 Ugh, summer. Lazy, hot, boring.. hot... Gah, hot, dammit. Kamu let out a heavy huff as he walked, ears flicked back and tongue lolling out of the side of his mouth. It was summer and it was.. It.. Oh man, it was hot! Well, he didn't have it as bad as some of the others, but the heat soaking into his darker gray coat was more than enough to bug him. What did this lead to? The male becoming even pissier and much more annoyed than his usual self.
"Hm." He gave a quick snort, slowing down his pace before stopping and giving himself a rapid shake. 'This god damn heat is driving me insane! Ugh.. Where's Nika when I wanna see her? I could drag her to the lake or something on a day like this. But.. then again... Kamu's thoughts trailed off at the thought of lower members seeing the two of them. All those young punks would probably question his authority, seeing him being all lovey dovey with the Elder.
"Hmph." With a grunt, he simply flopped over into the meadow grass. And just.. laid there. Thinking? Making plans for the coming winter? Plotting ways to see Nika behind the entire Gang's back? Oh, who knew. "Stupid punks."

 Lap five and she was still bored. Leigh let out a sigh as she slowed to a trot and looked around--most of the Gang was asleep, resting or training, like she was. Nika was...actually, she didn't know where her Elder-to-Be was, but that was alright; Leigh knew from experience that her friend could handle herself.
Bored of running circles, Leigh moved off the path to just walk around and try to clear her head (why did she keep thinking about Amaroq, anyway?) when out of the corner of her eye she spotted Kamu.
Mm. She'd been meaning to have a talk with him, and now was as good a time as any.
"Who're punks?" Leigh asked, overhearing him talking to himself as she made her way over. "And why're they stupid?" Leigh sat down and fluffed her tail around her back legs and tilted her head at the roughed-up male below her curiously; like Nika and herself, he looked like he'd seen more than his fair share of fights.

Mm? Oh, damn it all, what now? Kamu didn't bother getting up completely, instead, choosing to just lift his head and look.
He gave a blink, eyes half-lidded.
Oh, that one chick. Nika's friend from the past, or something like that. Uh.. Lei. No, no. Wait.. He let a slight smirk go over his lips as she made her way over to him, eying her as she sat down. "Leigh." He greeted, curled tail giving as much of a wag as it could. Was that it? Leigh?.. Whatever. She was pretty. Not nearly as much as his girl, but.. close enough. "All those damn younger members of the Gang, that's who." Kamu said, crossing one front leg over the other and properly sitting up to face her. "No real reason. They just.." With a raise of his lip, the male sneered, "are."
His eyes flicked away from her face for a moment, looking over her scars.. Ooh. Those were attractive. And that fluffed fur... Kamu lowered his lip to it's usual place and put on a small smile. Mm, that as-
s**t, no! Leigh was a punk, like them!.. Maybe. With a soft huff, he gave a n** at his bottom lip. There was no point in ogling someone like that. Then again, this female was Nika's friend, so.. maybe she wasn't so bad. Hmph. Someone tolerable and less cheerful and 'super-de-freakin'-duper, oh my 'Deities, eeee!~' happy than all of the other females in the Gang would be nice.
"Hn.. What are you doin' away from your lil' Buckland Band?"

Leigh didn't comment about the smirk, or the way his eyes fell over her body; she didn't really care. Well, she did, but not really in a bad way.
A small smirk came to her mouth as she chuckled and nodded knowingly--she might not be quite as old as Kamu or Nika, but she was closer than any of the others, and she knew exactly what he was talking about.
"Awful cheerful punks, they are," Leigh half-agreed, staying sitting up instead of laying down; her muscles were beginning to stiffen up from running, she didn't think she could lay down quite yet.
"It's not just my Band," Leigh said, shrugging one shoulderblade. "Amaroq is with them. He's doing his crazy training again," Leigh rolled her eyes at her co-captain; she really didn't get him. "He thinks I coddle them, so I decided to let him alone this time," Leigh huffed lightly and shook her head. "I don't coddle them, I just don't let them kill each other."
Leigh's ear twitched as she heard footsteps coming toward them--a female. Maybe Nika? Ah, no, one of the so-called 'punks'. Leigh didn't even have to do anything--she just looked at her, one brow slightly raised, and the other female got the message and skittered back to her friends.
"Anyway. So you're with Nika," Leigh said bluntly, looking back at the black-gray male before her. "Y'love her?"

"Hah, 's good of you. Keepin' 'em in line, not lettin' them kill each other." Kamu commented, peeling his eyes away from the female and turning his attention more towards the conversation now. He gave a soft snort, stretching a front paw out to stretch his leg leisurely. "Dead members aren't worth craaaap~" The last word was said in a near sing-song tone as he stretched. Almost. Pfft, he was a male, he wasn't about to sing like some.. some... extremely unmanly thing. Not a chick, necessarily. Just.. somethin' else. Somethin' unmanly and pathetic and.. bah.
At the arrival of the other female, Kamu whipped his head, nose scrunching and lips starting to pull back just a tad to show off his pearly whites. Tch, greeeat. It was one of those damn punks he and Leigh had just been talking about. He sat up and pulled himself together, about to rise to his feet when the younger Sledfox ran off. Looking over at his fellow captain, the male turned the to-be snarl into a sly grin, realizing that the look she had simply given was all that was needed to get the message across.
"Y'love her?"
Kamu's grin was quickly wiped off his face at the question, ears flicking back. Son of a.. did she know? He quickly glanced down at his paws, giving a quick scratch at his chest with one before looking back up. God dammit, she was Nika's friend, she probably did.
It was totally time to deny, deny, deny. "Pfft. No. Why would I love her?" He answered simply, a mix between a childish pout and a glare on his face. "I have not a clue of what you're talkin' 'bout, Leigh."
