When I die, I want my organs to be donated, and then after that, I want to be buried in a very delicate and fragile coffin up on a hill, overlooking a lake or pond and have a Great Oak Tree planted right above my grave so that it can feed off of my body's nutrients and have a plague/flat tombstone saying my name and a quote that I haven't thought up of yet.
So how would you like to be buried?

Well, I'd like to have as many of my organs used to save people as can be. After that, it's completely up to my family. My body is only a vessel, and after I die, it will only be an empty husk. Whatever my family decides is the best to do with my body, and whatever helps them deal with the grieving process the best, they are welcome to do.

Neh...haven't thought about it. Devin's idea sounds pretty tempting though. I guess I'd like to be buried somewhere near a forest overlooking the sea. And of course the plaque idea too....And I'd like any native, endangered plants to be planted near me to feed off of my body's nutrients. ^^

This sounds verry nice but I'd rather be buried within a forest reserve and have a willow tree grow over me with a plaque with my name and dates on it.

Just imagining the peace that all these burial places would bring really soothes me. smile Or maybe that's just cuz the wind is blowing through my window...neh. I dunno. But they all sound really nice, anyways.

That sounds so nice! I would probably have most of my organs donated (I'm happy-this seems to be a guild of organ donors) and then be cremated. I'd want my ashes scattered in some nice place.

I wanted it to be a single Great Oak Tree instead of being in a forest because so many Great Oak Trees do not exist in the world like they did in the past and I want my body to be a part of the recovery of the Great Oaks.
I was originally going to be cremated, but then I thought that my body was more useful as being a part of the Elements of Nature and the Universe so that it could feed off of it.

I definitely want to donate my useable organs. And maybe if there are parts that would be of use to science too... I would like the living to get the most benefit they can, I suppose. But I'd like what's left of me to be cremated and scattered in a natural garden. Hopefully somewhere that won't be disturbed by people much.
Though, I'm not much of one for believing in religion... it's true that every atom in us was born with the creation of the universe, and we all are reincarnations of stars. Whether there's life or not after death, it's comforting enough for me to know that all of the universe is one, and we will always exist in one form or another. heart

And that's the end. But our spirit/soul/heart goes into a newborn. Kinda like reincarnation, but not so extreme that the appearance is similar, the voice, the fate...etc. Just the personality. biggrin

I've definitely thought a lot about this.
Although much will probably change between now and when it's time for me to die (granted it'll be a while), I want to die in nature. I want my body to join the soil, as naturally as it came. Maybe I'll be like... mauled by a bear or something xd
Yeah, I don't really want to burried. I just want to die in the woods (and not on a hospital bed).

Whether it be for a loved one or nature, I want to die trying to help someone/something. I wouldn't mind if it was long painful, so long as I die for a cause. heart
