The heady lilting music that filled the tavern swept around Sharda as she made her way around the gathered patrons and danced, letting the music move and guide her steps. To the patron's eye..Sharda was completely engrossed in her dance, her eyes sliding over the onlookers with a fervent wild interest. If they knew that behind that lusty smoldering look lurked a wily scheming female brain they might not have taken as many liberties with her.

Sharda..had plans. Very lofty plans in fact. While she appeared completely innocent, wild and free in her dancing..she actually was on the look out for a Male from a High House that would enable her to rise in stature. Of course..this was all due to the course of the Ken'rae House failing in their business. It didn't help matters that Sharda was now the sole provider for the House.

It wasn't that she hated being depended on, it was the fact that she was the only one in her family that was working. It irked her greatly that her siblings..the lazy grubby lecherous sisters who had great talents and abilities wouldn't use them to keep the House from falling further and further down the hierarchy in Ched Nassad. What she wouldn't give for the opportunity to ride herself of the stupid shrieking harpies.

All this was hidden behind the gyrating hips, the fluid graceful motions of the 5'7 lovely form that was practically naked beneath the mostly see through thigh length dress. Sharda shot an appreciative smile at a particular fellow who was seated near the back, almost hidden behind a silk curtain. She could tell by his dress, his finely manicured hands and refined manner that he was definitely of high society. Seeing the perfect opportunity, Sharda left the middle of the floor and made her way over to him, to treat the male to a very special private dance.

User Image Ched Nasad. A very intriguing city to say the least. Valindia found himself amused by the large calcified web streets. However did they make them, he wondered. What manner of spider could have woven such thick webs long enough ago for it's strands to turn to rock? Or was this all merely a work of magic? The latter would seem most likely to be true, but if such were the case he suspected that there would be more decorations and buildings made in such a manner scattered through out the Underdark.

His mind was not on the tavern at the moment. Nor was it on the denizens around him or the entertainment offered. Valindia had come to Ched Nasad in search of some fairly rare tomes that he had heard could be found in the city. Though he could have sent someone to find them, he did not trust anyone to the task. He did not want anyone to know what books he was purchasing. Nor did he trust anyone not to steal them on their transport to him...besides. He wanted to lay his hands upon them as quickly as possible and begin translating the archaic writ into his own private tomes.

Valindia had drawn the privacy curtain partly over his booth so he could slowly enjoy his meal as he carefully unrolled a scroll upon the table. It was not one of the tomes he was looking for, but rather it was a recording of book purchases from the shop he was hoping to buy from. One of the books had long since been sold, so he was now searching the records for the one who bought the tome he wished to own. If he could not buy it off them, he supposed he could steal it or something...

Casually Valinda stabbed his fork into a small slice of Rothe and brought it to his lips. A movement on the fringe of his privacy curtain caused his yellow eyes to lift from the scroll. The female before him wore so very little to cover her body, should one discard the fact that some of the material she wore was translucent. His white brows knit slightly. While he could clearly appreciate the view, Valindia was not about to take any chances that this female was perhaps a spy of sorts. He carefully rolled up the aged parchment and shifted in his seat to get a better view of the woman. "I have no coin to spare." He warned her, just in case it was 'that' kind of female that was seeking his attention.

Sharda's eyes flitted briefly over the parchment papers, which the male immediately rolled up and stowed away. Good, she really hadn't given them much thought at all. She had been slightly annoyed that his attention had been on the papers and not on her. yes, so it was slightly self absorbed of her to be annoyed by such things but such was the way Sharda's mind worked.

A triumphant smile tugged at the corners of her mouth as she made her way over to him and she began to gyrate and rub her arms across his shoulders and face. Her hands gently stroked his head barely even touching the fine hairs that framed his yellow eyes. She laughed a light bird like laugh at his words as she began to give him a lap dance.

"Coin isn't the prize I am after my Lord," She whispered into his ear as she climbed onto his lap.

Valinda was no stranger to the advances of females. Which in itself both spoke well of him and cursed him. He knew he had fine aristocratic features. There was no way he could possibly hide the signs of good breeding. He had tried once, and the result had been awkward and shameful. The clothing had disgusted him to the point he had finally given up on his charade. What point was there to having achieved what he had if you ended up being incapable of enjoying it?

