Odessa lounged lazily at the side of a small pond, one paw tucked under her chest while the other was dipped in the murky water; waiting for fish to come by and take a nibble. She loved the way their small mouths sucked on her toes, it tickled ever so slightly and made one of her tiny smiles light up her facial features. Her eyes darted after the koi as they swam by, trying to keep her body as still as possible so they would realize she was not there to harm them. After awhile of trying, she sighed and pulled her paw back, shaking off the grime before reaching up to fix the shells in her hair; she had acquired quite a few lately.
Looking around, she made sure no one was watching nearby before she closed her eyes; listening to the sounds of the water and the wind as it blew through her hair. It was so peaceful, so quiet, so innocent..... But something was off, she could feel a change in the wind; something evil was coming.

Legion yawned as she uncurled herself from her mid-afternoon nap. She had gone to great lengths to make sure her nap remained uninterrupted this time. As the past few times either her mother, one of her cousins, her sister, or another family member deemed it necessary to interrupt her nap. It wasn't like she didn't spend all night awake and causing chaos, it wasn't like she didn't do things and that they weren't tiring! Just because she wasn't awake during the day didn't mean she didn't do anything. How anyone could think just because she slept a part of the day away she was lazy she would never understand. Ah well that didn't matter, what mattered now was going to cause a little bit of drama. As it was she needed a distraction from her own family problems, perhaps Deya would prove to be entertaining? Might as well go see and if not her than Deus surely.
She stretch out her body arching like a cat and giving a yawn before gliding lightly to the ground and starting off at an easy trot that gobbled up the ground under her feet.
She traveled for quite some time at this pace and eventually found herself lost in her own thoughts, as such she probably would have bypassed the other noodle all together had the slight fluttering of her hair not caught in the corner of the little princess' eye.
She turned to eye the female lying along the water's edge her eyes closed in bliss. Well wasn't this interesting... what was she doing all the way out here. Legion gave a slight sniff in her direction... well she smelled like water first and for most and sea breeze and... of all the things innocence. The smell as well as the slight breeze made her halo twist and writhe like a living thing.
She took a few steps forward might as well have some fun ne? "Well hello there little lady, and might I inquire as to how you are and what you are doing out here?"

Odessa let her ears fold back against her head as she felt the dark aura surround her and press down on her chest; making it hard to breathe. Opening her eyes wide, she looked towards the sound of footsteps, a menacing female turning her eyes upon her as though looking for something to occupy her time..... Something she could play with for awhile. Sticking her nose in the air, the vixen lifted herself off the ground carefully and stood her ground, staring hard at the female before her. With a presence like that, surely this was a demon who had tread upon her place of rest; it was vital she stay cautious and alert at all times. As her eyes searched Legion's body for signs of a threat, she tried to seem less frightened than she really was, pressing her foot forward confidently.
She didn't want to seem easy prey for the demon, but she wasn't exactly the intimidating type, so she did her best just to tighten her jaw and stay silent. Evil didn't deserve her words, especially when even the nicest of people got frustrated with her speech. Turning away, she huffed and let her paw run happily along the top of the water; her shells clacking with the movement and her body exuding an irritated aura.

Legion couldn't help but tilt her head to the side at Odessa's behavior. The vixen didn't speak and that made her question of she even could speak. If she couldn't speak... well then Legion couldn't very well expect her to now could she? Though with the stance the vixen had it was hard to say what was up. She could just be unwilling to talk... she looked a bit... frightened? Which Legion couldn't see why she would be afraid of her. After all Legion hadn't made any threatening movements nor had she acted at all like she was going to attack. As far as she could tell Legion had been nothing but sweet.
She shook her head and walked up to sit beside the female extending her wings. "Well I suppose you don't have to say anything if you don't want to. It was a simple question no need to get all upset. I'm not gonna hurt ya you know that right? Geeze its not like I walk around randomly harming people sheesh. I almost never lay a finger on anyone and the only time I do is because they deserve it." She gave a small shake of her head and looked over at Odessa. "Ya know I think you might worry to much. I mean I'm not evil. It's not like I murder kittens and kick puppies... "She looked mildly horrified at the thought. "Anyway... I suppose I should be kind of I don't know... You just need to loosen up." She stated pressing her nose to Odessa's shoulder.

Odessa watched nervously at Legion moved to sit next to her, eyes following her body carefully as though the other vixen would, in fact, attack her if she averted her gaze for even a moment. It didn't matter if she tried to make any aggressive remarks or acted on her demonic nature, her aura kept Odessa on her toes at all times. This was how it always happened with people who she seemed "unkind," for every time she had tried to associate with people whose heart seemed dark, they would spin her in a web of lies and hurt. No one could change the tale of their soul, and they would always follow the path of evil once it had a tight grip on them; especially if it had been set in stone by their lineage
Snapping her head up as Legion spoke, she clenched her jaw and stayed silent, only taking the chance to shake her head lightly, almost as if mocking her for asking such a question; of course, she would hurt anyone if given the opportunity. Her mood didn't lighten as she went on, and she almost felt as if this girl was trying to wrap her in another web of lies, but she knew better. Of course she would say anything to make Odessa think better of her, put her guard down, and then get devoured like she was nothing but a meal. Growling softly under her breath, she shivered with the touch of her nose, moving away from it slightly, but deciding to act good for now. It wouldn't do to have this girl prodding her until she broke, instead she might have to fake decency to keep the vixen at bay. Faking a small upward twitch of her lips, she breathed calmly and nodded gently as if in understanding; ready to move quickly if the time came.

