http://www.engadget.com/2005/12/11/segas-re-releasing-the-dreamcast-in-japan/ WHAT?!? A new Sega Dreamcast?!? Awesome! But does it have any upgrades? I ain't gettin' no new Dreamcast just 'cuz of a blue swirl, even if it IS cheap! Actually, I might then, too. eek If it is upgraded, there's NO WAY I'm missing out on it. However, it might be a false rumor. And anyway, Sega Dreamcast STILL doesn't need to be upgraded much. That thing was insanely the best thing EVER in 1999. rofl It's still quite good now, what with the great graphics that can actually sometimes compare with the Xbox 360, and the VMU was the awesome shiznit. But, we all know that Xbox and Xbox 360s are just a rip-off of Dreamcast. When this Dreamcast comes out, people will think the opposite. rolleyes Dumbasses. But, it might just be a false rumor... Probably not, though, I mean, it's in a fair amount of places...

I think I've already heard of this one. Although Sega has gone out of the console business, that wouldn't prevent a re-release of the DC.
There has already been a recent promotion where new DC controllers were given out with a certain product. Can't remember the details, it may have been up to a year ago.

Ehh. I might get it. It has to have at least a few upgrades on it for me to REALLY want to buy it. But we don't know if it has any or not. Even without upgrades, I MIGHT get this new DC anyway. I mean, come on, the graphics were equivalent to the Gamecube's. And the DC was made in 1999!! Gamecube, 2001. So, Sega consoles freaking PWN the Nintendo consoles. domokun
All shall be revealed on February 16th...or sooner. 3nodding

chris3000 my famly is freaking poar! I doubt it will be too expensive. Probably somewhere around $150. Hopefully.
Then again, if it has upgrades, it could be pretty damn expensive. $250, $300 even...because it's a new Sega system. And we all thought Sega wouldn't be making anymore. So, I'd expect the prices to be high for an upgraded DC.

But even if it had upgrades, your parents still wouldn't let you get it?

They might add DVD playing support or something as an extra feature, but when you get right down to it, it's going to be playing the same games. There's no point in upgrading the system to do the exact same thing it did before.

I think its gonnna have better graphics, more uses for the UMV, and more CHAO! They will probably make newer games for it and re-release old dreamcast games with better graphics.

There's no point in upgrading the system to do the exact same thing it did before. A DVD playing feature would be very nice. They could make, like, special Sega DVDs or something for the DC. xd
