Hello, everyone! As you can tell, everyone's been split into groups of four. There's three "dreamers" per group. That being said, as there's six remaining days, everyone gets an even two days. If the dream exceeds around 48 hours from the original post, your character has a mental breakdown. This effectively ends the dream. If you want to end it early with a breakdown, that's fine as well. If you want an extension, talk to me (in whatever way) and we'll work it out. Try to plan your dreams a bit for how long they'll take.

If everybody gets through their primaries, secondaries will be selected at random.

The actual dream itself should typically consist of various imaginary figures. Dead friends, dead family? Go for it. The entire landscape can change to suit your nightmare. Is your greatest fear getting lost? Have an endless maze burst out of the ground. Everything is fair game, nothing is off limits (except XXX with your XXX in someone else's XXX.)

The goal of every "dream" is to make the dreamer realize it's fake. Although this sounds simple at first, this is the darkest fear of that person! It won't be quite so simple. This can manifest in any number of ways from fighting a high HP boss, fighting a swarm of enemies, rescuing the dreamer from a dangerous situation... Anything's fair game. You can even set your own character up as a boss!

And, for some added "fun", the nightmares are fully solid. In a closed off space with much stronger horror's than Solaris's, the dream is actually very solid, very real to everyone who sees it.

Cherry/Cat/Luna/Drahcir are in here.

Cherry's nightmare is first.

Zero? Erilyn

He was trotting at the heels of his trainer, the two of them walking down a small trail through the bright and lively forest. Ze-...Erilyn? Yes, his name was Erilyn- looked up to see his trainer silhouetted against the bright summer sun. There was a childish skip in her steps, a skip that has never diminished in the five years of life Erilyn had known his now fifteen-year-old trainer. Erilyn loved Natalie. She had so much life, so much compassion and joy...

He felt a deep sense of contentment, as if he had gained something precious he had lost. He belonged here, and he felt a complete and overwhelming feeling of completeness. There was nothing that could go wrong.

He leaned against Natalie's leg affectionately, mewing happily. She stopped and giggled, bending down to pet him on the head. He craned his neck to manoeuvrer his head so that she was scratching that perfect spot behind his ears. It's been...so long since he's had her scratch his ears like that- wait, no, she does it often, everyday.

He opened his eyes as she reached under him with her hands and picked him up, holding him close to herself in a hug. He closed his eyes once more as she resumed her walking, talking happily to him. He doesn't know the exact meaning of the words, but he could feel the love and adoration in them. She had been with him since he had hatched. He huddled closer against her, taking in her warmth and the safety of her arms.

"I missed you Erilyn." She whispered, and he jerked his head up, surprised. He had understood every word of it.

"Eve?" He asked, cocking his head as he glanced up at her face. This didn't feel right. She suddenly stopped walking, sniffling slightly. Erilyn wriggled out of the tight hug and stretched up to place his front paws just under her neck, to see tears streaming down her face. His eyes widened, and he reached his head up to lick the tears away. He wagged his large bushy tail slightly, cocking his head with a tentative smile, hoping to cheer Natalie up.

She broke out into loud sobbing, grabbing Erilyn roughly and hugging him tightly against her chest. He cried out in surprise, wriggling slightly from the uncomfortable position, but he soon calmed down, digging his head against his trainer, as if trying to burrow somewhere safe. He suddenly felt so scared, so exposed.

"I missed you so much Eril." She whispered through her sobs, shaking her head back and forth. Erilyn shivered; the warmth offered by his trainer seemed to diminish. Only then did he notice that the land around them was much darker, as if the sun was setting. Has it really been that long? "Don't leave me this time...not again..."

"Eevee..." He murmured, confused -again? When had he left her before?-, trying to nuzzle Natalie, but she suddenly dropped him. With a yelp, he struggled to turn in mid-air and land on his feet. His right forelimb twisted awkwardly as he landed, causing him to stumble. Erilyn cried out in pain, collapsing to the side, eyes watering with pain. He blinked back the tears to stare back at his trainer though, who looked terrified as she pointed ahead of her at a patch of trees and brush.

"They- They're here!" She squeaked in a raw, high-pitched voice. He turned his head slowly to stare at the patch she was pointing at. At first, he saw nothing, but then the shadows seemed to darken and deepen unnaturally, except for a few points. And as the darkness grew, those points seemed to grow brighter, glowing red. Zero's eyes widened as forms began to step out of the shadows, those red dots manifesting as eyes. Maws snapped together in threatening growls, drool and blood slipping through their teeth to splatter against the dried and withered grass.

Behind them was a background of bare, twisted, and tortured trees grasped desperately at the blood-red sky, towards the glowing red circle that was the sun. It was diminished, weak, as if the darkness all around it was slowly smothering its light. He couldn't take his eyes off the sun as a small dark speck grew ever larger in its centre, as some figure bore down at him from above. He ducked, burying his head under his paws as the figured flew past him at high speeds, the wind picking up his fur and violently jerking it along. Behind him he heard a shrill scream.

