step number one: find a way to get your hands o some gaia cash and buy the GOOD items, im talking the big money, and sell it on the marketplace, most people cant get gaia cash, so they are forced to pay the ridiculous market prices
step number 2: play a lot of zOMG! you can get realy good gold for that
step number three:dont give in to the temptation to buy things that catch your eye
