This is a good twist in the plot of nexus. It's actually good to see CM Punk to actually be back wrestling after his hip injury. But...it's also about time they ended up using him in the main event status. He is a great wrestler. He draws a crowd. He has great mic skills. The only thing that I don't like about this is that they totally left Joey Mercury and Festus (Luke Gallows) whatever his name may be, on smackdown and just fall to the waste side.
Agreed, it really does help the faction to have a new captain to the S.S. Nexus. I wonder what they're going to do with Barrett though. But for sure, this will help him to be able to make it on his own.
On the Gallows/Mercury situation, I agree that it's unfortunate to waste them like that, but both are people who were brought in for that specific reason. So when they pushed the idea as far as they wanted, they disbanded the group, but were left with 2 wrestlers that they didn't know what to do with. When you disband a group, you should always have a little something for the rest of the group, not just split them to focus on one.