Legion watched the female carefully. "Wow, so you must really be mute." Legion gave a soft sigh and shook her head. "That has to be terrible. I can't imagine not being able to speak at all. I mean that just doesn't seem like any sort of fun. I have always been a loud mouth I suppose you could say... or something like that. I like to talk just a little too much maybe?" Legion stated with a small laugh, before shaking her head again. "Shells you are going to give yourself a stress induced heart attack if you don't loosen up. Look at you... you are sitting all tight, your smile is tight. You look like you are really uncomfortable..." Legion shook her head once more... this vixen was strange. It was like every muscle in her body was tight with something... be it fear or nervousness or anger. It made Legion wonder just what was wrong with her... and if perhaps she had been the one to cause it. Of course Legion knew how her father felt, how he hated it when people acted like this around their family. Which was why they were part of the Pardus family.
One of the few families that had accepted her father at a very young age with open arms. Still Legion herself had never really been bothered by it and she had to admit this was the first time she had ever run into someone like this before. Most of the time people weren't nearly this... unkind... or scared or... whatever. "Ya know... I don't think you like me very much Shells... could it be because of the way I look?" Legion asked with a tilt of her head.

Odessa let a small, real smile twitch at the corner of her lips as the other vixen spoke; feeling the aura around her twist into a sort of sympathy, though still very dark. It was good for Legion to believe she was mute, that way she wouldn't have to explain herself or speak that broken language people always abused her for using. Nodding gently, she allowed her muscles to relax a bit as she listened and watched carefully, ears twitching every so often as if to hear what was coming next. She couldn't let her guard down, but she had a feeling staying like this would just cause irritation and whining on the other girl's part; certainly she was not going to get anywhere or learn anything by keeping stiff muscles. It would also become a problem if her muscles got tired or tightened to the point of not moving; in a way Legion was correct in all her assumptions.
Never having family beyond her sister, and not enjoying the company of others while she traveled, Odessa really hadn't met too many dark auras; beyond those who had attacked her when she was young. It was strange now, to meet one who wanted to associate, or tried to speak normally beyond twisted words, before just outright digging their claws into her. Widening her eyes a bit, her ears began to lay back against her head as she tried to think about how to answer that question..... What was this girl's angle? After a few seconds, Odessa gave a small nod, deciding there wasn't much she could gain from learning something so trivial.

Legion flopped out on her side to look up at the female. She gave a soft huff at the fact that the female didn't like her because of her looks. How utterly... unkind. Legion gave a soft flick of her tail before lying her head on her paws and huffing. "Well that isn't very kind Shells. It's not my fault that I look this way, I wasn't able to control the way my looks came together." She flicked her tail and rolled over onto her back to lift a paw up and bat lightly at Odessa's muzzle.
"Ya know, my mommy warned me about people like you. The type that hate us simply because of the way we look." She nodded her head lightly. "He used to have a horrible time making friends. What with his looks and everyone was scared of him and it really made him very upset." She gave a soft sigh before continuing. "People say he is a monster, they also say my daddy is a monster because of the way he looks. I suppose that makes me a terribly ugly monster. How sad... I always though I looked rather spiffy." She gave a shrug and stopped her pawing at Odessa's muzzle. "I wonder if this means I am doomed to a life of loneliness? Not that it bothers me to terribly much, I mean after all I have Deya who is my cousin and she looks up to me and follows me around. I suppose in the end I always have my family even if we do look like monsters. Though I personally think my grandma-ma is a very lovely fox. She is black with green feet and a cute little hat and she glows! She is just lovely!" Legion stated this with a high pip in her voice.
"Ya know Shells, I didn't take you for the judgmental type... guess I was wrong,"

Odessa watched silently as the vixen moved around, eyes following her movements rigidly and with a look that almost claimed to be unamused; unphased by the irritation her response had caused. As the girl spoke, her gaze dropped until she felt herself staring hard at the ground, paw picking at the dirt almost as though she felt ashamed of the way she was acting.... What was this feeling? She couldn't pity this girl! It wasn't just the way she looked, but the aura that seeped off her; everything about this young demon was evil, and yet Odessa had this feeling that it was her in the wrong here.... Letting her ear twitch lightly, she was almost oblivious to the soft pounding on her muzzle, for this certainly wasn't the kind of attack her mind had imagined upon their meeting.
Letting her ears droop lower, she listened with not only with her mind but her heart too, for she understood what it was like to deal with prejudices; people's judgments stung like hell until you became numb to them. The words hit very close to home, and no matter how selfish it seemed, her thoughts kept returning to the way people had treated her for being silent, and when she wasn't, for the way that she spoke. A family of demons..... Misunderstood.... Kind but.... Alone.... This girl had a family that cared for and loved her, just like Odessa had a sister to watch over her; mistreated and misjudged for all the wrong reasons. It felt like her gut was twisting up in knots with the irony of the situation, but she didn't know how to react other than in her head.
Glaring darkly at the ground, and without another thought to it, Odessa laid down quietly on the grass and gave a slight nuzzle to Legion's cheek. "Je suis desolee.... Tu es gentille.... Et beaucoup comme moi...."
((IF YOU NEED THE TRANSLATION: I am sorry.... You are kind.... And very much like me....))
