That boys are going extinct? Yep! The Y chromosome gets smaller and smaller with every generation by miniscule amounts. Crazy madness, right? We've got a couple hundred, more likely thousands, of years to go until it becomes a prominent issue, but just keep that in mind.

Edit: Factor up your timeline by about 10,000 dearie. The scientific hypothesis on this suggests that 4.6 genes are lost from the Y chromosome every million years, not every generation. The hypothesis also predicts that it will take 10 million more years before the Y chromosome becomes invalid. It's also just a hypothesis, and it has holes large enough to drive a semi-truck through. First and foremost, careful mapping of the Y chromosome between humans and chimps has revealed that no genes have been lost from it since the two species diverged 6 million years ago. According to the hypothesis, the human Y-chromosome and chimpanzee Y-chromosome should differ by a statistically significant degree by now, but they do not. The hypothesis also fails to account for the lack of gene loss in species much older than humans, which by this model should have gone extinct by now.Accurate info by TammiGirl :]

That everyone starts out as a woman? True facts! This would be why dudes have nipples. They have them until the Y chromosome forms, so before the change that makes them male. Explains a lot, huh?

That there's species of ALL-FEMALE lizards?
These lizards don't need males to reproduce; they're just that awesome. They simulate the act of sex in order to get the reproduction system in motion, and then let nature take it's course. No dude needed. Neat, huh?

Male Calicos are rare? It's like, the calico color is determined by the X chromosome. So females have XX and males XY, remember?Well, the Y chromosome doesn't decide any color so there's no chance that they can have the orange.

I got one for ya. Did you know that some offspring can drop (or gain) the Y chromosome up to about three months after they are born, and sometimes around puberty? It's true, but very rare. And if that does happen, the child, a baby, would grow up being trans-gender (or vise-verse), and if it happens when during puberty, the kid would of been trans-gender in the first place.

I was a major cat-nerd when I was little.

I was a super cat-nerd too when I was a kid. When I was in elementary school I wanted to be a scientist that specialized in only cats. smile But yes I have heard that.

Also, I remember learning the 'everyone starts out a girl' thing in bio class. I do believe that the females spent the rest of the class taunting the boys.

Wow! My hobby is writing short stories, and I'm hoping to publish them all soon. I was thinking about doing the art for the cover but I have no idea what to do yet.
