Artemis walked into the tailor shoppe, approaching the man who looked rather exhausted. Artemis explained herself minimally, figuring that people in Takumi already knew that they less they knew, the better. She bit her lip as he considered her proposition, to work under him in order to learn tailoring. He considered all of the orders he had to complete and relented, preferring to split the labor anyhow.
She followed him to the back. It was a big room, with thread and cloth placed on shelves, racks, bins, and tables. There was enough material to dress an army. [1] She let him lead her to a table in the back, which was buried in leather bits and un-threaded needles. She looked at him expectantly. Eventually he explained that he wanted her to clean it all up. [2] She didn't like menial labor, but she relented before she could voice her protest. This was for her team; she needed to be sharper and better in order to help them. Tailoring was an easy enough skill that would come in handy countless times. [3]
She began collecting the leather in her arms. Gima sat down at a chair and leaned his head back, asleep in mere moments. She bit back a sigh and placed all of the leather in an appropriate drawer. [1] She returned to the table to begin collecting the needles. She put them in a small basket so as to prevent herself from being stabbed. She put the collection of them on a different table full of tools. [2] -
A bell rang. A customer had arrived. She looked to Gima, but he was passed out. [1] She left the back room and walked to the front counter. "Hello!" Her voice was fake and cheerful. The customer was an elderly woman, who looked very surprised to see her. She must be a regular, looking for Gima. [2] "What are you here for?" The old woman considered her suspiciously before answering that she'd ordered a jacket. Artemis knew it wasn't done yet. Gima was clearly a procrastinator. [3] She smiled at the woman apologetically. "I'm sorry, but it isn't quite done yet. It should be finished tomorrow." The elderly woman looked sour, but almost like she'd expected this outcome as well. Gima was probably consistently lazy about his projects. She wished the elder a good day before returning to her previous task. [4]
- She grabbed a rag and wiped down the table that used to host all of the leather. She cleaned it from dust, then wet down the rag and returned to wipe down the table properly. It had a lot of loose thread and glitter hidden on the surface from previous jobs. [3]

