It seems like it's been forever ago since I was a kid at summer camp! Now we get to be adults at camp, and not have to deal with mosquitoes and poison ivy! xd

Or kids in your cabin who act like jerks for no reason. scream That experience (between fourth and fifth grade) was enough to turn me off from camp (and it was church camp, no less!) until I finally started going to youth camp in high school. Youth-group camps (Student Life Camp, actually) were MUCH better. xp

I never went to church camp as a kid. But, actually, I never really had any trouble with the other campers. We got along well enough. Then again, when we arrived at camp, no one knew each other, so there weren't any cliques to keep me excluded from the fun. There was something immensely liberating about being on my own at camp, and not knowing a single person upon my arriving. It was like I was being given a blank slate, and being told that I had another chance to achieve acceptance in the social order.
I sent out an announcement for camp. heart Hopefully we will have several people show up. Btw, don't hesitate to take part in any of the games. The only stipulation for counselors is that you can't win your own games. I'm probably going to stick around for another half hour. The activity rarely picks up on the night the event is opened.

Yeah...I'm probably going to get offline in a few minutes because I'm (believe it or not) getting sleepy. I'm knitting between posts right now, and I'm REALLY having to watch myself to keep from making mistakes because my mind wants to shut down. sweatdrop

Nighty-night! See you sometime tomorrow! (Both my parents are working, so I'll be home alone, at least while my dad isn't in his workshop. But I might venture out to a thrift store or a Burke's Outlet or something to see if I can find some more cheap costume pieces, or just anything else that catches my fancy. We might go out tomorrow night if we have the money, but nothing's been set in stone.) Anyway, have a great night! See you (well, here, anyway) tomorrow!
I am going to go put on a fancy, festive "It's my birthday" outfit! heart

I don't think I am dressed quite appropriately for camp. wink Camp would be appropriate though considering my husband just got a job at one....anyway! Who is going to join what bunk?! smile

Hey Galatea! heart I'm glad you could make it! I didn't know that your hubby is working at a camp now.
You can pick any bunk that you want as long as it's not already being used by someone else. You can be as silly or serious as you want. biggrin

But we all know that Vetus Gaianus throws the best events EVER! Thanks to you. heart biggrin And I can't believe I am about to say this but I am excited for school. hehe. I am taking French this year.

@Kiera - Thanks! heart I try to make sure that everyone has as much fun here as possible, so I'm glad that you enjoy these events. biggrin Good luck with French! I only studied it one for one semester, so I barely know any at all. lol