Erilyn spun around, eyes wide with fear. The large black form had rammed into his trainer, tripping Natalie to the ground. As she flailed and tried to get back onto her feet, it moved to get its maw around her throat, pinning her down with razor-sharp claws. This entire time, Natalie's screams filled Erilyn's head, echoing and tearing painfully at his mind. He ran at Natalie, adding his own yelling to the chaos of sounds, desperate to pry the creature off his beloved Trainer.

He forgot about his twisted paw, and tripped, landing hard with his face scraping along the ground for a little bit before coming to a stop- a brief stop as he felt something clamp powerful jaws around his tail and start to drag him backwards. He dug his claws into the ground before himself, crying out desperately, pitifully, in pain.

He lost his grip when his trainer's scream turned into a gurgle and then stopped altogether. His eyes widened as he saw her form stiffen and several more dark forms crowded around her body. Two of them closed in on him, and as he put up a weak defence, they pinned him to the ground easily.

He watched as the dark forms tore into his trainer's flesh, a whimper never dying in his throat. He stared up into the face of his captor, finally recognizing it as a Poochyena as it opened its mouth and bore down upon him.

---

Zero was one of the first to arrive in this world, and was immediately taken by its power.

Tl;dr: You appear near the scene, which is a dead forest with dry bare trees and withered grass and undergrowth; the sky is dark with a weak red sun. You can see several Poochyenas and Mightyenas eating the remains of a human, and trying to kill an injured shiny eevee.

These Poochyenas and Mightyenas are extremely powerful, for that is how Erilyn-Zero sees them. This means that per turn, it takes 2 Pokemon to take down a Nightmare-Poochyena and 3 Pokemon to take down a Nightmare-Mightyena. Example: if you have 4 Pokemon, you may take down a maximum of 2 Poochyenas or 1 Mightyena.

End Zero's nightmare in any way you can! Whether through brute force (Kill all the nightmare monsters!) or...

Zori & Kai & Luna & Mandarin

"RAVEN!" Mandarin screamed, her love torn from her grasp as she was thrown to the ground.
Beside her, Zori scrambled to her paws, her ears flat against her head. She bared her teeth in an instinctive, primal snarl as she found herself face to face with a rather large Mightyena.
She stepped forward, growling threateningly, but the terrifying roar of the canine before her was much louder.
With a terrified shriek, Rin darted backward, avoiding a snap of the canine's jaws.
Zori leaped onto it's head, her claws digging into the thick fur of the beast.
Kai came out of nowhere, jumping and grabbing the Mightyena by the spine, and sending both it and his captain tumbling into the dust.
For several minutes, they tussled in the sand, until a ear-piercing battlecry split the air, and Luna dove in, slamming her bone club into the Mightyena's skull.
It fell silent, lying motionless on the rocky ground, and all three of them slipped away from it, breathing hard.
They were distracted yet again as Rin screamed, and all heads turned to her, and to what she pointed.
A very young shiny Eevee lay in the dust, whimpering, but several more of the vicious hounds circled him and what appeared to be a human. A dead human.
Zori darted forward, crouching protectively over the Eevee, and her team flooded in behind her, snarling and hissing at the Mightyena pack.
Rin stayed back, squealing in fright.

{{ Umm... -1 Mightyena. }}

Imiti appeared, fishtank containing Celsus inside, about thirty feet from the scene. Evaluating the scene, Imiti dropped the fishtank a safe distance away. He found a vantage point in a tree,
crack
was right beside the Eevee, grabbed it by the tail, and
crack
deposited the Eevee where the fishtank was. "Snack and die."
(Erilyn has been extracted from the situation. Also, again, sorry for the terrible post.)

Erilyn

Erilyn was crying, covering his eyes with his paws. He felt the Poochyena let go of his tail, and peeked from under a paw only long enough to see another dark form crouched over him. With a frightened yell, he ducked his head and attempted to bury it with his paws, pressing his ears flat against his head. His small body was bobbing with sobbing, his mind filled with his inevitable end and the end of his trainer.

One of the Mightyenas slammed itself against Zori, knocking her off the crouched eevee enough for him to dig his claws into his side at the same moment an Abra appeared.

With a crack!, all three landed elsewhere. Erilyn was flailing violently, and the Mightyena moved in for the kill; and both veered a little bit to the side during the teleport to land in...water.

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Morana && Crescendo && Chase

As he and his newfound friends approached the group, Crescendo spotted a familiar form.

"Anna!" He turned to give a thankful bow to Rin, and then slithered over to the Houndour's side. Morana turned at her name, and she straightened up, tail wagging when she saw who it was.

