User ImageOh, how perfect!

Well, things weren't exactly perfect for Sahaulifu right now, with her mate and.. ahem, 'friend' fighting over who was the father of the cubs she had been expecting just a few weeks ago, but they were close enough for her to feel good about her life at that moment. It was a nice and early morning, anyone could plainly see that, the sun slowly starting to poke it's head up over the horizon, leaving things covered in a light shade of darkness. "How lovely.." Giving a quick shake of her head down to her tail as she fully emerged from inside the family den, Saha' let out a satisfied breath. Turning to look back at the insides of the well-shaded rock formation, the female gave a sway of her tail in thought.

She had cubs. Two adorable little girls and a handsome boy. And they were all so darling! Had she been that cute as a child? Oh, and the looks they gotten from both her and Kw-..

She. had. children. Kweu'Chini's cubs at that! Not Utatu's.. as she thought would've been the case with their recent fling during her mate's absence. What on earth was she supposed to do about all of this?

Saha' sat, curling her tail around her feet as she started to smooth a patch of bed-ruffled fur. She couldn't just flick Utatu away like dirt and say 'You can go now, we're done.' That would certainly hurt his feelings, and she didn't want that. Why, that would just be rude! She gave a lick at her fur as mused over things.

Antia was a bold cub, even there snuggled up against her mother she was happily using her legs to get as much space as she could moving her siblings away from her. She liked the space and she liked the feel of her mother beside her. The warmth of her mother was a comfort to her and even the wriggling of her siblings made her feel happy and secure. Her father, she knew nothing of, all she knew was her mother and the warmth around her. At that point in time she was a very happy cub.

Moto'Kichwani had been sleeping just moments before, but the movement around him woke him up. His mom was awake, and with the energy of a youngster he was ready to get up and chase her after just a quick shake of his head and a few staggering steps out of the den. Outside, things were brighter, but not by much yet. He squinted in the direction of the rising sun and blinked at it a few times.

“Mom, what are you doing, Mom?” Kich asked in his chirpy, overly-enthusiastic way, “Are you going hunting? Can I watch? Is Dad around? Did he go hunting? Do you think I grew last night?” Kich knew already that the answer to most of these questions would be no, but he hoped that if he asked enough of them, some might end up being yes just out of odds.

Spying his sister still trying to sleep, he swatted playfully at her head and then dashed away a few steps, anticipating a chase eagerly.

Jinimsitu stuck her nose into the light at the edge of the den and blinked. Slowly, cautiously, she crawled out of the den and took a look around, ears twitching. Before she could take everything in her brother started chirping. Jini looked up and giggled. Oh, Kich!

While Kich was focused on Atina, Jini snuck up behind him and prepared to pounce.

Kweu'Chini' was on the search for his mate. He had left her to go find them a home. Some place that would provide food shelter and water and hopefully a safe place for any future cubs they would have. Sahaulifu~ He said as he thought of her. He really missed her and would no doubt get depressed if he didnt find her soon. He continued to walk down the unbeaten path in search for his old home. Knowing it was close.

Brought out of her thoughts by the trio of cubs as they made their way out of the den soon after she had stepped out, letting a smile crawl over her maw as she felt little Antia snuggling up close. "Well, good morning, sweetheart." Sahaulifu said with a soft chuckle, delivering a quick nuzzle along with her morning greeting to her daughter. Soon after that came the string of questions from Moto'Kichwani. How sudden! Having the questions just asked like that out of the blue caused Saha' to let out a small laugh, the cheetah bringing up a front paw to lightly cover her mouth.

"Mm, I suppose I could go hunting, little one~" Saha' answered with a playful look of thought on her face before smiling at her son. "That would depend on if the three of you were hungry at the moment, though." Casting her light pink eyes over at Jini' as she came out from the den, she held back from verbally greeting her other daughter, instead flashing a small grin as she watched her make her way over to Kich'.

Silly little cubs!

As suddenly as Kich's questions, the faint scent of something familiar was caught by the female's nose. '...Kweu'?' Her ears perked up as she realized that, yes, it was the leopard. He was back from his house-hunting trip?

Saha' had been keeping the cubs with her in the den the past few weeks, intent on not letting Kweu'Chini and Utatu see them until they both calmed down with their fighting and chilled out. When Antia, Jinimsitu, and Moto'Kichwani had wanted to play outside or watch her go hunting? Sahaulifu had simply told the two males to go away or face a good chomp to the tail. Of course, she had told her little ones about their father and who he was, as well as who 'Uncle' Utatu was, not seeing any reason why they shouldn't know. But the guys?...

She could keep them waiting with their question of who daddy was.

Her mate had left to find a new home a week or two ago, and Utatu had been... well, she really didn't keep track of the male, being busy with the three little ones. Perhaps today she could reveal who the father of the cubs was to the males!

But where was Utatu? She wanted him to know!

Antia was more then happy snuggling up until her brother swatted at her and then that was it.

