Or, NaNoWriMo for short. Observe: NaNoWriMo
In the words of the website, NaNoWriMo is "a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to novel writing. Participants begin writing November 1. The goal is to write a 175-page (50,000-word) novel by midnight, November 30."
Could you do that? Could you manage to write a 50,000 word novel in a month?
Would you TRY? (You probably should!)
I've never even attempted anything on this scale, but I'm going to try this year. Who else is going to join in?
Now, the official NaNoWriMo doesn't really have a prize. I do, however. If anyone from this guild not only participates this year, but also makes it to the 50k mark - I will award you 50k gold.
I DARE you.
To participate: 1. Sign up on the NaNoWriMo site 2. Add me as a "Writing Buddy". 3. Wait for November. 4. Accept prize gold in December (if you win).

I've done it two years in a row now & finished each year (: I'm nervous again, though. I always worry I won't finish. But, I'll definitely try again this year!

If you finish, you get 50k.
And I figure multiple people will finish, so I really need to start raising money.

Totally. And if you check out the thread I just posted in Story Concepts... yeah, that's the world I intend to write about. I figure with the material I have OUTLINED, it should be enough to at least get a few thousand words in...

I have been steadily browsing around. Haven't gotten that far yet though... I always come up with characters before I come up with a plot. However, I happen to have the first, like, 7 chapters outlines haha I have also be steadily writing poetry again haha Am I correct to assume that if I asked for honest reviews and critiques I could get them? confused

I'm so doing it this year. It will be my first time, because every previous year I hear about like halfway through November, and by then it's too late for me to write a novel. xD