"Crescendo! Are you OK?" She asked. Beside him Chase sat, watching the exchange curiously. The three looked up when Solaris yelled for everyone to run. Morana's ear flicked as she heard the scream, and turned to watch the approaching forest-!

She turned to run, but trees sprouted up all around her, a root tripping her to the ground. Beside her Crescendo cried out in alarm but Chase held his footing. As soon as things settled, he grabbed Morana and helped her to his feet.

Just in time too. The three turned back to view the scene, eyes wide. There was a hoard of black poochyenas, a dead Mightyena, one alive...one very far off in the distance. Their eyes shone a demonic red.

Most of the Poochyena's attention were turned away from them, towards the Mightyena in the distance. They had their sights on a particular Shiny Eevee, and all of them ran in that direction, except for a few who stayed to protect the remains of their meal. Chase's eyes opened wide when he recognized the form as human.

The Mightyena left was facing Zori's group, but his head snapped to the side to take in the new group. With a snarl he leaped at them at frightening speeds- and smacked right into a shimmering barrier.

Crescendo had wrapped his tail in a semi-circle around Morana and Chase, shaking with fear as he kept his barrier up. The Mightyena snarled and, attacking the barrier with abandon as it began to weaken, showed no signs of letting up.

Morana crouched, an image flashing in her mind of the barrier shattering and Crescendo reeling back from the force. She understood it to be her Future Sight and acted upon it, leaping forward just as the barrier broke as she saw.

Crescendo fell away and Morana nipped at the Mightyena's face. She didn't get a good grip and the other Dark type snapped his head up against Morana's chin. She landed on his back and slipped off, scrambling back to her feet, electricity crackling in her fur.

The Mightyena ignored her and continued forward, pouncing at Chase. The Vulpix scrambled to leap away, but the bigger pokemon pinned him down to the ground by his tail. Chase hit the ground from the downward force, and he suddenly burst into flames as an attempt to shake off his attacker. The Mightyena kept him pinned, ignoring the fire that burned his paw.

The Dark Type reeled though, as a large tail slammed into its face.

"Milotic!" Crescendo cried, diving over Chase at the Mightyena in a headbutt. He drove it to the ground, wrapping his body tightly around it as it viciously bit and tore at him until the Milotic began to bleed from several minor wounds. He bent down to slam the side of his head against the Mightyena the same time Morana opened her mouth and shot a light blue beam of light at it.

Crescendo uncurled himself from the Mightyena, letting it fall to the ground, encased in ice. The Milotic looked up at Morana who only offered a shrug in reply -She knew Ice Beam?- and then curled up into a coil, his wounds starting to mend.

Pluto && Thanatos

Pluto watched the battle from a distance, frowning. This was probably the same kind of situation as Solaris's vision, though by the wounds sustained by some of the battlers, this seemed much more solid, much more real.

He grunted as he was suddenly shoved out of the way, a Dark Ghostly form where he stood moments ago. Thanatos grunted as the Shadowball hit him, the super-effective move seeming to take somewhat of a toll of the Ghost Type. The Gengar's eyes narrowed, and suddenly he shot down into the ground.

A moment later, dark tendrils of ghostly energy came up and out of the ground, wrapping around the demonic Poochyena. More and more tendrils came up, and the Poochyena snarled, roared, growled, did everything it could to fight it. When Thanatos once again reformed, the Poochyena laid dead on the ground and the Gengar floated back to Pluto's side.

"Are you OK?" He asked. The Leafeon nodded, tiredly pulling himself to his feet. He was too old for this. They had to end this. The first thing to do is to find the one dreaming.

"Keep your guard up next time." Thanatos told him, and Pluto looked up to stare at his protector. Was that a hint of...discontentment in his voice? The Gengar had never talked to Pluto like that before, and the words didn't fit. Thanatos always saw it as his duty to protect Pluto, and rarely expected anything from the Leafeon himself in that regard. Maybe it was just this situation that was putting the Ghost at edge.

((-1 Mightyena, -1 Poochyena.

A good chunk of the Poochyenas are now running at where Erilyn resulted from the teleport. Erilyn and a Mightyena is now in Celsus's Fishtank.))

