My mom used to make pecan rolls Christmas eve and we'd have those for breakfast Christmas morning. I wish I could carry on that tradition - but I do not have her skills with yeast breads. I have to use a bread machine! LoL
I do have a special ornament that has to have a special place on the tree - it's the first ornament to get placed, always! And its always front and center near the top!
Ohhhh... And I make candy and rumballs and cookies every year! That is something that started with my mom! She and I would work together and we'd make enough to put together boxes and baskets to give as gifts. I still use her recipes, and I always think of her while Im working! It really means alot to me to carry on that tradition.
Oh, and I always hang bells on every door - another thing I got from my mom, but this one goes way back. Its a Celtic thing to keep bells on your doors, to hear when the elves are about. LoL
