According to the Billboard 200 list released today, Lady Gaga's debut album The Fame has officially spent its 100th consecutive week on the charts, landing this week at #23.
The Grammy-winning album first entered that chart on November 15, 2008. While it may not seem like that long ago, allow Celebuzz to put it into perspective. When The Fame first charted:
-- Proposition 8 was passed outlawing gay marriage on that very same day
-- George W. Bush was still President (and President-elect Barack Obama had just won the election)
-- Britney Spears just won the "Video of the Year" VMA for "Piece of Me."
No album this far into its run has ranked as high since Taylor Swift's self-titled debut album was ranked #21 in its 129th week.
However, the pants-less one still has a long way to go before topping the the all-time list for longest charting albums. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon holds that top honor with 769 weeks on the Billboard 200! Although to be fair, there are no albums in the top 10 all-time list that were created in the last 10 years, so making that list would be quite an amazing feat in the digital age.

Woot! Yay Lady Gaga!!!! WOW. 769 weeks.... eek That's gonna take a while to get past.... lol anyway,
yeah I still listen to it. I was just listening to it actually!!!! I can't wait for Born This Way to come!
