 Life is a string of experiences. Some will leave you wanting, and then others will leave you gasping for breath from excitement. Some of these moments happen spontaneously, but sometimes the moment needs a little push. And when you are younger, you just might have to go out and find that thrill. It may be sky diving, driving drunk, a hot night in the backseat with a boy, stealing a car, or maybe just letting go and allowing your true self to shine through. For some people, though, that thrill is found a completely different way. Meet the Life and Death Brigade, established in New York by children from the wealthiest families in the country. The solitary purpose of the group is to have as much unauthorized, dangerous, and eccentric fun as possible before being tied to the responsibilities of adulthood.. It was created in 1836 by a group of renegade privileged children, and has been continued to the present generation where the stunts and parties have become increasingly dangerous and crazy.
Each member is allowed five years membership before leaving to make way for new blood. The encore stunt of the year, the final stunt that the Life and Death Brigade plans, is a combination graduation and induction into the exclusive club. The six members leaving the brigade would host the future six brigade members on their first stunt. This year, the plan was to fly a plane to the Bahama's where one of the member's parents owns an island. They would parachute off the plane onto the island where champagne, servants, eccentric games, catered meals, and any other comfort you could think of would be prepared and waiting for them until a yacht came after a week to bring them all safely back home. It was a tradition that had been carried on for generations. Everything was planed to the "t" and perfectly thought out...
...Except the storm. Except the unpredictable winds. No one foresaw the storm that struck the small plane carrying the pilot and the twelve people. As the ship rocked toward the churning black ocean, everyone prayed for a miracle. The fall seemed to last forever until finally they impacted with the surface of the water, a great splash jarring them backward. The abyss of the ocean was dark and terrifying as the twelve people swam to shore and watched the plane sink into the ocean behind them. No sound on the beach... no lights through the trees... only this was certain, a credit card wasn't going to solve this problem. Twelve college kids stranded in the middle of the tropics, no way of communication, no way off... the only option is sticking together and trying to survive. The Life and Death Brigade had always been about living your life... now, apparently, they were experiencing the darker side.
What will happen when the old and the new are forced to mingle? Will romance spark? Rivalry? Friendship? What will happen when the rich and fabulous have to merely do what they can just to survive? Lets find out... 【 Table of Contents 】

 ✗ This roleplay follows Gaia's ToS, so you should too.
✗ This is a literate to advanced literate roleplay. This means I expect each post you make to be at least two or three good sized paragraphs.
✗ There will be no posting in the IC thread until your reservation AND profile have been accepted. When you send your reservation, title it "falling stars". When you send your profile, title it "churning waters", and put a smiley somewhere in it so double check you read the rules completely. You can have two characters. I may add the option for more people later.
✗ Romance is, of course, encouraged in this plot, but cybering in expressly forbidden! Don't even take it to the PM's, but if you must, just time skip. Don't scare away the kiddies.
✗ Cursing and profanity is allowed, as long as it isn't over done. Violence and fighting is encouraged, but nothing overly gory and no killing.
✗ I am the moderator of this thread, and it is my prerogative and right to ban anyone I wish from the roleplay. You will be given two warning before you are banned.
✗ This roleplay will be demanding upon you creatively, I hope, but as long as you post two or three times a week I will be happy. If it is, however, too demanding upon your time, please PM me and let me know before you leave or have an extended leave of absence and we will take care of your character. I want this to be laid back and fun for everyone
✗ Keep it real. That means to Anime pictures, no perfect characters, and remember the setting. Please use pictures of real people, not celebrities or anyone recognizable. Make sure your character has flaws. Not everyone can like them and get along. Make a few enemies. Remember, you are stranded on an island. Be creative, but be somewhat realistic about the resources.

