Tea continued to bustle around. She had just arrived back in Durum, having used the swiftest mode of travel afforded her in order to be back in time to set up for the event.

Streamers, balloons, party hats, flowers, and those annoying/amusing party poppers that shot streamers with a loud POP. The buffet had been laden with treats and goodies. Presents piled high on a separate table.

Keptan spent his time running around the buffet. All kinds of wonderful food was piled high, and Tea only paused to note that there was one plate that she hadn't seen handed to Keptan, even though it looked familar.

A handful of Modists had work to do before the party, and would be showing up late. Others were keeping dear Fiddler distracted as Tea and Keptan rushed this way and that setting up. Tea figured Fiddler didn't even know she had made it back yet.

Other members of the Church slipped into the room and made frantic motions. Fiddler's footsteps and Rommy's voice in the hall had alerted Tea's pointy ears that their time was up.

People fled this way and that and hid, Tea killed the lights and waited... holding her breath as Rommy and Fiddler entered the darkened room. Amazing smells of wonderful food washed over Fiddler and Rommy switched on the lights.

"SURPRIZE!" Tea leaped and popped three of the mini-party poppers as other members leaped up and shouted.

Keptan mentally checked, doublechecked, and then triplechecked the buffet table. It seemed that everything was in order... whew. But still, he had that nagging feeling he always got that somehow, some way, he'd forgotten something. But he put it out of his mind for a second, because Fiddler had just arrived. As the lights poured forth and illuminated the party, he popped up with everyone and chorused along with them.

*arrives with a couple buckets of KFC for the party, one big one of regular, one of crispy* Hey, happy gaiaversary. Yeah, I know, lazy me, being the one who brings the KFC, but it's going to be a long day. I'll just go over in the corner and nap now.

*naps quietly, a half eaten chicken leg in his hand.*
