This is the Profile and OOC thread for Godhand Rising.

Here is where all your answers will be found, as well as all information pertaining to plot. Or, if you'd rather just chat it up a little while waiting for a post, that works, too!

I was Born: Kenji Yamato
But You'll Know Me Better As: I just go by Kenji. Nothing special.
I'm A 21 Year Old Male
My Bloodline Speaks: Japanese-American.
Others Like to Think I'm: Calm, quite unflappable. I'm bluntly honest with just about everyone, though I don't give my opinion unless it is asked for. I'm best friends with Zane--though he is slightly egotistical. And just looking for some a** to kick. Somehow we get along quite well. I try to be much like my uncle and find balance, though I do have a temper which can carry me off my feet. No one is perfect, though, I suppose. I tend not to try and be the aggressor in most situations.
And As Far As Looks Go: Um.This is the best I have.
Fear The Power Of: The Path of Four Gods, the strongest of styles. I'm mainly defensive. Though I have skills in most other branches of the marital arts - it was a benefit of living with my uncle - I mainly rely in the Path's incorporation of Taekwondo.
You Can't Match My: Defense and technique.
This Is My Story: My parents are strangers to me. I remember nothing of them. It does not bother me. My uncle told me stories, but not often--I had no desire to learn of something that would only bring me backward looking and sorrowful thoughts. Instead, I focus my attentions on the present and future.

I've lived in Arclight City since its founding. I remember well when it was a beautiful place. Make no mistake, I thought it as fantastic an idea and concept as did all those men who created the city in the first place. But, just as Icarus fell from the sky in his quest toward the sun, so, too, did this city underestimate the nature of things. It's so clear, looking back on it, the danger. But at the time, who could have told?

My uncle fought bitterly against the turf wars. I often joined him, though voyeurism has never really been my forte. I've fought for those that I know get hurt. That is enough for me. Zane and I will handle the violence, and once the war is over--which it may, very well, never be--I will go back to meditations and learning.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: I enjoy learning about other Peoples. Currently I am learning about the Arabians, though my favorite is the Native American culture.
Play My Song: Passion; Utada Hikaru
Played By: (Aishe Yeshaya Lee)

I was Born: Zane Marduk
But You'll Know Me Better As: The Burnout Inferno
I'm A 19 Year Old Male
My Bloodline Speaks: American
Others Like to Think I'm: the quintessential party loving ladies' man. And they'd be right, of course. Nothing I love more than a good time and a good lady (or three) to party it up with. Some say I'm a little obnoxious with it...but there'll always be haters, right? Besides, I only really listen to my best bud, Kenji. Speaking of, he'd say despite my 'faults' I'm as loyal as they come. Again, I don't deny this, you mess with my friends, you mess with me. But then, he did also say that I'm a slightly full of myself blood knight just looking for some a** to kick...hm, guess I can't listen to Ken all the time.
And As Far As Looks Go: Beautiful, right?
Fear The Power Of: Capoeria
You Can't Match My: Speed and Power
This Is My Story: For the most part, my life was pretty normal...awesome, really. Had an awesome dad, a beautiful and loving mom, and my little sister Mia - who surprisingly, wasn't annoying or bratty. Life was good...but I had always felt that there was something more for me out there, though I had no 'effing idea what it was.

Well, I found it eventually, but I wish I hadn't. You see, we lived in a not-so-nice neighborhood in city up north, you know the kind. Well, one day Mia was hanging with some friends...part of the wrong crowd, apparently, cuz they ended up around with a bunch of street thugs. Whatever happened exactly doesn't matter, but the fact is that one of those creeps was angry or on something, or both...and took out whatever was bothering him on Mia. Beat her badly, nearly crippling her. Even now, she has to walk with a crutch. When I learned of this, I dunno...something within me was just set off. After finding out from Mia's friends who did this, I paid them a little visit, in their dinky little excuse for a hangout in an abandoned building. So filled with rage, I didn't even give one of those speeches heroes give when dishing out vengeance: I just laid into them the moment I walked in.

And it was...exhilarating. Euphoric. I couldn't even explain it to you. That something more I was looking for? I found it in fighting. As I stood watching that building go up in the flames I lit (no one die, don't worry) I decided I'd learn to fight, and become strong. If not to satisfy my nature, then to not have to see another Mia.

Well, after all that, my family wanted to move. And the logical place was Arclight City; a company their was working on some fancy new tech that'd possibly help Mia walk properly again. Not too soon after moving, I met Kenji and his uncle Taejo, the later who taught me the basics of Capoeria to go with my skill at breakdancing. Me and Kenji have been best friends since, and I'm sure we'd do anything for each other...so when the street wars started, and everything happened with VOID, there was no doubt I'd be by his side.

