The Dunes of Light is a very iconic picture of the desert: an endless sea of sand, with little vegetation and life. The heat can soar to unbearable temperatures here, some of the highest in the world outside of an active volcanic area. The heat seems to have an almost magical ability to create amazingly realistic mirages...or is the work of some Pokemon here?
The white sand reflects the bright sun well, making it almost blinding to those who come here, and makes it even harder to tell mirages apart from reality.
Within the heart of this desert lies the Lost Oasis and the Desert Ruins.
