NOTE: If this gets out of hand it will be removed.
I am personally pro-life. I am a strong Christan, and only God can take the life of a child, mostly one who is innocent.

As a Christian and a Conservative, both of which hold high pro-life beliefs, my choice should be fairly clear. Also, be glad your mother held the same beliefs.

Exactly. However, even if people are pro-choice, sometimes they actually still have the baby because they may want it.

Pro-choice, all the way. I don't approve of aborting a fetus 8 months into pregnancy, but I'd rather clip out a zygote than have a 16 year old girl either a) Drop out of school to care for the baby b) Commit suicide from the stress of the above c) Go through the trauma of putting up her first baby for adoption d) Die because she's under-developed and not ready for labour.
And then there's the case when a baby's born, or is expected to be born with a terminal disease, living an insufferable life until they die around the age of five. I'd prefer abortion/euthanasia to that.

I'm pro-choice. Red Rebel pretty much summed up what I was going to say.

I am pro choice but only because of what I have seen in my life. I believe you're here because you are supposed to be and I would rather a child not be here than be here and not be loved. I've seen so many neglected kids being used as weapons against each parent. Waiting for their mother/father to come get them only to be picked up 5 or 6 hours later. Or just being thrown away all together seeing that broke my heart...

I'm Anti-this thread. This is your first guild, so you may not know this, but such threads can destroy an entire guild. I've seen it happen. People, especially, pro-life people, can go crazy when others won't agree with them. Seriously, no one can chillax when we're talking about abortion.

Well, lets just hope that people can be adult about this then. I personally am pro-choice. I on't think you should use abortion as a form of birth control, but if the child was conceived by a crime (like rape or such) or if the mother could die if the child is born, then the mother should have a choice to have or not to have the child.

I'm pro-life. If you can't kill the child after it is born, why before? People deserve life. If the mother was raped, I can see why she would want to give up the child for adoption, but I don't see that as a reason to kill the child. If it was an irresponsible night that resulted in pregnancy, I don't see that as a reason to kill the child. It may be inconvenient, but the child did nothing wrong, so why punish it for the crimes of it's parent(s).
If the life of the mother or child is in danger, I'm a little less black and white about it, but still pro-life. Do you kill a person who might die, or who might develop a terrible disease? No, you try to help them. Or at least I would.
On a side-note, I am neither religious or conservative, though some might assume so.
These are just my thoughts on the issue, and I do not intend to upset or offend anyone.

For those of you- guys specifically- who use 16-year-old girls as examples, it's not about pro-life or pro-choice. I mainly adress other guys because you shouldn't be getting a 16-year-old pregnant anyway! If you do, you've helped start a life. As soon as it's concieved, it's life- not just in a Christian sense. By the mere scientific definition of life, a fertilized egg is alive. And if you help fertilize that egg, and it does get aborted, there are three people responsible- the abortionist and the would-be parents. Each one of them is therefore responsible for a death.

His entire life he's been in a wheelchair- 34 years so far. His skull did not properly form, and he suffers from chronic headaches. But I've asked him if he'd rather have not been born. His response? The beauty of this world more than makes up for the pain, the deformity. He personally states he can't forgive someone for ending a life before it starts, even if that life had the posibility to be like his.

Who can judge whether a person will be happy with their life, anyway? People who seem to have it worst are often the most wonderful and positive people in the world.

Pro-life. If the mother is depressed because she gave up for adoption, or is under too much stress from caring for the child, she shouldn't have spread her legs. Adoption is a fine option for anyone who doesn't want/can't take care of the child. If a girl is raped, adoption is the only route besides taking the kid yourself. ONLY if the mother's life is in danger(or in the case of rape, serious injury to the mother) do I waver, and then frankly I don't know, it rather depends on the situation. Even if the child is going to have some kind of disability it deserves the right to live.

People, especially, pro-life people, can go crazy when others won't agree with them. Seriously, no one can chillax when we're talking about abortion. I believe that my guild members can control their statements. I am officially pro-life, and I'm not going wacko on these people. It's their beliefs, I am just here to see what they say. As I stated, if this topic gets out of hand, I will delete it. Another reason why I'm pro-life: If the teenager didn't want the baby, why [get drunk and] have sex? It may seem cool and all, but think of how embarrassing it would be to be carrying around a baby all through school.
