How do you feel about genetic modification in unborn human babies? If you're interested, there are articles here, here, and here.
Personally, I think that changing a babies looks, athletic ability, and intelligence level is wrong. I'm sort of torn on modifying to prevent genetic diseases.

Poll please.
As far as making sure someone will be beautiful or any of that crap, I'm kind of against it. Let nature take it's course.
Now, for preventing diseases and birth defects I'm supportive, for no one should have to suffer anything if it's preventable/curable.

Using science to improve an unborn child's looks and such is wrong! These advances should be used to help save these children from diseases and birth defects so they don't have to suffer and their quality of life can be improved.

I don't see what's so wrong about making the kids better at stuff and all pretty and smart. If you want to "let nature take it's course", well, illness and defects are nature taking it's course. If you're changing stuff anyway, you might as well make 'em not stupid. Because I'm pretty sure your intelligence is a big factor in your career, which is a big factor in how much money you make, which is a big factor in your quality of life. And pretty people make more money. neutral
I wouldn't genetically modify my kid at all, but I wouldn't care if other people did.

If it's not being used to help cure genetic illness I think it's a sick crime.

Have you ever seen the movie GATTACA? This would be a great movie for people to see, before you start right off the bat saying that it's a great idea. Personally? Yay towards curing defects/diseases and such. Nay to all else.