The strange female's dance movements were, granted, very skillful and graceful. Her attraction to him strummed a cord of ego within Valinda. He shifted back a bit in his seat as she moved herself into a far more close position. Valinda shifted one of his long fingered hands onto the booth seat beside him. Under the folds of his spider silk mage robes he always carried a stiletto, and it proved to be wise to keep his hand near to the weapon when facing a unknown.

This female was every definition of Unknown. Including her agenda. Now, a common males mind would have very easily slipped into the gutter with her whispered words. Not that Valinda's did not ghost over that particular indulgence. He was not simple enough to stay there. For all he knew, she was a spy. Or perhaps she was a messenger. Or a thief. Or assassin. Valindia was leaning more heavily to one of the last two to tell the truth.

"And what sort of prize is it you seek then?" He respectfully murmured. He wanted to add on 'and how much of my time will you be wasting' to it..but Valindia was a very good drow male. Even the lowest of females demanded some measure of respect. Just because he had fancy cloths and a house seal meant nothing in a different city. The last he wished was to have his Matron receiving word he'd been executed by a priestess for mouthing off to some female that could have had friends lurking about!

Sharda's eyed the male slowly and in a flirtatious manner hiding her close scrutiny of him expertly. This male was no stranger to being hit on, sure it made her job a bit harder but she was definitely up for the challenge. She rather disliked the easy ones, they were so predictable.

She could tell that she had successfully played his ego; which was why he was now playing hard to get. She watched him move one of his hands to the booth seat and let loose a cultured laugh at the gesture. He had just given away the fact that he was armed. What was it with men? They seemed to not possess a subtle bone in their bodies.

He was a sharp one, and more inclined to worry about agendas and not what most men might think on when having a beautiful woman practically fall all over them. Such a cool calculating aristocrat was something that enticed her and intrigued her as well. His gesture earlier instantly told her that he had done that as a warning to her. Fool me or try and get at me and I will pay you back.

"Why the pleasure of your company, love." She purred, knowing that it might rile him. "Perhaps something more." She hinted with a gleam of wanton in her eyes. Damn was he a fine cool fellow. She could imagine in bed he was all fire and hard muscles. She let her left hand wander down his arm and come to rest on the hand that laid on the booth seat. "If you are up for it of course." She replied pulling his hand up to lay on her collar bone.

Smiling and attempting to flirt was not a skill he had ever invested much of his time in. His studies as a mage had taken up so much of his focus and efforts. He had let the lesser males in his house work on their charming skills to make up for their lack of useful talents. At the moment he was wondering if perhaps he should have sacrificed a day here and there to sharpen his own skills. The only merit he had at the moment was his ability to remain controlled both mentally and physically. Valindia's yellow eyes drifted down to where the females hand laid over his own, then they lifted back up to her face. Having her purring at him caused the fine hairs on the back of his neck to rise slightly.

The female was clearly well within her rights to be so forwards. Valindia was not the first, nor would he be the last, to feel disgruntled over the simple fact that it was his expected place to endure such attentions. Again, he could only hope at this point she would prove to be a thief and while she was providing such a distraction, she would take a shot at removing his coin purse and then move on off to another target.

"My company may not prove to be as pleasurable as you desire." Valindia carefully ventured as he leaned back against the corner of the booth. Hmm...how had she managed to get him this far back without him realizing it? His thoughts shifted from such pondering to the realization that she was not exactly making any move yet to back off him. Valinda's yellow eyes drifted down to the hand that currently rested upon her own collar bone. So forwards... His fingers twitched slightly with the effort he needed to place in restraining himself. Lacking as he might have been in the education of seduction, there was certainly a natural impulse to let his hand drift lower then where it currently rested.

"I feel it is pertinent to our current situation to inform you another Lady has claim to me. A Matron." He added the last just in case she was of the female sort to hardly care about other females possessions. Of course, in retrospect he realized that if that were not the case, such an admission could have been seen as a challenge? How many males ended up being the playthings of power struggles between females in their desire to one up each other? Inwardly Valinda held back a sour grimace. Something like that had happened to a elder brother of his. As he recalled that had not ended well for him...of course...the fool had tried to play both sides as it were.
