Chalk wars - Revenge of the Captain Continued from "Usually Unusual"Once again Pitting Fayalite against Selenite - but the rules have changed. Roll 1 d 20 per each 'strike' - 10 and under is a miss, 11 up is a strike, rolling a 18-20 is a 'critical strike' aka lethal target chalk smear, rolling a one means you just impaled yourself on the opponents chalk earning an extra chalk strike. Regular strikes are worth 1 point each Critical strikes are worth 2 for those feeling competitive. Current Tally against each other is 4 points against 4 points --- where it gets interesting. Each roll you make will now need two 20 sided dice
DIE ONE - Determines your Strike
DIE TWO - Determines random events.
DIE TWO EVENTS
1-2 --- Zink stabs through the fire escape to strike at you with the poll. If your strike roll is EVEN he succedes, if it is odd you dodge and he misses.
3-5 - No event, continue fighting
6-10 -- smoke wars the legend continues - Zink fires a smoke pellet into the frey. For the next 2 posts each of you make the air is filled with smoke - take three off your hit roll.
11- 16 -- no event, continue fighting.
17-19 -- Zink stabs through the fire escape to strike at you with the poll, if your strike roll is ODD he succeeds, if it is odd you dodge and he misses.
20 - You grab the poll and remove it from play for one round while he fetches it.

"Alright...everyone up for round two..." Zink said dusting off his coat and waving to the fire escape. He picked up the long poll with the chalk on the end and if nothing else said that 'something was up' with 'round two' that did.
"We're going to work a little with the unexpected. You never know when another senshi might show up, you never know if one of your comrades might miss. ANYTHING can happen in a fight and I want you as ready as you can be to deal with it. If you think this is foolish...I'll be happy to add Erabus to the battle, I think he'd find it fun."

Fayalite eyed the chalk at the end of the pole... for a moment she wondered why SHE couldn't have something like that! She was the ranged fighter they had... than again in such close proximity on the fire escape a long ranged weapon would hinder her more than help her.
This time the ladder for the fire escape was already down, so all she did was walk up and place herself in a similar place as last times start. "You know boss, poking sheep in their stalls could be seen as cruel." Fayalite just had to add in some sort of humor into this didn't she?

"If you're feeling like sheep I'm sure I could manage an impromptu haircut..."
He said with a wicked glint in his pale eyes. "And there had better be some wolf under that sheep skin, let's see if we can't knock it free hmm?"
He mused and glanced towards Selenite, if they were chess pieces he would have considered them knight and bishop respectively... but there was no reason to let them know how or why he valued them so.

"Well, we'll try and put on a good show," Selenite said, restraining herself from rolling her eyes at the byplay between her commanding officer and teammate. She did reach a hand to her tightly braided blue hair; no haircut for her!
Following Fayalite up the ladder, the bluenette swung her chalk stick a couple of times experimentally before suddenly lunging at the other girl and slashing at her arm.

A flicker of motion at the corner of Selenites eyes, Zink shot the chalk-spear forward through the bars of the fire escape, a narrow miss that nearly drew a chalk line up her legging before quickly retracting it looking pleased and amused.
"I'm sure you will, I intend to be sure of it, good dodge, good strike." He nodded.

Fayalite hissed out at the feeling of the chalk on skin, you think chalk wouldnt hurt.. its rather uncomfortable. She had a nice violet streak against her arm. Dodging to the side, fayalite made a attempt at returning the favor to Selenite, slashing at her side.

Fayalite's strike managed to be a gut wound, rather like the one Selenite had inflicted on her earlier. This was distracting enough (and painful) that the bluenette missed her next strike against the other girl by bare inches as she also tried to dodge the damned pole her captain was trying to hit them with.
At least that time he'd swung at Fayalite instead of her, Selenite mused as she darted past and turned to take up a guard position briefly.

Zink's poll jabs shot through the bars, Faya he hit, and he struck again quickly but missed Selenite, crumbling a bit of the chalk as his jab glanced off the rusty metal bars that were ironically there for the safety of people on the walk.
"Keep going..." He said with a satisfied glint in his eyes.

Fayalite managed to go low and dart out of the way of Selenites attack, but not before getting nailed with the pole by zink. She grunted out in pain and rolled away, blue and violet chalk smudges now. She was going to take that pole and shove it whe-....
Before she finished that thought, she rolled over once more and made a slash at Selenites legs.
(Guys are we keeping HP? And im guessing Zinks hits count too? If so i think Fayas HP is at... 2? Cause selenite hit once(non crit) and Zink hit once)

As soon as Fayalite rolled, Selenite made an almost leisurely looking stab at her teammate's back, taking a slash on her shins for her trouble. Dancing back, she also avoided Zinkenite's pole stab from below rather easily.
A short huff of victory was all she allowed; becoming overconfident would absolutely lead to her making mistakes. And she was tired of doing that.

Ow. ********, that would have been a MAJOR pain in her a** if that was a real battle. It would have meant her spine being cut open. Paralyzed, that would have been sucky to spend her life attached to a wheelchair.
She would have rather been shot in the head.
Making it seem almost real, though in reality she couldnt, she leaned backwards... acting like she was hurt. All before lunging once more aiming for the others ankle.

The pole stabbed through the bars towards Selenite, she dodged neatly just after striking a brilliant blow to Fayalite.
In turn fayalite struck as the poll vanished again, it seemed for a second that he might wait before striking again but then the hiss of smoke reached their ears and smacked off the side of the building to roll to a stop at their feet before cracking fully and belching forth a wave of vision obscuring sulfurous smoke.
"Keep going!" He called, they needed to be able to work in HIS conditions too..

There was a slight sting against her ankle as Fayalite's strike hit but as Selenite wiggled her foot experimentally, she decided it hadn't really been all that bad of a strike. Certainly not the near-crippling blow she'd landed on the other Lieutenant in the previous exchange.
The bluenette had been about to dart forward and make an attempt at Fayalite's side to press her advantage when a cloud of smoke appeared, obscuring the field. With a cough, Selenite quickly wished she had a mask like her Captain's. No wonder he did, though! This stuff was nasty. Momentum lost for the moment, she made a half-hearted attempt to hit where she'd last seen Fayalite.