Because, hey, at least I'm getting a good fight outta this deal, right?
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: Seeing as breakdancing was sorta derived from Capoeria, I'm pretty good at that. Also, I guess you could say I'm kinda sorta a pyromaniac...but it's only, like, a really slight thing. Honest.
Play My Song: Burn It Down - Swollen Members
Played By: Soren the Branded

I was Born: Ramona Bateman
But You'll Know Me Better As: Wendy
I'm A nineteen (but when asked, I'll say twelve) Year Old Female
My Bloodline Speaks: British
Others Like to Think I'm: Eccentric, but joyful. Stubborn, of course.
And As Far As Looks Go: Wavy mdium to dark brown hair (with natural copper and red undertones) that reaches her shoulders. She's 5'5" and 140 pounds of muscle. She's pale (shining a flash light on her at night makes her look like a ghost) with bright green eyes.
Fear The Power Of: Judo.
You Can't Match My: Speed and Technique
This Is My Story: Ramona was born in Cardiff, England to a relatively normal family. Each night, her parents read her stories, but there was one story in particular that she loved the most- Peter Pan. Eventually, that was the only story she ever wanted to read. As she grew older, paraphernalia from the tale filled her room. She drew pictures of the characters in her notebooks, stared at the night time sky looking at the second star on the right. Then came the evening when her parents took her to the play in London. It was raining, as they drove their car back to the hotel they were staying in, and another driver lost control, leaving Ramona alone in the world. And so she went traveling- searching for Neverland, as it were. She found herself here.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: She wears Peter Pan's outfit, she crows, and she uses a hang glider to make it look like she's flying.
Played By: Desert Red

I was Born: Shurong Ray
But You'll Know Me Better As: Neijia
I'm A 17 Year Old Female
My Bloodline Speaks: Chinese
Others Like to Think I'm: a big-hearted girl hiding behind a large ego. I have no idea what they mean, but it doesn’t matter either. I think I’m pretty awesome. They also tell me I should hold back a bit in fighting. No clue what they’re talking about! Fighting is meant to be an exhilarating sport, so why should I be nicer? My opponent is my enemy, and you can only gain your enemies respect with the sight of their own blood.
Even if I’m a bit uncontrollable when fighting, I don’t like to fight without reason and I try to avoid conflict as much as possible. And when it comes to training and meditation, I’m all seriousness. Meditation is my favorite hobby.
And As Far As Looks Go:x
Fear The Power Of: Tai Chi Chuan or Sun Style
You Can't Match My: Technique and speed
This Is My Story: I lived a normal life in China with my older brother and sister standing in as my parents. I suppose my mother and father died when I was too small to remember. But it doesn’t matter, you can’t miss what you never had. With my siblings as the only authority over me, my life was always very carefree.
I was never the “wont-take-your-s**t” kid. If I ever got into a fight with someone, it was for a reason, or I’d just turn the other cheek. When I was eleven, and some kids tried to jump me on the streets while I was walking to a convenience store, I discovered my Ki. I didn’t know what it was really, but the old man who ran the convenience store did. He was one of the handful of Qi masters in China, luckily for me, and he took me in with the consent of my siblings. I chose my own fighting style, one that required balance, speed, and precision, as well as a high level mastery of neijia techniques. With my Master, I developed my fighting skills and honed my inner strength.
My master died when I was fifteen. Someone broke into the store and shot him in broad daylight. I took a month to grieve, packed my things and some of his, and moved to the high-crime city of Arclight. My intent was to become a gang member, work my way to power, and take over the city. But I somehow found myself in the Dojo, and now fighting against VOID.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: I prefer not to fight with weapons, but I’ve mastered quite a few.

I was Born: Mugen Kurosawa
But You'll Know Me Better As: Mugen
I'm A 35 Year Old Male
My Bloodline Speaks: Japanese
Others Like to Think I'm: ...Does it really matter what they think? I know who I am. I am a man of wealth and taste, of power and influence. Those who don't respect me tend to fear me, and only the foolish would stand in the way of my goals.
And As Far As Looks Go: I care not for such frivolities.
Fear The Power Of: The Path of Four Gods ~ Void Fist; my personal variation on the immortal style that incorporates Bajiquan
You Can't Match My: Power
This Is My Story: I am Mugen Kurosawa, president of the Infinity Crops and leader of VOID. I am here in Arclight City to cleanse it of the pitiful rabble that dirties its streets. Nothing will come in between my team and our mission...and more then that, nothing will stop me from carrying out my destiny.

Frankly, that's all you need to know.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: As I said, I am a man of culture and the arts. I loathe excessive displays of wealth, but I spare no expense when I desire the best. And I have my reasons for wearing a mask. You can speculate what you want.
Play My Song: Seizure of Power - Marilyn Manson
Played By: Soren the Branded

I was Born: Katarina Zevran Romanski
But You'll Know Me Better As: U.S.S.R. It was started as a joke, and stuck, sadly.
I'm A (20) Year Old Female
My Bloodline Speaks: Russian-British.
Others Like to Think I'm: a bit of a b***h, in all honesty. I can understand why. I am not the nicest person to work under or alongside, because of my far-reaching paranoia. I'm also horribly OCD about some things, especially about napkins and fabric. Anyone that has tried to exploit this for their amusement generally ends up with extra lead in their foot. Aside from that, I'm not horribly awful. I'd like to be a nice person, I just don't know about going about it.
And As Far As Looks Go: Here.
Fear The Power Of: Sambo. It's a Russian Fighting technique from the 1920's, created from judo and others, for the army.
You Can't Match My: Speed, defense.
This Is My Story: My father was a diplomat. My mother was a beautiful Russian woman, a baker in a hotel cafe. I'm told they fell in love at first sight, though this hardly holds true to the present moment. They scarcely can stand to be in one anothers presence for more than a few moments. I harbor no illusions regarding love in the slightest, regardless of whether or not they did truly love each other at one point.