This role play consists on twelve characters: six recruits and six members. Each person represents a different zodiac. Please keep your character's birthday under the correct dates, and please stay true to the characteristics of the astrological sign they were born under. MEMBERS  Taurus – MaleApril 20 - May 20 taken // reserved // open♉ He has immense perseverance, even when others have given up, he rages on. Solid and persistent, just like the bull, which is his well suited symbol. He has a well known reputation for being stubborn, which is not necessarily a bad thing. The stubborn streak can cause him to butt heads and conflict with others. He is not fond of change. He likes the familiar and routine comfort of life. He is easy going and not one to pick a fight but should some poor souls attempt to provoke him, the wrath will be known, for he has a temper underneath the calm surface.  Cancer – MaleJune 21 - July 22 taken // reserved // open♋ He has the perseverance and drive to do what needs to be done, he is self-sufficient and does not need to depend on other people for his material and physical things in life. On the other hand, he depends on people for emotional support and encouragement. He craves attention and comfort from other people and he is happiest when he have a small, close knit group of friends or family.   Leo – FemaleJuly 23 - August 22 taken // reserved // open ♌ She is always center stage and full of flair, she enjoys basking in the spotlight. She always makes her presence known. She is full of energy that acts like a magnet for other people. Others are attracted to her wit, charm, and what they have to say for they speak of things grand and very interesting. She will never settle for second best. She wants only the best which can cause lavish excessive spending habits as she enjoys her life of luxury, which is all to easily justified! Public image is very important to her. She will do whatever it takes to protect their own reputation. She is a very generous, kind and openhearted person. Mighty LEO!!! Hear me RAWR!!!  The crushing, swirling, suffocating blackness surround Kaliona, throwing her petite body around like a rag doll as her lungs screamed at her to breathe. Suddenly she felt her head break the surface, rain stinging her face and thunder still roaring above her. Her instincts allowed her a single breath before a massive wave pushed her back into the churning ocean. I have to get to shore or I'll die! Her mind was reeling with panic, but she forced herself to kick her feet with all the force she had. Fighting the pulling waves and sheer panic that gripped her made the swim through the stormy waters even more difficult, and when her hand slid onto the grainy surface of the beach she sobbed with relief. But as a sudden thought struck her, she jumped to her feet looking frantically around her. There were thirteen people on board that plane before in began to crash. What if she was the only one who made it? She called their names, searched frantically over the surface of the water, ran up and down the beach, but the storm raged on, drowning any reply that might have been made.
She had been a member of the Life and Death Brigade for five wonderful years, and her final stunt was almost literally that. As far as she knew, nothing like this had ever happened in the past. They attempted dangerous feats of bravery and sometimes stupidity, but it always turned out just fine. Only one hope consoled Kali as her dark brown eyes attempted to find a sign of any other survivor in the water or on the beach. Maybe, just maybe, they happened to crash right next an island with civilization. The odds were somewhat slim, but Kali had the last shred of hope to cling to as she continued the search for her friends. Maybe some jumped with the parachutes... she thought as she glanced behind her to the treeline. God only knows what animals live here... or tribes... or whatever. There are still tribes on these islands, right? I mean in all the movies there are always tribes. She shook her head to clear it. One problem at a time. First was to help anyone who might still be out there. If anyone was still out there...OOC: ugh.... seems a little short... sorry lol got a little writers block with it.

Her black v-neck t-shirt and her denim shorts were soaked with the water, and she was starting to feel chilly despite the summer weather. She coughed a bit from the heavy physical exertion of her body in the windy wet weather. She crawled a bit before getting to her feet and look around to see if anyone made it ashore. She still shook, terrified, flashes of her past attacking her mind. She recalled bits and pieces of the time when she had a car crash. It was a stormy day too and she wasn't supposed to be driving, she wasn't of age and had no driver's license. She took the car out for a spin while her parents were out of town and her brother was out partying. She didn't expect the innocent rainy weather to turn into some raging thunderstorm all in half an hour that night. She made a few mistakes and was unsure, ending up crashing against another car. She was thankful the driver and passengers of the other car only got away with minor injuries. It was the same case for her, but it left a deep impact on her mentality.
She tried to shake those thoughts off and concentrated on what to do in the present. She needed to find people, some shelter until things calmed down and then think of a way to get off this island. There was no way they could be stuck here for a long while, that would be impossible. How will they survive? Sure, it sounded like a challenge, a completely unprepared for challenge. She wasn't expecting to be roughing it out on an island that looked like there were no existence of civilization. It wasn't long until she spotted a figure running about on the shoreline. Ellie squinted her eyes to make out who it was, hopefully someone from the brigade. She was glad to recognize the person as one of the female member of the brigade named Kali, or at least that's what they referred to her as. "Kali!" Ellie yelled out to catch her attention while waving her hand in the air and jumping.

Chris wanted more adventure in his life, since he only had a few more years before he would be locked into adulthood and work until he decided to retire. So, as a recruit for the Life and Death Brigade he accompanied the members on their trip to the island. Before the turbulence thrashed the tiny plane around the sky the Pisces had enjoyed flying. His distaste slowly grew until it transformed into hate and fear. This. Was. Not. Funny! The violent gusts stole his breath away as he plummeted into the dark, angry abyss known as the Atlantic Ocean. Air nipped at the brunette's exposed skin, before the cold waves engulfed him completely, dulling every sense he could have possibly had. Emerald orbs slowly took in the the lack of everything, whilst burning viciously from the salt. The pain seemed to snap Chris back to his senses, as panic took over yet again. Snapping his arms out and seemingly pushing water beneath them, his legs kicked, water-filled lungs crying in desperation. He needed air, the spots in his vision could tell him that if his mind forgot. Before his lungs had burst from the lack of water, the twenty year old spat out the salt water as if it were poison, sucking in all the sweet air he could before submerging again. This continued twice more before the six foot two inched man had enough of a mindset to swim under the waves that appeared desperate to drown him. Beneath him he could see the sand coming closer, signaling he was in fact going the right direction. Now able to stand in the swift and violent ocean, Chris stumbled in hopes of keeping balance, trying to fight exhaustion. He needed to be safe away from the strong tide lest he be pulled back in. His drenched skater shoes pounded sloppily on the sand before his legs succumbed to the overwhelming desire to collapse. The man panted heavily in relief, chuckles escaping his hoarse throat. Turning his head's direction, two figures were now in sight, sharing his same condition. Grains of sand smeared his cold, red, salt-irritated skin as he pushed himself up by his elbows and rolled over to his back. Half sitting, his shorts clung to his legs, along with his white shirt, whilst is yellow shirt hung loosely. Sighing, the man forced his aching muscles to work overtime and get up, unsteadily making his way to the two women. "Hey!" His sore throat burned from the shout, but it didn't matter. They were survivors, and he wasn't the greatest in the woods. His strained eyes left the two figures before him, taking in the sight of the storm. It seemed surreal and somewhat enchanting in all honesty.