Zori & Kai & Luna & Mandarin

Zori yelped in alarm as she found herself flying through the air, and slamming into the ground several moments later.
She cried out in pain, and Mandarin quickly Teleported to her side, pulling her up into her arms.
"It's another illusion! Last time, Solaris was the source; if we can find whoever is the source this time, we can convince them that it isn't real! We can stop the illusion in it's tracks!" The injured Leafeon suddenly realized, pricking her ears.
"But who's the source?" Rin's voice was shrill with fear.
"The Eevee! It must be! All of the pack are after him!" Luna called back, swiping at a Poochyena with her Bone Club.
Kaiyou leaped in from the side, and brought it to it's knees with Muddy Water, the miniature tidal wave crashing over it's head.
"He's a child! How do you convince a child not to be afraid of it's own nightmare?!"
Zori paused, unsure. "We'll have to think of some way, or we might share the human's fate!" She murmured to Rin, who immediately dropped her out of fear, before squealing apologies in an oddly high-pitched voice.
Zori shook her head, and ran toward the fishbowl, grabbing the Eevee sharply by the scruff, and running back toward the group of older, friendlier Pokemon.
She set him down on the ground between her paws, rasping her tongue a few times over it's ears. "Calm, little one~" She soothed, although it was obvious that was wasn't happy about becoming the new target for masses of blood-thirsty canines.
"It's just a nightmare~" She swept her tail around the little fox, licking his ears again to try and calm him down enough to listen.
She paused, wincing as she heard Luna scream, being knocked easily aside by a powerful Mightyena. It was running, now, charging straight for them.

By the time Nadia and Luke heard Solaris screamed, the two tried to run but it was too late. A tree stalk grew in front of them, causing the two to stop. Seconds later, more trees grew from beneath them while the sky turned dark. "W-What is going on?" He stepped backwards followed by Nadia. The Riolu tilted his head to the direction of Poochyenas and Mightyenas eating a human. Luke shoved a paw in front of his eyes, shielding it from seeing the death of the human. Nadia just stared at them, since she IS a Poochyena and eat humans or other Pokemons. "Mehh..I don't like the taste of humans anyway." She said.

As a Mightyena charged at the poor, injured Eevee whom is now cuddled by a Leafeon, Luke Sword Danced his way in front of the Mightyena and attacked with Quick Attack. His attack didn't seem to even hurt the Mightyena and he quickly Bite the Riolu's shoulder and swung him aside. "Luke!" Nadia Shadow Forced in front of the Mightyena scratched its chest. The Mightyena stopped. He doesn't seem like he have an interest on killing Nadia though from the scar she made onto its chest, its hard to tell. At least she made it stop from charging towards the shiny Eevee and the Leafeon. The Poochyena then position herself, ready to pounce, but the Mightyena's stare quiet intimidated her, distracting her from continuing her attack.

Seeing the situation at hand dealt with, Imiti turned his eyes to the battle in front of him.

He teleported behind the main group of enemies and used a technique that had worked out well for him in the past.
crack
Imiti was standing on a Poochyena head.
crack
Imiti and the Poochyena were five hundred feet in the air.
crack
Imiti was back on the ground, watching the Poochyena fall.

Erilyn

Erilyn thrashed desperately in the water, the Mightyena's claws digging deep and painfully into his side as the larger Pokemon tried to kill him. He gasped when his head finally broke the surface of the water, but the Mightyena pushed him back down forcibly.

The eevee yelped, losing what breath he had managed to hold when he felt teeth bite into the scruff of his neck, lifting him out of the water. The Mightyena, half-trapped by the Fishtank could not follow, and as Erilyn was dragged away the Mightyena's claws finally exited his flesh, trailing blood.

Erilyn was panic-stricken, blinded by pain, clawing and kicking at the air as whatever had him carried him off. He was crying, squirming, and fighting to get free when he was set on the ground. He stiffened when whatever had him began to gently lick his ear, and he looked up at the voice.

It was a Leafeon.

His sobbing redoubled in volume, this time in relief, as he suddenly turned and curled up against Zori, pressing himself against her as if desperate to hide from the world with her as his shield. Which he probably was. He shut his eyes tighter when he heard the screaming as if he could shut out the world, curling up tighter, hiding his head under his large dripping and soaked tail, barely hearing the Leafeon's words.

((The Monsters have weakened! Poochyenas now only take 1 Pokemon to defeat and Mightyenas take 2.))

User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Morana && Crescendo && Chase

Morana, Crescendo, and Chase rushed forward to the others. Crescendo stopped when he reached Zori, circling her and erecting a barrier; the Leafeon was taking care of a young eevee, and wasn't in a position to fight very well. Morana and Chase charged past. Chase stopped beside a Poochyena -this one was not black and didn't have glowing red eyes thank gods- who seemed hesitant to attack while Morana charged right forward, leaping at the Mightyena.

The larger Dark Type snapped its maw at her, and she accepted the grazing hit in her shoulder as she slammed into the creature's head. Electricity exploded from her body, coursing into the Mightyena's. As Morana was thrown aside by the larger canine's thrashing, she clawed at its leg, and both of them tumbled to the ground.

Chase opened his mouth and spewed forth a stream of flames at the Mightyena and Morana. The Houndour staggered to her feet, her fur absorbing the fire harmlessly, as the Mightyena burned and howled. She moved to, but could not finish it off before a Poochyena slammed into her, hard. She leaped at it, tackling it to the ground, and the two grappled furiously, violently, with Morana until she finally got her mouth around its throat and bit down with fire leaking through her teeth.