I was educated at private universities and took up piano, the arts, sufficiently girly activities. It was when I discovered the martial arts that I truly took off. I flourished--and when my family returned to stationing in Russia, I took up Sambo.

To go through my college education and how I ended up here would be boring. It's where I am now. That's all that really matters.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: I have debilitating weakness naturally. It kicks in at times, but I always fight through it. Mind over matter.
Play My Song: L'Assasymphonie
Played By: Aishe Yeshaya Lee

I was Born: Aria Mirele Rivkin
But You'll Know Me Better As: Mirele
I'm A 19 Year Old female
My Bloodline Speaks: Israeli
Others Like to Think I'm: the shy and depressed type. I admit, I don't talk much but they're greatly mistaken if they think I'm weak and fragile. I am quiet because I like to observe my opponents and analyze their skills. I am determined and focused. I am strong-willed and I do not give up easily. Oh, I'm also a perfectionist and an over-achiever.
And As Far As Looks Go: Me
Fear The Power Of: Krav Maga
You Can't Match My: speed and defense.
This Is My Story: I am an army brat. My mother is in the Israeli army. My father is a member of Mossad.
Discipline was a big part of my household and I was taught to obey my parents. I never argued with them. I never talked back. That's probably the reason behind my quiet personality. I only spoke when spoken to. After all, I found it quite unnecessary to ramble on and on about a random topic. Education was also a big part. My father wanted me to follow in his footsteps and well...you can't really be a part of the national intelligence if you're dumb. I was tutored in five different languages, I did coursework several levels ahead of my own and participated in sports to enhance my athletic skills. I was busy...always busy and my social life was next to nonexistent. But although they wanted me to excel in everything, I was not trained in Krav Maga until my sixteenth year.
So I'm quite new to this whole martial arts thing but because I'm an over-achiever, I'm proven myself worthy enough for Mugen.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: I'm fluent in English, French, Hebrew, Arabic, and German. I'm also quite flexible and agile because of my gymnastics background.
Play My Song: Showdown--Pendulum
Played By: Halentyne

I was Born: Vincent Bailey
But You'll Know Me Better As: Don Juan
I'm A 26 Year Old Male
My Bloodline Speaks: Irish-American
Others Like to Think I'm: Conceited, promiscuous, dangerous... I'd say their right.
And As Far As Looks Go: Medium Length ginger hair. Six foot three and two-hundred fifty pounds of pure muscle. Green eyes, very few freckles, and tanned-skin.
Fear The Power Of: Fisticuffs/ Brazilian Jiu Jitsu/ Capoeira (No, really. All of them.)
You Can't Match My: Power and Speed
This Is My Story: Hard to believe, but I once believed in that stupid s**t called love. I had me a girl that I was faithful to, and even proposed to her. See, I didn't have much money at the time, but neither did she, and it wasn't like she was going anywhere with her life, so I offered her my departed mother's ring. She took it and the next day she left. I found the ring in a thrift store the next day. Damn whore. So I decided women are tramps in the first place, and I might as well get a little pleasure out of them if I'm going to have to live with the wretched things.
Having really nothing to devote my life to, I decided to join a fight club beneath my favorite pub, where Seamus taught me everything I needed. Oh yeah, some babe in the club knew capoeira, so I got her to teach me in exchange for a few "favors." Then Seamus gets his a** locked up and spills about the fight club, forcing the place to get shut down. This is of course when I get the bright idea to move from South Boston to here, since he prolly said my name, too. And getting arrested ain't my thing.
Oh, Did I Forget To Mention?: I use my entire body when fighting. If I can find a way to kill you with jut my hips, dammit I'll do it.
Play My Song: "Queen Anne's Revenge" by Flogging Molly.
Played By: Ramona Mantis

That b*****d.
He needs to hurry up.
I'm on the phone with him right now.
Apparently he's wandering back and forth between Gaia and reading American Psycho.

I need to read that book.
Hell, I'm tempted to watch the movie right now.
It's so great.
Is it wrong that I'm attracted to Patrick Bateman?
Is it wrong that I told Desert Red "Bateman" when he asked me for a realistic last name?"
IS IT WRONG THAT HE LAUGHED AND SAID "THAT'S SO HAPPENING?!"
PostPosted: Wed Dec 15, 2010 6:12 pm

None of that's weird at all.
Bateman's supposed to attractive; that's what makes his psychosis more jarring, I think. (Never seen the movie or read the book though, so that's just me).
And all the other stuff is normal.
