It might just be me, but instead of having the "prize" up to whoever is hosting the meet-up, I think it would be more interesting to just have a set "prize" for whatever contest is being held by whatever person. The host might choose what category the contest is, but the prize for that category could be the same. At least it would make this a bit easier on the host.
For example, maybe for all contests there's a certificate, but the wording could simply change for the category (the certificate template could be available to all hosts so they could print if off themselves). "Congratulations, you are the winner of the {category name} contest!" Something kind of like that. They could be signed by the name of the host (Gaia username most likely), and have a space for the recipient to write in their Gaia username, too.
And hey, they'd be collectible. razz
Gold or item rewards on Gaia could always differ. Or there could even be a guild pot, so to speak, of a collection of gold and/or items that could be used for contests. A certain amount of gold could be given out (say, 15% or something, just as an example), and as more people donate the pot would grow and that reward would increase. It'd be kind of like a lottery, I guess.
If it's an item, only one item might be given out from the pot, depending on the worth of the item.
But it's just a thought.
I know I would probably have a difficult time figuring out a prize to give if it was me, if prizes depended on the host. I'm not that creative with that kind of stuff. And I know that for a fact I wouldn't be able to give out any art, I can't draw my way out of a wet paper bag.
