With Anwar away on his quest Zarha spent most of her time around the den caring for her new siblings or providing relief for her mother by taking Mollie's share of the hunting. When Anwar returned she wanted to be an even better banu than he remembered. While she relished the opportunity to hunt side by side with her mother, she performed domestic chores with fatalistic apathy. The den needed to be cleaned, the cubs needed to be bathed, but Zarha took little pleasure in these matters.
Today Zarha was left to watch the cubs while her mother and Fila went hunting. Though she felt disappointed at being left behind at least playing with the cubs gave her an opportunity to be creative. She made up a game and sent them off to play it while she lay in the shade and kept watch. Ah, it made her proud to see her younger brothers and sisters enjoying her game. Her paws-off style of parenting seemed to be working just fine.

Oh, Warisha quite enjoyed this game. She enjoyed it a lot. While she had never heard of it before, it was clearly something that had been around for eons - it was too fun to have just been made up, and Zarha was totally trustworthy! The little cub could play all day...well, she would have, had she not tripped over her own paws, tumbling down and landing on her paw in an awkward way.
Yowling unhappily, Warisha whined and stumbled back to her feet, trying to stand on all fours without standing on her apparently injured paw. You can imagine how that went. Soon the pain started to subside, but that didn't seem to register with her. She was hurt! Injured, Even! With a very exaggerated limp like any other child, she limped her way towards Zarha.
"Sisteeeeer~" The cub whined pathetically, limping close and trying to push her way into cuddling up to her darker sibling's chest. "My paw huuuuurts~"

When Warisha yowled Zarha's ears pricked. She surveyed the situation leisurely with her head on her paws, but when all seemed well she lost interest. That is, until she spotted Warisha limping her way like a wounded gazelle. She lifted her head, her expression neutral. Zarha was never expressive unless she wanted to be. "Oh? Let me see."
She gently nudged Warisha away from her chest and placed a paw on her backside to keep her from fidgeting, she hoped. Inside Zarha wasn't too worried about Warisha's boo-boo. If anything was broken she would be screaming her little lungs out.

The tan cub whimpered a bit when her sister refused to cuddle, and even worse when she was trapped! Pouting, the little cub lay flat on her stomach under her elder Sister's paw, she had no choice but to let Zarha take a look. There was nothing horribly wrong of course; at worst there was a small pebble stuck between the pads, but other than that it was probably just the surprise of having stumbled. Still, it was the most pain she had yet to experience in her very short life. What if... The young one gasped.
"A-am I gunna die?!" Warisha asked, suddenly very, very worried about this possibility. She was so young! Her paw hurt so bad! What if it was some sort of bad, vile thing?! Her sister would know. Her sisters were smart! Wide green eyes were turned up to stare hard at Zarha, waiting in anticipation for an answer.

Zarha quickly spotted the problem, a small pebble lodged between the cub's paws. The problem would be easily taken care of if she could convince Warisha to sit still. She looked at her baby sister, her mouth an 'O' of surprise. "Oh, yes, I'm afraid this is quite fatal. There's only one hope for you, so listen carefully. I need you to close your eyes and sit perfectly still. Remember, don't open your eyes until I say. Understand?"

If it were at all possible, Warisha's eyes opened even wider than they had been. Fatal?! It was?! She was going to die?! Oh dear! Ohdearohdearohdear...she didn't want to die! Not with everything she had yet to do in this world! A morbid train of thought for such a young girl. She was about go to into full blown hysterics when she realized that Zarha had an option for her. Her olive eyes were about to brim with tears, and she nodded vigorously.
"O-Okay...!" The gullible cub squeezed her watery eyes shut and went completely still, even going so far as to try and not breathe. Zarha was so smart, she had to know how to fix it!

When she saw how upset Warisha became she felt a little bad for playing a trick on her. Sometimes she forgot how gullible cubs could be. She certainly wasn't gullible at that age. Vu said Zarha took after her grandmother; maybe that was where her intelligence came from.
Zarha placed her paw on Warisha's forehead and commanded in a powerful voice, "Spirits! Come to my aid and heal my sister!"
With Warisha holding still, Zarha spread her toes apart and deftly removed the pebble with a flick of her claw. Then she whistled softly and blew over Warisha's head, ruffling her curly mane. She released her and proclaimed, "It is done! The spirits have saved you!"

Warisha was completely fooled.
She felt the 'spirits' move her paw for her and take out the thing causing her pain and rush past her like a generous wind. Since Zarha's involvement, her 'Fatal Injury' seemed a thing of the past. She was completely healed! Once released, Warisha's olive eyes flew open, blinking in bafflement for a moment or two.
"I'm..." She started, her eyes still as wide as saucers. "YAY!" The cub shrieked out in pure joy, leaping to her feet and hopping her weight from one front paw to the other. It was gone! She was healed! "Thank you, Spirits!" Warisha said happily, now 'dancing' in a little circle in front of her sister.
Oh! Her sister!
With a bit of a skid, the cub sat down suddenly, staring in wide-eyed awe at her apparently powerful sister. "You SAVED me!" The complete adoration in her young eyes meant that poor Zarha had a diehard fan forever. "You're so cool!"

Zarha smiled modestly and shrugged. "Well, I can't disagree."
Let's see Afsar try and pull that off. Her sister might be a seer, but she had no imagination and no daring. Zarha knew how to put on a good act. Being a good actress was key to success in this pride. A female needed to know how to play games. She ruffled Warisha's mane. "Now, go play with your brothers and sisters."

Zarha was her Hero now. Her Saviour. Her Goddess. And even more than that, her sister! Warisha just stared at her with pure adoration, content to do so for a little while longer. But, when her paw came down on her head, the cub started to purr, nuzzling up into the mighty healing paw of her mighty and perfect sister.
"Kaaaaay~" She purred out, wiggling from under Zarha's grasp to waddle closer and lick her sister's cheek. Then, with a happy bounce to her now perfectly healed paw, she bounded back to her siblings to continue on with the game.
