http://www.popeater.com/2010/11/03/katy-perry-russell-brand/

Ok, so here in this article she's talking about her newly wed husband, Russel Brand, and then she talks about herself in the pop industry. But when she talks about that she says that Gaga can't do what she does. stressed OK WHAT THE HELL KATY PERRY. WHAT YOU DO IS PUT COLORFUL WIGS ON AND EXTREMELY TIGHT/WEIRD CLOTHING ALL THE TIME AND ARE ALWAYS SHOWING YOUR BOOBS LIKE CRAZY TO GET PEOPLE TO LIKE YOU AND LADY GAGA CAN DO THAT 10 TIMES BETTER. SHE CAN GET A BOOB JOB AND DO WHAT KATY PERRY DOES. THIS MAYBE INACCURATE OR WHATEVER BUT THIS IS MY OPOINION.
Sorry for the anger.... I had a very bad day.....
More info the article.

When do you think Katy Perry's ego will deinflate? If I have to become a popstar myself to pop her damn bubble I will be pleased to do so.

Miss Fiendette... Please tell me you said you were going into the music business? Please help me kill that b***h's giant ego.

I think Katy Perry makes nice music... She's kind of generic but she think she's the s**t.

It's alright, though I think you are misunderstanding Katy's statement:

Quote:
"We're all unique. That's why we all win and we all can exist. People don't want just vanilla. They want 31 flavors. I couldn't do what Rihanna does. I couldn't do what Gaga does. They can't do what I do."

She's basically saying that they aren't all the same, they all have their own uniqueness, their own 'flavor' that they can't copy from each other. I think she meant it as a compliment really. Hopefully this is an indication of her ego being deflated from the Sesame Street incident. Though she still owes GaGa an apology.

I don't think it was meant to be a direct attack at Gaga (or Rihanna!) She was just saying that each artist is special in their own way, and they all have different characteristics that make the public admire or appreciate them. Katy definitely can't perform and influence people that way Gaga can, but Gaga certainly doesn't entertain the way Katy does.

This is a neutral post! I hope I didn't come off as taking sides or anything (:

No, I got the same message. I think she was trying to compliment them, while at the same time pointing out that, they are not just cheap copies of each other, but actual artists with actual talent of their own.

And lulz on the parasols, I didn't think they'd be this popular. sweatdrop

No no, nothing to apologize for. Your reaction was justified; she allowed her ego to make her into a rude b***h, and she was only really hurting her own image. It will take a while for her to regain acceptance from everyone after the s**t she pulled. But at least it's a start. I still would like to someday hear Katy and GaGa together in a song.

1st of all, i try to like everybody, i DO search for positive sides in people, and i try not to take sides. But i do find myself having problems with some issues and what not, which is understandable because we're humans.

I like Katy. It's just that her music doesnt inspire me (i dont think she even writes them herself in the first place), and her music sounds.... the same (she like gasps and sighs lol). And i get this vibe off of her, saying that she doesnt really "mean" music... i mean, i dont feel her passion for music in her singing....

I think that's the only problem with her, and i dont see it as a problem at all. People are allowed to use music in different manners, and there is nothing (and shouldnt be any) against people singing for a career(money)/fame/fun, and Katy chooses to use music in this way.....
and there is no doubt about her liking music.

no only if she would not bash others, lol biggrin . which she wasnt in this case so its all okiedokie

I apologize too.... It's hard to see the positive things in life or messages when you have a bad day. Anyway, I know this maybe un-gaga related but still, have you guys seen Katy's new music video, Firework? It has a nice message and it's a great video.

I liked it for that reason myself. Too sad though, msot people I guess focused on the beginning when she shoots fireworks from her "boobs"
While in reality, they were suppose to be coming from her "heart' as with the other people in the video. FO course, that is what you get when you shoot frosting from your jugs in the last video.

@Marokia: I can see that. I actually got into Katy back when she was only known on MySpace, and her music had something more to it back then. The sad, sad things that The Fame can do to people....thank GodGa that GaGa never went through that kind of change. She has me by the cold, slimy claws of her Pop-Rock music and sexy fashion body.

Yeah, she's basically saying they all co-exist together in harmony for a bigger purpose. No harm done with this comment.

But if I were to be an immature little girl for just one day I would say .. Gaga wouldn't wanna do what you can do anyway Katy! rofl

Miss Fiendette... Please tell me you said you were going into the music business? Please help me kill that b***h's giant ego.

Frankly I would if I had any actual musical talent outside of writing. Still, I'd be likely to slap her publicly and just tell her "You're not Dita Von Teese, you're not some magical progeny of the music industry. You're a hot skank with no talent and the only reason your songs do well on the charts is all the work producers put into your songs so that they have a chance of sticking it in your a** and never calling you again."

Miss Fiendette's actions aside, it's Katy Perry we're talking about. KATY PERRY. The "nice jugs, not so nice voice" of the music industry. I've said this before and I'll say it again: twenty years from now, she'll be a sad memory. Lady Gaga has only been around since 2008 and she's accomplished far more than Katy ever will. As for her marriage, COME ON. They met at the 2009 MTV VMAs and got engaged three months later. That just screams failure. Let's all put a bet pool together and see how long she and Russell last. I say a year.

Well, there was one major thing I noticed in the music video of Firework.

The homosexual male close to the beginning/middle, had Fame tattooed across his collarbone. It was also done in the font that the fame was written in. Does that mean something to anyone? I could see more text before and maybe after it, but that could've been The and Monster.

OMY GOSH MAROKIA I was saw that too. I was going to post that but I then thought of it again because well maybe it was just coincedental or that all of Lady Gaga's little monsters are homosexuals *For the record, I am not.* and it might of been an insult, but because at least half of her monsters are, I just thought of it as ok. But now that someone else noticed it too, I think she's trying to say something.....