[NPC] Gima the Tailor
Gima awoke from his nap to see Artemis continue carrying the workshop. "Hey, girlie," he called out, voice still sleep-heavy, "I haven't gotten to renovating the room in the back, yet. You ought to clean that place out when there aren't any customers." Artemis grumbled something ungrateful under her breath, and Gima sighed in response. "You're doing great, keep it up, kid." Before she could respond, he was asleep again.
She sighed with her entire soul. Gima was, by far, the laziest person on the earth. Regardless, she followed his instructions and walked past his sleeping form in the back room in order to enter the dirty, dusty, unused room. [1] There was a table that was slightly uneven but she didn't mind. It didn't wobble when she put weight on it, so it would do for now. She ran a finger down it, gagging at just the sight of the thickness of the dust on her finger. [2] She pulled an overturned chair from the corner out and set it under the table. When she was ready to begin working, she would use the table set up. She needed to put the rest of the room into working order, before then. [3] [ prep ]
The entrance door bell rang as someone else entered the store. A flash of panic raced up her spine as she hurried back out the door. She passed a grumbling, mostly-asleep Gima in the back room [1]. As she entered the front room, she realized it was just a kid. She approached the front counter with wariness. She expected him to be a beggar [2]. Before she could open her mouth, the kid held up a pouch of ryo. She furrowed her brow at it before he explained that it was a tip for Gima. Artemis nearly snorted at the idea of Gima doing anything well or fast enough to deserve a tip, but she grabbed it and promised to hand it to him regardless [3] [ assistance ]
Returning to the unused room, she continued her observations. The wall to the right of the entrance had various wood planks of several sizes. This had previously been a storage room of whatever the hell the store had been originally. Or, maybe the room had been built with this store in mind, but Gima never touched the room until now. [1] She addressed the broken wardrobe there. It held six drawers at the bottom, which started at her upper thigh and went down to her ankles. The top of the dresser, from her upper thigh to her head, was one big area that would traditionally hold a mirror. [2] She opened the wooden flaps, and coughed at the dust that assaulted her. She tiptoed into the back room in order to grab a rag from underneath Gima's sleeping body and used it to wipe out the inside, barely concealing a squeal at the sensation of spider webs. She could use the upper wardrobe container to carry her finished works, and the smaller drawers for all of her tailoring material, assuming Gima would let her do her actual tailor work back here. The entrance bell rang again. s**t! She'd forgotten to prop it open after the kid! She raced past Gima, who had watched the blur of her with a wary eye [1]. She was out of breath when she got to the front counter. The teenager there didn't notice - or more likely, didn't care. He handed her a folded piece of paper without explanation and left [2]. She followed him out the store, then shoved the door open as far as it could get. She kicked a stone in front of the door and waited to see how stable that position would be. When the stone didn't budge, and neither did the door, she gave the inanimate object a thumbs up and returned to the store, confident the bell would not ring again and upset Gima [3]. [ assistance ]
She returned again. The wall opposite of the entrance to the room was adorned with a few long shelves and had a bin sitting in the right corner. She could easily use the bin for extra cloth. The shelves she dusted off with her rag, saddened that the color in it was dulling under the dust. [1] She could find a use for the shelves, maybe for thread. Or tools, she supposed. She would need some scissors and other items in order to tailor properly. [2] The left wall to the entrance of the room held a hope chest. It was rather large and made her think about how much s**t Gima must have put back here and never looked back on. She giggled the chest until the top lifted off its whiny hinges. [3] [ preparation ]
She hadn't thought about the noise. "KID, if you don't stop making noise!" She flinched heavily at the sound of Gima's rage. But then she heard him snoring all over again [1]. Thank goodness Gima wouldn't actually take this apprenticeship from her. Not yet, anyways. She didn't care for him much after his lame first impression but she definitely needed the experience [2]. She was happy to assist him in getting his naps, however, if it meant she could practice tailoring free style in the future. She could use his advice on things but she was never one for straight up mentor-protege relationships. She didn't like being watched while she was learning something, it felt weird and intimate [3]. She returned to the chest and thanked the gods that the chest hadn't closed while she had had her little panic. The room was too dark to look inside the chest, and she was highly terrified of the prospect of reaching a hand in blind [1]. Did she expect something in there to bite her? No. Could it happen anyways? Yes. [2] She took a deep breath in the musty room and reached inside. She felt satin and gossamer and netting. Yikes, there was an odd combination of fabric inside. Gima really hadn't cared back then; he must've just tossed in s**t into the chest [3]. [ prep ]
She heard someone clear their throat loudly. It wasn't Gima, thankfully. But not-so-thankfully, that meant someone was being ignored on front counter [1]. The stone trick wouldn't work if she had no idea if there was a customer, she realized with a sour expression. At least the customer hadn't awoken Gima, who was out like a light on the table [2]. She put on a happier face and approached the front counter, trying to look friendly. If Gima got bad reviews about her service quality, she would be fired from her apprenticeship, for sure. He seemed lazy, sure, but he must care about his appearances if he held so many customers all the time. But the customer just wanted directions, and she gave them out happily before returning to the room [3]. [ assistance ]
She made a note to finish pulling up the fabric later; she'd also need to spruce up the room a bit. It lacked natural light so she needed to add a torch or some candles or something. Tailoring in poor light would kill her eyes before she made it to twenty. [1] She returned to the wardrobe and opened the second drawer, pleased to find some gloves, though they were filled with holes. She could use that as material, too. They were simple cloth, probably not enough useful enough for warmth. [2] If she was a betting girl, she'd say they were for gardening; not because they were thick enough to resist thorns, but because they could keep hands from getting super dirty. She hadn't seen a source of water yet, so it would figure that anyone who spend most of their time here didn't get to clean themselves often. She tossed the pair of gloves onto the makeshift table. "Get me a pillow!" Gima called out, voice muffled by his inner elbow. He was too lazy to even lift his head to scream at her. She sighed, then put on a more pleasant expression and went into the back room [1]. She grabbed a pillow from the tablet closest to her. She walked three feet, to where Gima was resting at a different table, and handed it to him. His head down, he didn't quite notice [2]. His chest moved steadily. Gods, was he asleep again? She bit back another sigh and lifted his head, resting it on her pillow. [ assistance ]

"Here," she said with a clipped tone as she handed the shopkeep the odd flower. It was a small errand to run, but she was still bitter about the company she'd found along the way. At least she was almost finished with her laundry list. [ D | Material Retrieval | Complete! ]