The main body of the Poochyenas had changed their course from the Fishtank towards the barrier where they knew Erilyn to be. The Eevee was terrified of them coming after him, so naturally they'd come after him in his nightmare vision. The few Poochyenas guarding the human's body abandoned their post to join them.

Zori & Kai & Luna & Mandarin

Zori flicked her tail, the tip brushing gently over Cress' scales in a silent note of thanks. Her golden eyes gleamed with confidence, taking comfort in the fact that the pack was beginning to falter. Hopefully it wouldn't be long before the Eevee clinging to her fur would come to his senses. She could only imagine how scared he must be at that moment...
Luna glanced back at the her captain, and she nodded slightly, still smoothing the frightened Eevee's fur with gentle licks across the top of his head.
"It's alright~ Hush, now... You're safe with us. Nothing's going to hurt you..." She soothed, glancing at Cress out of the corner of her eyes. 'Milotic are known for bringing peace, aren't they...? Something tells me that skill would come in handy, in this nightmare of a place.'

Luna, getting the picture rather quickly, turned and ran at one of the Poochyena, leaping onto it's back and sending both Pokemon tumbling into the sand. With a sharp burst of intense flames, the Marowak's Blast Burn had lit the Dark-type's fur in flames, and it fled, howling in pain and fear.
Kaiyou frowned calmly, watching. As a Poochyena moved to run past him, however, the Marshtomp growled, kicking it hard in the ribs. It yelped in shock, not having noticed the Water-type, and bared it's teeth, before it was promptly knocked out of commission with another Low Kick.
Kai then proceeded off to help the others with the remaining Poochyena.
Mandarin, being almost entirely useless in the situation, squealed in terror, Teleporting with a flash to the side as a Poochyena darted past her. She shot a Magical Leaf into the back of it's skull, and it dropped down into the dust, leaving Rin standing there awkwardly, looking rather uncomfortable at being in a battle full of Pokemon she was next to useless against.

Morana && Crescendo && Chase && Erilyn

Crescendo moved circles around Zori and the eevee in a tight circle, bending down once to nudge the eevee's tail with his nose, crying out a low, gentle note. The Milotic winced as one, then another Poochyena slammed themselves against his barrier, until all four were there, most of them seeming intent on getting to the Eevee within. Crescendo rose up, and slammed his head down on a Poochyena, opening up the barrier to allow the attack to hit. The dark type flew away with a yelp and Cress turned to blow a powerful stream of water at another, knocking it back. He quickly retreated back under his barrier as the Poochyenas recovered and the other fighters (Presumably) came to take care of them.

Erilyn's crying had come down to a low whimpering, and he raised his head slightly, allowing himself to peek through to the battle around him. His eyes widened at the sight of the Guildmembers bravely fighting off the Poochyenas. There were only a few left! They can drive the dark types away! He grasped onto Zori's every word, allowing himself to hope.

The eevee yelped and winced as a small form was slammed against the barrier, and then slowly slid down it to rest at its feet.

Morana gasped as the breath was knocked out of her, and she struggled to get back onto her feet as the Mightyena, half-charred, advanced on her. There was a nasty gash down her side, going along a bone ridge on her back, blood matting the fur. Behind the Mightyena Chase was running as fast as he could towards the scene, but a poochyena tackling him from the side ended his charge as the two tumbled to the ground, claws and fangs dug deep into each others flesh.

Morana whimpered as she staggered to her feet, her legs shaking with exhaustion and weakness from her wounds. Before her was a suddenly flash of colour, black and pink, and with a yelp she tumbled back to the ground, lying against the barrier.

To Erilyn, he watched Morana with eyes wide, for he saw not the young Houndour, but another Pokemon from his memories. From Morana burst forth the image of another Houndour, first see-through and ghostly but quickly solidifying. This houndour latched herself onto the surprised Mightyena's face, raking and biting relentlessly.

A bolt of lightning came down from the sky, striking the Mightyena dead-on just as the Houndour leaped off and out of danger. With a painful howl, the Mightyena went down, and the Houndour quickly finished it off. A yellow and blue blur flashed past, knocking the Poochyena off of Chase. The two new arrivals charged in at the barrier, and the Poochyenas yelped, fleeing in fear.

User ImageUser Image
Shard && Valkist

When everything suddenly cleared, there stood the Houndour and a Manectric. Though they had just attacked and killed several of the enemies, their maw and paws were free of blood, and they seemed to give off light in the dreary darkness of the nightmare. And in fact, the area seemed to come to life slightly, the grass a little less withered, the trees a bit softer in their posture, the sun just a little less bleak...

