buy a second hand recumbent bike from craigslist for 100 bucks. start riding normal speed to warm up then go ALL OUT for 30 seconds as fast as you can then continue riding normally until you're ready to do it again and go ALL OUT for 30 seconds as fast as you can then continue riding normally and repeat these 30second bursts 8 times total.

I've never tried it, but I'd have to disagree. I believe the best way to exercise is to lap swim (which is swimming from one side of the pool, doing a flip turn, the swimming back, another flip turn etc.). Swimming requires the use of almost all of the muscles when smimming all the strokes, which are breast, back, butterfly, and free (and side stroke for fun).
However, if it is to gain strength, then the best way is to do the generic exercises such as sit-ups, pull-ups, push-ups, jumping jacks, etc. However, you must do these using the correct form, or else they are worthless.

The best way to exercise is to pick up DAT IRON. BODY BUILD OR CROSS FIT. ONE OF THOSE.
And take some boxing/kickboxing/krav maga while you're at it. If you're gonna be revolutionaries you should at least know how to defend yourself in absence of a firearm.

I, personally, am not fat. at all. sadly. lol I need to stay away from aerobic exercise and focus more on reps/strength/core/balance. (and increasing food intake!) yoga, and good ol' sit ups and pushups... I don't do it nearly enough though.. How do you guys find inspiration? I wish I had someone to work out with! and to compete with... or to be determined and disciplined like suzanna. (she's amazing. btw.) http://www.bodyrock.tv/oh suzanna, i adore you <3 O_O;;; anyway O_O; i digress.. what were we talking about again? ><

I've been watching her vids on and off for I think almost 2 years? She's so amazing! but yeah - I agree- a little too defined for me. everyone who hasn't seen her, should do so. biggrin She has awesome discipline and endurance.. and challenges herself by recording her 'bests'...

I stopped reading at--
>should not take in carbs ~two hours after workout.
No thanks. Nearly every single other article I've read has provided WAY more benefits to having carbs post-workout, than the single benefit of "More HGH!" that this guy is prescribing. More HGH isn't worth it when you're not giving your body any nutrients, which are essential post-workout.
Also, he's basically describing HIIT, except with his weird pseudo-science tagged on (I call it pseudo-science because he has NO sources or studies referenced).
If you want to get a real cardio training regimen, look up HIIT or Tabata protocol training for cardio.
If you want to learn how to get strong, you get a gym membership and push iron. Or you grow a beard, chop down trees, and wrestle bears. Whatever.
In the end, almost any sort of exercise is hugely beneficial for you. The increase in HGH is pretty small, I wager (since I looked up something similar when it was proposed that doing very heavy deadlifts or squats had a similar effect) - not large enough to be the driving reason behind why exercise is healthy for you as you get older. I mean, you likely make more HGH when you sleep, which is the optimal period of HGH production. It's much more healthy for cardiovascular reasons.
tl;dr I don't agree with the conclusion that carbs should be restricted post-workout. He's describing HIIT, and just gives it a fancy name; he didn't "invent" anything. If you want good cardio workouts, look up HIIT or Tabata. If you want to look how to get stronger, lift weights.
