What were the criteria? Australia gets a down-grade from me because of their uppity attempt to censor the Internet for everyone in the country.

I'm sad that Ireland is last. I would of expected a bit higher. And a larger gap between US and Japan.

the list had 100 countries, so 17th isn't last place, its near the top. the criteria was health, education, quality of living and some economic and political stuff.

Norway wins to me.
A rather high Atheist community with one of the lowest crime rates, joblessness rates, and a high intelligence rate. It's expensive, but I'd imagine worth it. It's my blood.. I want to go back.

I plan to go to Norway one day. Probably just a visit. But I would be eternally happy if I could live there.

Mirdautas Vras I plan to go to Norway one day. Probably just a visit. But I would be eternally happy if I could live there. I'll second that. My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to Finland, which is nice as it has made the top of this list, hah. Perhaps we'll see each other in that region. Good food I suspect. And sweaters. The sweaters.