The Houndour stepped forward towards Zori, walking through Crescendo's barrier as if it didn't exist, to the Milotic's alarm.

"...Mommy? Daddy?" Erilyn whispered, raising his head and staring up at the Houndour, eyes full of love and respect. That's right, Shard and Valkist had saved him that day.

...that day? It's already happened...?

The Houndour bent down and touched her nose to the shiny eevee's, closing her eyes and nuzzling him affectionately.

"Zero, let it go..." Shard whispered, as Valkist padded over to her side, deftly jumping over Crescendo's bulk. "Remember son? You promised that you wouldn't let the past rule you..."

The eevee's mind reeled as memories -more than fifteen year's worth- rushed into his mind. Joining the Houndour pack, meeting Zosee, adventuring, evolving...he took his new name to leave this all behind...

User Image
Zero

Suddenly, the image of the Houndour and the Manectric melted away, as if they were made of smoke in a strong wind. Above them the gloom of the sky dispersed, the Sun flaring to life and burning away the darkness. And the small Shiny Eevee Zori was holding close was suddenly much bigger, and no longer an Eevee. The Glaceon took a step back from Zori, a little too big for the cuddled position now, and looked around to view everyone around him.

"Ah, thank you...Zori. And everyone." He murmured gratefully, dipping his head. He was unsure of what had happened, but he knew that this wasn't a regular nightmare, and the guildmembers had saved him.

Morana limped up to him, helped by Chase, eyes wide.

"Z-Zero? That was you all along?" She whispered, and then turned to stare at where her parents had materialized. So that was her mother before evolution huh...?

Zero nodded, bent down and nuzzled Morana as Crescendo slithered over to her side and rested his head against hers, glowing slightly. Her wounds began to mend.

"Tell me what's going on-" Zero's words were cut off as the scenery began to change once again around them.

...Zori?

The world began to reform itself, shadows stretching high into the sky. The shadows became walls and a ceiling, continuing to shift and twist until they became solid plans of old, darkened wood. A dark chandelier hung from the ceiling, it's shadow casting eerie patterns on the walls. Despite this source of light, the room was dark, as if everything had been covered in a wave of shadow. It was dead silent; no sound seemed to carry in this dusty old room, muffled by the thick layer of dust that covered every surface in sight. It was as though the owner of the house had simply left everything to decay, as though they had lost the will to take care of what was theirs... but the room was not all that had become forgotten.

A tiny shadow stumbled forward, dull silver swirls covering her fur. Her eyes were large, and brilliant gold in colour. A baby Eevee, crawling into the center of the room, and staring around her, looking lost. She lout of a quiet, hoarse wail of loneliness, the sound echoing throughout the room. Tears formed at the corners of her eyes, dripping down and pooling on the dusty floor. She cried out again, watching the corners of the room for something. When nothing answered, she got up again, and stumbled onward.

Ducking through an old, dark doorframe, the little Eevee sneezed, pausing to stare at her nose with an innocent, surprised expression. Then, realizing that this was a normal action, she continued on. She began to run, stumbling clusmily as she did so, as her tiny, stubby legs were not made for running.

A low, mournful wail echoed through the hall, and the Eevee froze, her ears pricked at the sound. She lout of a shrill, heart-breaking cry in response, and stumbled toward the source of the wailing, picking up speed again. The source made her sad, but the source of the voice was where she was headed.

As she rounded the corner, the tiny Eevee slowed again, crawling meekly forward. A small lanturn sat in the center of the room, burning brightly, and still full of oil. The Eevee let out a hesitant squeak, and another shadow, in the corner of the room, stirred. It lifted it's head, and moved closer. As it stepped into the light, it became obvious what it was. A dark grey Vaporeon, with dull silver swirls wrapping across it's amphibious skin. It's bright eyes were dull with loss and illness, and it staggered forward.

"Z-Zori..." She croaked hoarsely to her daughter, and the tiny Eevee scrambled forward, running up to her mother.

"Mamaaaa!" She wailed frightfully, clinging to her mother's leg, and burying her face against her cool, slick skin. She had been so scared! Why had Mother left her alone in that horrid room?! It was scary there! She wanted to stay with Mother!

The Vaporeon stiffened, and her eyes suddenly gleamed with confusion and hurt, watching her daughter as though she was an untrustworthy stranger. She pushed the Eevee away, and Zori whimpered unhappily; the monster was back. Why couldn't Mother stay?! Why did the monster have to come every time her mother did!? "Mama! No goooo!" She screamed pleadingly, but the Vaporeon seemed not to her the desperate cry.

Zori whined, flattening her ears as she stepped meekly backward, watching in terror as the Vaporeon's look of confusion changed to an expression of pure malice and anger. She lunged at Zori, letting out a shrill, mindless battlecry, and the Eevee scampered hurriedly out of the way The Water-type's paws instead struck the lantern, knocking it aside, and the oil spilled out across the floor, the glass case shattering into tiny shards. The fire atop the deivce met with the oil, and with a series of sparks, the whole pool of oil was up in flames. The dry, wooden building began to burn with it, the fire spreading swiftly across the walls and floor.

