I don't see the point of the shock- however, only if you've never seen snow in early December. It definitely does snow in the mountains in most of the state. However, the amounts of snow vary year to year depending on where you live (ie: Greensboro, Raleigh, Charlotte, Winston-Salem etc). All in all: it's a miracle. The NC needed a friendly reminder of the beauty of snow. 3nodding

I live near Charlotte I would love to live in the mountains they get it almost every year and sometime get a lot of it, but no I live in Concord a tiny little city along the outskirts of Charlotte that almost never sees much snow except the one time we had an ice storm but that was in January
Most of our snow comes in January through March

Well, just think of it as a miracle. I mean you do live in a state that gets snow, let alone a city near you. So there's always a natural possibility to get snow in Concord.

It is probably making up for the fact it did cool down here til late november ^^;
It was hot at the Renaissance Festival when I went and I thought it would be a lot cooler and would have to where extra layers instead I was wanting to take what little I was wearing off
But then I would be considered naked since there was only two parts to my dress :I

I was born in North Carolina and lived there for eight years of my life. It did snow there...it's not uncommon, but it's very rare! I remember swimming in a pool one winter with snow on the ground because the pools were heated all year round! So there is no reason to panic if it snows in December! Enjoy it while lasts there! whee

It wasn't much snow but it was there XD
It was just odd to see at this time of the year and even odder since we had days in November that were in the 80s
