For anyone who may not have already heard... Quote: “This morning, August 12, 2010 at approximately 8 AM ET, Isaac Bonewits passed away peacefully in his sleep. All his brothers and sisters arrived at his side last night. His family and friends surround him now.” sourceI know this is a huge loss for some, as Bonewits have been a very influential member of the (neo)Pagan community, for many years.

Ah man sad I really enjoy his writings. I didn't know he just passed. Thanks for posting this...at least it was peaceful for him. I'm sure his ceremony was beautiful.

It was totally weird seeing his name on wiki's "recent deaths".

When I heard of his passing I picked up a few of his books. He had an amazing view and impact on the community at large with his research of early Wicca and in dispelling some of the myths that surround us.
crying May you always be remembered and your songs sung for many years to come.

Yea, I remember getting an email about that...
Why is everyone so sad? Death isn't a sad thing. No, he's not here anymore. But shouldn't everyone be happy he isn't suffering?

mechanical kitsy But shouldn't everyone be happy he isn't suffering? I'm sure most people are happy he isn't suffering. I don't think that changes the feelings of loss though.