The Eevee, and raced from the room, the bright, orange glow enveloping everything. Thick, dark smoke spread at insane speeds, filling the corridor as the young Eevee scrambled to escape. As a wall of smoke blew over her tiny, dark-furred form, she was lost from sight, and everything became dark. The faint sounds of crackling flames threatened to come ever closer, though momentarily drowned by the ear-splitting crash of the first room collapsing under the force of the spreading fire.

The once peaceful, if not dark and poorly kept house had become a burning deathtrap, and Zori was terrified, scrambling inside a nearby linen closet to hide. She whimpered in fear, squeezing her eyes tightly shut as she squirmed to the back of it, hidden behind various towels and blankets.

Kai & Luna & Mandarin

Kaiyou stood up in the center of a large room. A grand staircase led up to the second floor, and a large hall led to the lower half of the building. "...Where are we?" He asked, looking rather disgruntled to be thrown into yet another place that wasn't home.

"Looks like an old house. Certainly needs a good dusting, though." Luna noted, lifting up a foot to find her footprint clearly marked in the dust. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Ugh, that's u-"

Luna's voice was sharply cut off by the source of a terrified scream, and her eyes widened in horror. "THAT'S ZORI!" She informed her group, clearly started by the fear in the voice that had called. It was much higher-pitched than usual, but there was no mistaking her captain's cry. "Wherever we are... I think it has something to do with her. She's the only one of us missing. We've got to find her if we want to get out of here."

Mandarin nodded sharply, and Teleported to the top of the staircase, glancing in either direction. She glanced down to the right, pausing for a few moments to ensure she didn't see anything down that hall. Then, as she turned to the left, she reeled in shock, staggering backward. "FIRE!" She screamed, Teleporting sharply back to the main group just in time, as a burning piece of timber fell through the ceiling, and crashed into the floor.

The flames began to spread, and thick, black smoke began to rise, gathering around the corners of the ceiling.

"This must be part of Zori's nightmare!" Kai exclaimed, blinking in shock.

"Then where's Zori?!" Rin asked, worried for the sake of her friend. "If this is her nightmare, she could be in really big trouble!"

"Well we can't find her if we're being burned alive looking. We've got to get this fire out before we do anything, and judging by the fact that part of the ceiling just caved in, it's been burning too long for Kai to just squirt it out with a Water Gun." Luna noted, holding up a hand to silence the rest of her team. "Not only that, but it means that most of the fire is probably inside the walls. ...No, we can't physically fight the fire ourselves; it's too dangerous. We need a better plan."

As she fell silent, Kai glanced around the room, and blinked in surprise, his expression changing to one of determination. "We'll use our surroundings to our advantage, then! There's plumbing in every house, right? If we can break the pipes inside the walls, then the water gushing out will put out the fire!" The Marshtomp announced, curling his thick, short fingers into a fist.

"Right, let's get this done, and find Zori!"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Zori needs to be saved, but before you can reach the closet she's hiding in, you have to take out the fire, or it won't be safe!

There are TEN pipes in total, hidden in the walls and floor in the house. There's only one major pipe going through each room of the house, so you'll only be able to take out ONE PIPE PER POST.

Once all ten pipes are broken, you have to find Zori.

You may post as many times as you like this turn, but NO DOUBLE POSTING.

Pluto && Thanatos

When they arrived at the house, Pluto immediately fell into a violent coughing fit before anyone had even spotted the fire. He could smell the smoke, being much more sensitive to it than anyone else. Thanatos examined the building around him, rushing up through the ceiling before immediately coming back down, his face grim, moments before Rin screamed "Fire!"

The Ghost cast his gaze around at the group, spotting Crescendo curled up around a Houndour. Thanatos floated over towards him, tapping the Milotic on the shoulder and pointed back to Pluto, who's coughing wasn't stopping. Pluto was weakened by the lack of sun, and the stress of this entire situation isn't helping. Add fire to the mix...

Morana && Crescendo && Chase && Zero

Crescendo looked up and then to where the Gengar was pointing. Without hesitation he slithered across the dry wood floor towards the Leafeon, and circled the grass type, breathing out a thin layer of water to cover Pluto. The Leafeon's coughing subsided, and he stood there, panting hard through the water that covered him.

Zero winced at the mention of fire, and could literally feel the heat battling his inner ice. Zori's somewhere in here; she was missing, and her Teammates seemed to recognize the scream. Zori had helped him through his nightmare; there was nothing he could do to help her through hers, at least not right now.

