I've always made sure that my vampire deck never contains well............alot of vampires. They cost too much and half the time their abilities suck. Use Mephidross to turn some decent non vampire creatures into vampires that way you can quickly get some stuff out on the board, and then later give them a pump up ability.

Vampire decks are super easy to make now - cookie-cutter even. Almost all old vampires aren't really worth their cost, but the newer ones are pretty sweet creatures. You can make a decent aggro. creature deck using mostly common vampires, then top it off with a couple Captivating Vampires and Feast of Bloods for board control. Pulse Tracker x4 Bloodthrone Vampire x4 Visera Seer x4 Child of Night x4 Vampire Nighthawk x4 Captivating Vampire x4 Feast of Blood x4 Sign in Blood x4 Doomblade x4 Reassembling Skeleton x4 Disentomb x4 Swamp x20 This would be a pretty straightforward, easy to build and affordable Vampire deck.
