Personality: Akane is a quiet man, and keeps to himself mostly. He likes to read books. If not found reading under a tree, maybe he can be seen walking around the barracks and other places. He keeps a smile on his face, even in rough times. He laughs at the little things, and holds every day as something special. He can be philosophical, but seems to recite it to himself while mostly reading books about Aristotle and other ancient philosophers. Even when he is worried, he will not show it. His emotions are hidden inside of him. He tends to sit beneath trees a lot, or lay on roofs, where he hopes no one will try to find or disturb him. He can sigh quite a lot, but different sighs for different occasions or reasons
Bio:
As he sat around under the trees near the Rukongai, he never saw himself being under authority. He would pick up his books, sit under the most shaded tree, and read 'til he fell asleep; eating snacks he brought with him. One day he decided he couldn't do this for the rest of his life, and his swordsmanship needed an use; besides that of street fighting. He excelled in combat exercises, but found himself with low expectations in Kidō classes in the beginning, but learned a little more. As he mingled with the others, he had a lot of close friends.
He keeps himself at a distance with people now-a-days. He wears a smile most of the time, as to tell if it's fake at certain times is fairly difficult. He secludes himself from most people by training nearly all the time with Hand-to-Hand combat, and with his blade. When he's with his blade, he knows he's not alone, even if he was in the middle of a desert.
His blade, Riku, is true to the meaning of his name. Akane has lived off the land at one time, and his blade is a symphathetic, but strong one. Riku and Akane explore philosophy and the fine arts. Akane likes to sketch, so one could find him doing that, as well. Akane has yet to recieve a squad, but has been put on missions to show what best suits him. One may also realize that he wears a pair of glasses. He has a secret about his glasses, and why he doesn't do paperwork without another squad member there.
Bio Now:
Akane, after training with Suzume Yuuki for many years, and going in to the academy to join the Third Division together, has finally had to say goodbye to the only person he has loved since death. After her death, he decided that the only way to be able to better protect those around him would be to become more powerful. He then began his trek with Riku to unleash every aspect of this Bankai. He has requested that Tetsunosuke help in this, so that he may reach the goal of Seventh Division Captain. The secret about his glasses has since leaked to some Captains, and is possibly known by many others.

Shikai:
- Release Command: Riku Ryuu, Sundan Zenchi. (Land Dragon, Tear to Pieces All Land)
Physical Changes: The released state of blade changes it from the antique and dull-looking blade to a jade colored sword that is quite extravagant. Due to the blade's earthly connection, Akane does seems to take a blunt blow a lot easier, and is a little more susceptible to slashes and stabs. With the connection to sound, the blade lets him hear at a 5% increase, and with sound and earth, he may feel the foot steps through his own, as if he were an elephant.
Shikai Special Ability: The Shikai state allows Akane to manipulate Earth and Sound to attack or put the enemy off-guard.
- Shikai Abilities
- Kiretsu (Fissure)
The Kiretsu attack is both a defensive and offensive ability. It allows for the ground to separate and spikes of rock to rise. This attack can be devastating to small structures, and can cause great damage to larger ones. Spikes that are created from rock can continue to grow within the maximum radius, and will be able to sprout from one another. This ability seems to lose effectiveness after 300 feet, and must be activated by the calling of the ability.
Noizuresu Nami (Noiseless Wave)
In this attack, the Earth does a loud grumble that slowly rises, and anyone within audible distance will lose hearing temporarily once it seems like some huge creature is about to spring up from underneath the ground. The Earth begins to quake, and from behind the target (or targets), a wave of earth then drops upon the opponent. As the wave of rock and dirt rises, it's easily able to be seen if one is to turn around. The size of the attack is large, but its abilities are best used on slow targets, or targets stupid enough to just stand there. Once the wave has smashed down, all those who lost hearing can hear once more. The ability is activated by calling its name, and can only be used once every three post.
Koppamijin (Break in to Small Fragments)
Akane draws symbol in to ground with the blade. This attack is used to end it in the shikai state, or to persuade the other to leave. The earth around Akane seems to come alive, and moves towards the opponent. The earth then tries to imprison the target within a ball of regenerating rock and dirt. The ball will then harden, and more earth collects to the ball, which will then peirce in to the ball with ten spikes that will produce a set of spikes down themselves that is double of themselves. This attack is dodgable, but also cannot leave the AoE (Area of Effect / the 300 foot radius mark), which gives the opponent some room for long-range attacks.

