Alright. So this term, or label has crossed my mind and eyes several times. It's always intrigued me because I've always had a connection to what Christian Witches (not Wiccan) are-even though it's "new age" Here's why:
(As a) Christian: • there is one God in three personas: the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit. • Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. • a personal relationship with God. • The bible as an inspired source for spiritual wisdom (not a storybook).
I'm a non-denominational Christian meaning I do not belong to any specific branch of Christianity i.e Baptist, Unitarian, Lutheran, Catholic, Pentecostal, Amish, and so on. What I stated above in list-form is my belief.
(As a questioning) Witch: • have a very very deep connection to nature. • respects all life and taking care of the earth and helping people. • believes in and uses ritual and magic to bring about necessity of change and help in life.
What are your views?

I could say you could be both. Then again who necessarily says you have to believe in a certain thing or a certain way.
I myself only follow the Tao as a true religion. The Tao has inserts that can be put to everyday life. Christianity has the Bible which does the same thing, but to me it just seems real pushy most of the time. If you want to pursue your life as witch then do so, and don't let your other religious morals go.
I gave up on the Christian religion many years ago, and I don't feel one bit ashamed for doing it. I do however believe in the moral concept of good and evil, which can be found in other religions besides Christianity.
Did you know that Christianity has stolen some of the pagan symbols and backgrounds. One of thefamous ones is the so called "Cross" that Jesus Christ was sacraficed on. The cross in traditional pagan views was the symbol for faith and transition. This symbol was stolen by the Romans from the Celtics as a way for Romans to punish criminals. Then later Jesus was killed on one...so it became the Christians symbol. Another one of these symbols is also the trinity which was another Celtic symbol stolen by the Christians. To the Christians this represented the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. To the Celtics this represented many things. One of these was the three worlds known to them as Other World, Mortal World, and Celestial World.
So with all these things that Christians stolen from pagan religions makes you wonder if one could be a Christian Witch. I say yes you can! Pagans and Wiccans need to let the world know that Christianity stole their symbols and soul!

The 5 pointed star at one point represented the 5 wounds of jesus.
But on a side note I've heard of many christian witches, they even have books you can buy from books stores all about it and ways to mix both magic with christianity. I've heard the books has different ideas for rituals as well.

I say good on yah. I wouldnt call myself a christian witch, per se, but the points you have, in terms of your belief of what people call "christianity" i also believe, as well as some of the things you do in terms of being a witch [ i always felt a bit closer to be in a wiccan then a witch ]. I know I personally dont follow the bible, simply because of to many loopholes, and because the ones who wrote it were, in some way or another, a bit prejudiced to someone or some race of some kind. Mind you, I dont blame them, but the bible is more like a guidline of rules to basically follow to me. My very first wiccan friend taught me this back in 9th grade, and I took his words to heart. I miss him so, my old friend... But thanks to him starting the fire, I was able to seek out what I want, and to this day, I am still seeking. So yea, such things as that have got to exist. I call people like that "true followers" and as such, feel it could possibly be the closest thing to the "true religion" then any other Ive ever seen

Thank you for your expressions and views.
Yes, I know very well that the cross, the star (not inverted) and several other 'Christian' symbols were once Pagan of Celtic, Druid, and Gaelic origin.
I'm not questioning my faith, but I was just a little curious to the magical part of my life since I've literally been born into (Thanks Mom/Dad/Grandma/Grandma and my other Mum). heart
It's just been on my mind because this Samhain, my witch mother is going to do a blessing ritual to the Star goddess (she must be nice..) and I was just a little uneasy since I'm going to be doing this with her, (because I'm her faery child..) but I'm not too cozy with worshiping/ idolizing/ ritualizing any other god/goddesses but one God. (I think she assumed I was a neo-eccletic pagan or somethin')
Any hoo.
Since I'm already a little faery type being... I don't have to necessarily label myself anything else, but Christian Witch will suffice, cause the Faery ordeal might not gel with folks wink
Yay heart

`Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,' I said, `art sure no craven. Ghastly grim and ancient raven wandering from the nightly shore - I was in an argument last night with two Christians that claimed that the Bible was condemned in the Bible. And that witchcraft is possible with Christianity. They thought that it was evil, etc. I told them that sorcery and divination are looked down upon, however both are vastly different than witchcraft. One of them tried to tell me that divination is witchcraft. While some witches do use divination, not all witches use divination. Some pagans use divination like Tarot cards, however they don't practice witchcraft.
I've always felt that witchcraft is compatible with Christianity due to practices as Santeria and even Voodou itself. There is a certain mysticism within Christianity, especially as Fareru pointed out, the pentacle was once used to describe the 5 wounds of Christ. So it is possible :3
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night's Plutonian shore!' Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.'

I've had those same conversations with people.. which is why I don't discuss it because close-minded disrespect other and their beliefs, tis too much for my cup of tea. I digress, it's not their business to know- but they ask me, and I tell, then they stop, then YELL- "EVIL" wahmbulance
"I yam who I yam"- Popeye, the sailor.
Yes, divination is not very accepted, but not everyone works with it.
The Bible has been changed around just as much as the English language has.. tisk.
But, I digress. I'm confident, or at least becoming confident 3nodding

Pardon me for popping in. I'm "sort of" new here. I think there are elements of witchcraft you can mix in with christian faith. I'm not really an expert at religion or anything, but trying to work from the assumption of my old faith, they used to say god is in the rocks and the trees and all that right? I am pretty sure there are some sects of Christianity that openly practice magic, I could be wrong. It may not be kosher with every specific christian tradition, but christian is a wide umbrella term for anyone who follows the teachings of christ. I don't really see what's wrong with divination specifically either. Just include ethics in magic that coincide with the teachings of Jesus. That's my take on it, I know a few christian witches actually. I don't think magic violates agape or is wrong in any way unless you use it as such. Sorry if this post is too wordy, I'm in a lot of religious guilds too, it's becoming more and more centric in my life. What ever you decide I hope it makes you happy heart

I agree with Adalyna. The term Christian is so loose, its ridiculous. As long as you follow the same core principle in every [ and yes, I mean EVERY ] religion [ save for a few, like satanism ] then youre good to go. Do good to others, lead a nice life where your actions dont cause destruction to others, and just try to be happy. Thats all it takes.

It's nice to see others out there that have similar beliefs. I hope to one day meet someone IRL that believes similar things that I do but it's just nice to know there are others out there.