Chase ran up to Team Stormcloud, quickly explaining: "The fire doesn't affect me or Morana. We'll go ahead now and try and find your captain."

After Morana talked with Zero for a second, she bounded up to Chase's side and the two fire-types charged up the staircase, and turned sharply right, jumping over fallen debris.

Behind them Zero joined Crescendo who constantly kept an Aqua Ring active on the frail Leafeon as Thanatos lead the way. They went down the Main hall, Zero erecting a barrier in an attempt to keep the heat away from himself. The Ghost tested the first door on their right, found it locked, and thrust his arm into the wood. Nothing happened for a moment, and then the door cracked, fell apart, and blew away as dust.

Fire roared out to greet them, the ceiling having collapsed and the burning wood from belong haven fallen down and set this room alight. Zero cried out in surprise, stumbling back, his barrier breaking. Crescendo immediately moved forward, through Thanatos, to shield both Pluto and Zero from the flames with his own body. His wet amphibious skin began to dry and crack quickly, but he turned and began to pour a constant stream of water down his side from his mouth, fighting off the fire.

Thanatos floated into the room, grimacing from the heat. He ducked down under the floor, searching...searching...there! He passed through a layer of steel to find himself in a thick pipe filled with water under high pressure.

A moment later the wall opposite Crescendo burst open with a flood of water, the pressure launching the liquid through the entire room to hit even the doorway. The room was suddenly filled with loud hissing and steam, the acrid smell of smoke becoming stronger. With a weak cough, Zero staggered to his feet and erected a barrier around them, pushing out the smoke.

The water gushing out from the pipes soon killed even the small glowing embers in the room, flooding the floor with half a foot of water. Thanatos looked up to the broken ceiling above, where falling debris was still coming down, and steered their group clear of the hole.

"Stay here." He told them, and floated up to deal with the fire above.

---

Morana crawled under a large piece of debris that had fallen from the roof of the house. She dragged herself through, helping Chase behind her. That...was a close one. The entire thing had collapsed right on them, but they were right under a small gap. Thank Arceus.

They finally squirmed their way on top of the burning debris. Neither of them were worried by the inferno raging about them, as each of their fur harmlessly absorbed the fire, powering themselves further. To the side was a room, the door having burned away already, and Chase carefully stepped into it. It was the first room they've seen so far and it was as good of a place as any to start searching.

"Zori...!?" he called out, and behind him Morana stepped up to his side. They cautiously stepped forward, examining the room. Chase flinched and took a step back as felt something sharp against his paw. Bending down, he saw twisted, half-melted shards of glass.

((One Pipe down. Morana and Chase are in the room where the fire started, and if you want Zori's mother to still be there to go insane over them, go for it.))

Imiti and Celsus looked around, realizing that they were completely useless here. Imiti hadn't truly exerted himself in years, and Celsus...hadn't evolved yet. They simply found a spot where the fire wasn't and rested there.

Zori

The frightened Eevee squirmed uncomfortably, the temperature in the closet rising dramatically as the fire neared.
She whimpered in fear. The closet was so hot! It made her paws all sweaty... Her chest felt tight; it was tricky breathing in here...
Where was Mother? She'd always saved her before...
She curled up into a tight little ball, letting out a quiet, shrill cry of terror.

Kai & Luna & Mandarin

Kaiyou left with the others, heading for a room near the end of the hall. His thick, moist skin was surprisingly heat resistant, and his ability to navigate with his natural sonar helped him to avoid any weak points in the floor. With the structure of the building compromised by flames, it would be a bad idea to miss a step.
Part of the wall crumbled away in front of him, and he blasted it with Hydro Pump, the water gushing into the inner frame of the wall, and dampening the surface enough that he was sure it would not burn easily again. He didn't have long to find a pipe in the wall, but he felt sure he could do it.
He stepped back, drawing back an arm, and curling his fingers into a fist. Swirls of super-cooled air twirled around his fist, shards of ice forming on the surface of his skin. He punched, his hand breaking through the wall with ease. His hand gripped something round and smooth in the wall, and he pulled with all his might, tearing part of the pipe from the wall.
Water gushed outward, spraying him in the face, and the Marshtomp sputtered in surprise, before his face split into a determined grin.
The pipes were poorly kept, and probably clogged in several places, causing the water pressure before the clogs to skyrocket. They might not have to break all the pipes to put out the fire.

As Morana and Chase stepped through the burning debris, it became obvious that they were not alone.
A dark gray Vaporeon stepped out to face the two Fire-type's, swirls of dull silver barely showing through the thick layer of ashes that had clung to her body. She bared her teeth in fury, and her body turned to pure water, the liquid-formed Pokemon sliding swiftly toward the pair. A Muddy Water attack rose up behind her, the tidal wave of water about to crash down over their heads. If they could lure the angry water-type elsewhere, her attacks might put out part of the fire...
