Welcome everyone to ❝ O n l y P r e t e n d i n g ❞, a literate role play guild. A bit of an odd name, I know. This guild is for the literate and the advanced literate role players of Gaia. There is a place for every type of role play here and I hope to see many different kinds. Feel free to make as many role plays as you can handle and make threads until the cows come home. Before you start that though, make sure you read the rules and introduce yourself.
To gain access into this guild, there is no secret handshake you need to know. You just have to be able to use your words correctly. Requirements are simple.
→Spell check can be your friend
Mistakes are expected, but there is always time to review your work before submitting it. Everyone should have a basic knowledge of what needs to be capitalized and when a period or a question mark is appropriate. Correct all mistakes to the best of your ability before clicking that lovely "submit" button. Spell check comes in handy too.
→Give us the dirty details
Two paragraphs, at least. It's only eight to ten well thought out sentences. Be descriptive too. Take your time and it will show in your posts.
Please respond in third person when in character. There might be a couple role plays that are done in first person but they have permission to do so. So no permission means third person, past tense, novel form.
→How about asterisks (*)?
No.
You don't see many asterisks or tildes in novels nowadays so there shall be none allowed in any of the role plays. They are allowed in OOC threads and maybe some regular threads, just don't go overboard or you shall be SHOT. Okay, not really but don't crazy with symbols all over the place.
→Follow without fail
You should already know how to follow Gaia's Terms of Service. If not, go review them before you even think of joining. Failure to follow these rules makes crew members cranky. You don't want that, especially when they haven't eaten yet. Rawr!
→Fine, just let me in already!
Joining is pretty simple. The captain, co-captain and her trusted circle will sit at a giant wooden table in dark, flowing robes with candles circling the room and discuss who is worthy enough to join. Not really. We will be searching for people who fit our standards and inquire them to join.
The second way is to request to join and just let us know why you want to join.
→Just spare me, please
If you get an invitation to join, but know you are never going to post, just PM me and I'll put you on a list so I don't send you a request again. If you decide that you want to join again, just send in a request to join stating that you turned down the invite before but would like to join again. Easy as that.
