Lilium climbed onto one of the benches framing the large fountain, unclipping the leash from around a large blue puppy's collar.

Repede sniffed around for a moment, before giving out a loud bark. The young dark type then proceeded to run around the gardens, chasing his tail, chasing bug types, and in general playing as a puppy should.

Lilium kept a sharp eye on him the entire time, but allowed herself to relax a bit.

It was nice to finally be free of the Team room. Team Azalea was a demanding lot, and the Cyndaquil simply found it too hard to keep up with them sometimes.

Repede turned at the last second to notice some...blue...blobby thing crash into him. With a yelp he fell down into a tangle of paws and tail, resulting in him on his back staring up curiously at the Phione.

He quickly rolled back onto his feet, stepping forward to stiff at the light blue creature. That's odd, it smelled like...not much. Kinda like water actually. It was a Pokemon made of water?

Confused, the young Poochyena took a step back, ears flat against his head as he began barking at the Phione.

Lilium looked up at the sound, more than a little curious of the odd-looking Pokemon Repede had found, but there didn't seem to be any trouble.

"Quiet down Repede!" She scolded him, but remained relaxed on the bench.

Repede's barking died down to a curious whine when the Phione darted behind another weird Pokemon. It was long and slender, and for some reason didn't seem to have any legs. He stepped forward, sniffing at Ethfael. It smelled kind of like...Sherman? Not quite, but kind of similar...

He looked up when the blue blobby Pokemon that smelled like water came up and spoke two words. The first one was foreign, one he did not recognize. But the second one, the second one he knew.

His tail began to wag back and worth in a blur and he opened his mouth to drop the stick he always seemed to be chewing on. He sat down, looking up at the Phione expectantly. Repede's definition of "play" is "fetch". He tensed up, ready to go after the stick the moment it gets thrown.

With a happy bark Repede got to his feet in an instant and turned, running after the stick. He pounced at the bushes, crashing into it. After a few seconds of struggling he popped back out, the stick happily between his teeth. He trotted back to the Pokemon that smelled like water, dropping it once more. His tail was a blur, and he looked very proud of himself

Lilium watched this with a smile, wincing inwardly at the bush that was now a mess. Hopefully the gardeners wouldn't mind terribly...

She turned to the Dratini, who seemed to be in charge of the odd young Pokemon.

"Good afternoon." She greeted him.

Lilium nodded in agreement. Ah kids, it was always relaxing to see their carefree play. With so much going on around the guilds right now, sometimes it was hard to just stop and enjoy yourself. Not for the young though, they didn't need to worry about Nico or Darkrai or everything else that seemed to be attacking, well, everything.

"Phione you say? I've never seen one before." She commented, watching the water type picking up the stick and twirling around with it. "Very cute th- No Repede!"

As the stick came down into the fountain, the puppy went ballistic going after it, charging straight at Lilium, leaping up onto the bench. With a startled scream the Cyndaquil disappeared with a loud crack! as the Poochyena bowled through where she was only moments ago to crash into the fountain. He came back out moments later, dripping wet, the stick between his teeth. His tail was wagging close to the speed of light and his tongue rolled out of the side of his mouth happily.

Lilium had reappeared on top of the statue of Orion the Espeon, clinging to its ears.

"Bad Repede! You know you need to be careful with water around me!" The fire type scolded, her back blazing with flames.

Repede simply hopped out of the fountain, shook himself dry, and then trotted over to the nearest Pokemon- Ethfael. He dropped the stick again, staring at the Dratini expectantly.

Repede cocked his head when Ethfael blocked Phione, tripping the small water type. The puppy's mood seemed to change instantly, flattening his ears against his head. He barked once at the Dratini, only to have his attention taken the moment-

Oooohhh, stick, stick!

Seemingly having forgotten everything the Poochyena ran after the stick as the Phione picked it up and threw it.

With another crack! Lilium reappeared down on the ground, near Ethfael. She smoothed out her frayed fur with both hands, shaking her head.

"No, no, it's quite alright. I was...taken by surprise." She explained. "They are...young, I should have been more careful. I have not looked after such a young Pokemon in a while."

Raising Atra had been a veritable nightmare though. He had been an extremely...difficult Eevee.

"So how did you come across your little one?" Lilium asked in order to start a conversation. The Dratini was young, and Phiones were children of a Legendary. She believes that she has good reason to assume that he was not the father.

Lilium settled down onto all fours, her back now calm and devoid of flames. Lilium was not a fighter; the fire was only an instinctive reflex.

"I see. That must be interesting. It's good to know there is a Legendary on our side. I heard that Manaphy helped the guild out of a rather...chaotic situation a few months ago." Chaotic doesn't even begin to describe that Heart Swap. Lilium had been fortunate enough to be spared of the accident, but she remembered it rather clearly. Master Pluto had been swapped with a member of Team Azalea, and it had been odd to say the least to hear the mature old Leafeon's voice coming from the body of a young child.

"I'm afraid we don't know who Repede's parents are. The Guild found his egg on the boundary land with a letter. All it had was his name and the message to keep him safe. I've actually been trying to find some adoptive parents for him." She explained. "I really don't think the Guild is a place for children, though Pokemon these days seem to think it's a place to dump unwanted eggs. People don't seem to realize how dangerous Rescue work is."

Lilium sighed. She hasn't had any success on her quest. There was a reason people gave the Guild so many eggs; they didn't want to take care of them. If it was that easy to find adoptive parents, then the Guild wouldn't have this problem in the first place.

Repede perked up at the sound of his name, his ears twitching to pinpoint where it came from. With a bark he pounced onto the stick as if it was prey, shaking it vigorously back and forth before turning and proudly marching around the flowers and gardens until Phione was finally in sight.

He was up against Phione soon, dropping his stick and licking at his new friend in true puppy-love fashion.