"Thats not nice!" She moaned before getting up properly and running after him. Oh she would get him! She had been so happy curled up next to her mother she didn't want to move. Stupid brother.

"I will get you!" She growled in her cub like way. The growl hardly sounded threatening but she was sure her brother knew she was serious and that she was about to get revenge! Then maybe he would learn she rather liked sleeping!

((Sorry guys, I've been distracted!))

Utatu had been traveling, of sorts. He needed to get away from everything, from the cubs and the woman he had once been infatuated with. He was sick of her, of how she didn't know who the father was. How could a female not know? Even worse, why did Kweu stay with that woman after her fling with Utatu? Yes, he admitted what he had done was wrong, but was acting on love so despicable, especially when the one you loved was willing to give it back, even if for one night.

No, he couldn't be near there anymore, it hurt to much. Had, that is. He was returning now, to see the cubs. He had heard of them, but hadn't seen them, yet. He could smell Saha' nearby, and he could only feel pain inside him.

He had loved her.

But no, she was not his. She was Kweu's.

He saw three cubs, and a familiar green female. He approached, warily though. What was he going to do? Run? No, he was tired of that. He wouldn't fall for her again....right?

Kweu' emerged from the tangle brush to find his mate standing a few feet off with three cute little cubs near her. He approached her till he was about three feet away and he could not look her in the eye because of how he acted the night he found out. As he looked down he noticed another male from the corner of his eye. It took all will power for him not to growl but he failed at not baring his fangs.

Kich heard his mother, but he had his sister to worry about presently. He’d asked for trouble and he’d gotten it, Antia looked really mad!

“I know it’s not nice, that’s why I did it! If you have a problem with it, come get me!“ Kich teased his sister, sticking his tongue out and blowing a raspberry at her. He leaped back as she started to chase him, but he hadn’t seen Jini behind him and before he knew what was happening, he’d hopped back and right into he perfect range for her to pounce on him. Looking about, he realized he’d bitten off more than he could chew, and with a startled squeak he tried to dash around to the other side of Sahaulifu and use her as cover. That was, assuming his sisters didn’t catch him first!

“Mom, help!” He squealed, sounding urgent but still grinning playfully. He might be outmatched but he still loved being chased, after all! For now he was too busy retreating from his sisters to notice that his Dad had returned, as well as Utatu.

Giving a small laugh as Antia reacted to her brother's actions with a growl, Sahaulifu then let out a mildly scolding click of her tongue. He had been asking for it, going on and waking his sister from her sleep on purpose. Oh, that boy... Ah, but it was all in good fun. She'd give him a light scolding later on, let him know that it wasn't a gentlemanly course of action and all that polite. "Anti', dear, don't harm your brother too badly." ..Haha, what did she have to worry about? 'They should be fine.' Their mother thought with a smile, watching as Antia and Kich' played their little game of cat and mouse, Jini' ready to pounce on their brother at any moment. They were just cubs, after all! She hadn't been capable of doing much harm as a cub, so certainly the-

Ears perking up and body tensing at the scent of another male close by, Sahaulifu turned her head to get a look at who it was, unable to shake off the feeling that it was.. Yep. Right on the spot, there was Utatu! Still feeling uneasy, she managed to give him a mannerly smile as well as a gesture of her head telling him to come over and visit. "..Help you, sweetheart?" Distracted by her son's sudden squeak as he went around her, Saha' looked to him and gave a quirk of her brow. "Should I?" Giving the question, she turned her gaze over to her daughters, smiling playfully.

Then suddenly, Kweu'Chini was there, baring his teeth at Utatu as he made his way over to her and the cubs, stopping just short of the small family. Flashing him a disapproving look, Saha' motioned for him to come over as well with a flick of her tail, keeping an eye on the three young Leotah's play as she looked over to the two males.

Utatu saw the smile, not returning it. He did come over, nodding to the female he had once loved, and the male he had once been friends with. He did not return the bared teeth, finding himself higher than that and instead ignoring it. He was not a mongrel, so he was not going to go about baring his teeth at anything and everything that annoyed him. He stopped before the group, sitting on his haunches.

"Greetings."

Antia cared very little that her mother told her not to hurt him too much, she was planning on ripping him to shreds! Oh just wait till she got her claws on him. He woke her up!

She didn't get the chance to though, two scents reached her that she had either previously ignored or they weren't there before, she wasn't sure what it was, after all her brother had been such a pain! She looked around though and saw a male not looking too happy and looking rather large, not like mother at all but the other male looked like mother... he had the same long legs!

Antia wasn't too bothered by which one was her father, maybe she already knew, she was always so distracted and she had so wanted to sleep. She took one more look at both males and then ran at the only one she had interest in - her brother. Oh she was going to get him!

The game abruptly stopped for Jini when she saw her father's fangs. Her ears drooped as she looked to Utatu. Why was daddy mad at that cheetah? Was he a bad guy? If he was, why was he sitting next to mama? Jini felt confused.

"Mama! Who is that cheetah?" Jini called, sounding distressed.