Bankai
- Extended Name: Riku Ryuu, Unari Tonaeru Arechi (Land Dragon, Bellow to Call Upon Devastated Land)
Physical Changes: The sword changes once more to now a more natural looking sword. The blade though seems to release a dark olive mist with not using an ability, but glows with using an ability. This blade seems to make Akane more durable to blunt and slash/stab attacks, and footsteps are more easily distinguishable from further away.
Bankai Special Ability: Greater command over Earth and Sound, giving him some ability to be able to feel soundwaves through the ground when a person is walking across them.

- Ayatsuri (Manipulation)
Ayatsuri gives Akane full control of how the earth moves, and what the earth within the allowable radius can do. Not much more than that to tell about it. The normal creations are spikes and walls. This ability is actually given when spoken, and does not go until the sealing of Riku.
Hyakushutsu (Arise in Great Numbers)
Upon the activation, spikes will erupt from the ground towards the target. The direction of which the spikes erupt must be directed by a slash of the blade. The spikes will grow about thirty feet before they collapse or stop growing. This ability can go from one to four slashes, and does not need to be spoken more than once for those slashes, unless Akane has used the ability and is using it again.
Noizuresu Gaiku (Noiseless Block of Land)
The land in the certain radius drops down 350 feet, and then a ceiling is made above with a small amount of two foot holes to let in what light can reach down. As little light can be given, one must rely on instinct, the detection of spiritual energy, or that of hearing. Akane has developed himself to hear not only with his ears, but with his feet and the spiritual pressure of himself and the opponent. Although not always able to perfectly dodge an attack with his skills, he is able to know when a strike is coming. Radius can be 100 yards to 200; 350 feet is set height for ceiling, no lower/higher. Difficulty of ones vision in low-light can help some, but will not harm Akane, as he is already blind.
Chi Ken Tsukinukeru, Finaru (Thousand Blades to Pierce Through, Finale)
Akane makes a fist, and then puts his other hand to cover it, with the thumbs crossing over one another. The move is then spoken, and the ground seems to erupt in a noise that could echo that of a diesel-engine train up close. The ground then erupts in diamond spikes that will pierces through the opponent, or try to. There are indeed one thousand of these blades, but most of them grow off from another spike, leading to very small spines or possibly nodachi-sized blades of diamond-like material that have grown from a 2ft - W x 9ft - L blade of the same. The blades come out at a high frequency, and not just in the means of numbers, but will radiate in noise which causes the blades to almost move at a speed unseen less watched closely. This allows the blades to have a better piercing action, and more easily allows it to pierce armors. One must be careful of these blades, as once they enter the body, that does mean it will not continue growing smaller spines. Diamond-like blades have same strength as his Reiryoku armor, and can pierce 11/10 or 110 in armor, due to frequency-enhancement and the blades themselves.

Powers and Abilities
- Close Proximity Fighter ;
He tends to keep his attacks close to an opponent, but will use a Kidō. His sword and hand-to-hand combat is aimed toward offensive more than defense.
Clear Minded ;
He doesn't really keep bad things in his head, and will always look towards the better side of it all. With this, he has the ability to keep his mind on his work, even if the rest of the squad is running around like little spider-monkeys.
Opportunistic Assaulter ;
Akane will kick a Hollow or Arrancar when they're down. He doesn't take chances on letting his opponent get back up. If they have fallen, he will slash them or stomp them to keep them down. Others may see kicking an opponent while they're down as an insult, but when it's life or death, Akane could care less about insulting an opponent or not.
Street-Brawler ;
Keeps his experience with Hand-to-Hand to his street-fighting style, and a martial art taught to him. His style of fighting stays similar to that of Boxing and using his slim body to maneuver quickly in for assaults and to evade.
Mildly Strategic ;
As Akane is blind, he must regularly keep his strategies as much on-the-go as possible. He must think quickly when facing an opponent, to recognize their fighting style, and to watch how they move around the environment, so he may better defend himself, and be able to counter-attack as effectively as possible.
C+ Student, A+ Street-wise ;
He was never the best at getting things in on time, but has worked on getting better! Or, well, tried to get better... He has always been a smart one, but just hated to have to do the same things he learned the day before over again, even if he had the same results the next. What dragged Akane down was more of the in-class studies, rather than the Test, which he seemed to always pass at a high-standard, except in Kidō. But when asked what certain things meant, how to do something that most knew little of, or simply what was going on where; Akane would almost know what to say every time, and would most of the time be 100% correct.

Reishi Sonar ;
From years of being blind, Akane is able to see outlines of living and spiritual creatures by their Reiatsu output. Those who have their spiritual pressure locked away are harder for him to spot, and so the reishi from in the air he uses to cast an outline of the person. He may also use his own to cast an outline of a being.