First Class: Taijutsu Discipline → Berserker: Your external training and devotion to taijutsu has allowed you to have moderately increased Strength and Fortitude. Your hardened body allows you to mitigate the pain/status effect of an incoming attack for two post per body rank, allowing you to continue the fight until the pain or hazards settle in. This means that a stunning effect can be delayed by up to ten posts at S rank. However, you ignore pain anytime you use this discipline for any reason, meaning if you delay having your arm disabled by a skill, you can also ignore the pain from having been stabbed on that post as well. Example: A ninja uses a lightning technique designed to stun you. For one post, you can delay that effect from taking hold, and have nine posts to continue delaying effects. Similarly, the pain from the attack itself is also ignored. This doesn't, however, prevent you from being blown away in the wind, or set on fire/drowned for example. Furthermore, if lethal damage is suffered then the delaying ability will be nullified for that effect.
Second Class: Taijutsu Discipline → Monk: A more internal martial artist, this user focuses on the ability to utilize chakra to increase their power and techniques due to their smaller body frame. Gains a -2 learning reduction to Pi Qua Quan, Hsing-I Pakua, and Xinyi liuhe Quan. Attacks overwhelm physical taijutsu techniques of the same rank or lower and type.
A creeping, silent darkness fell over the establishment, rolling in like a thick, voluminous fog. It was night time, and though the fog only made the surroundings appear to be even darker, evil intent lingered in the atmosphere. Sleeping in their comfy beds, the Steel Thread's master and apprentices had no thoughts other than their sweet, snoozy dreams, missing their one chance to react. Further into the day, it wasn't until after lunch that the theft was made known, and the alarms were sounded. Someone or some thing had absconded with a valuable piece of merchandise, and without the means to replace it, they were left with little in recompense.
Entering the store the young noblewoman gave a polite smile. Giving the man her payment for the custom order she had made a few days prior. She quickly headed into the back to change. Naturally, she paid for the best, and got the best. It fit her like a glove. So fluffing her hair so that it fit over the leather jacket she now wore she smiled and twirled,"I love it. Thank you both so much for your hard work!" With that she patted Rinka on her head,"Keep up kiddo."

Lugging nearly 70 pounds of extra stuff, the tiny dog girl skipped into the shop, beaming at her haul of more than 12000 Ryo worth of useless stuff. She set her things down, unwrapped the brand new cloak, and threw everything in to it before she took off with her stuff over her shoulder.

Smiling down at Yoshi when she claimed she wasn’t surprised that he would grab something like a breath mask for her, Theo chuckled softly, “You never know what enemies might throw at us, so always good to have things covered.” He’d say cheerfully as she said they should head to the armor shop and tailor next, “Alright, let’s go.”
Arriving at the Silver Thread, Theo hung out up by the counter this time, “You can go ahead and gather up what you’d like, Yoshi, they got all kinds of stuff, if there’s anything you want special made, once you have your other stuff we can talk to them about it up here before we pay.” He’d say happily. He wasn’t sure if she’d want anything special made like he had, but was thinking through what they could do if she did and they might have to hang around town for a day or two. He thought he had overheard something about a tavern and inn opening up here a few years back but would need to look around if it came to it.

6’2”, 250lbs solid muscle,white hair to his mid back, held back by his Suna headband with heterochromic blue and green eyes. Wearing thermal insulated leather armor, dyed black, with patches of dull silver metal on the chest, upper back, and upper arms. A pair of steel arm guards and steel backed gloves,all painted black with a dark blue lining. Black boots, a pair of 30” broadswords hanging from his hips. The skin on the inside of his forearms, if visible, is covered in small seals. Over all his armor, generally hiding it,he wears a baggy sleeved black robe with dark blue trim and a black armored cowl hood.

"Hmm. Enemies or you?" Yoshi asked, wondering if it was really about the enemies. She could see that, but it still would not surprise the snow-white-haired female if Theo had some poison in his arsenal. Maybe she should learn about poisons too. That was another conversation for another day. Yoshi nodded as she glanced around and liked the smell of this shop for some reason. Maybe it was because of the fresh leather? She took a deep inhale now and then just to enjoy the smell. Meanwhile, she gathered a few things and talked to them. They took her to the back and started to measure her. After that was done, Yoshi came out only holding scrolls. "So, I got specialty armor, I wanted it insulated, efreet skin, steel arm guards, nitinol alloy, mechanic's chakra lens, and mechanic's lens pack as well silent soles. They said it would be about a day. They took the gas mask to help incorporate it into the armor. Should we go to the weapons shop now?"
