Is there actually a game involved or is it just comics and stickers so far?

Lea Fealith Is there actually a game involved or is it just comics and stickers so far? I'm so frustrated by the game, it was so slow and I kept dying and so I gave up and bought the items... I guess this is what happens when you don't have oodles of spare time anymore. But I don't know, it just didn't seem to keep me engaged...

Yeah, it was neat, but very time consuming and too shallow for replays. Once you do it once or twice you know everything that's going to happen.

I actually like it. Too much like Oregon Trail to be left unplayed while at work. I have yet to beat it, though. Bad luck. I make it to just before the demigod and die. I can see it in full on the map before everyone starves. sad

I can see it in full on the map before everyone starves. sad The grunny is the easiest one (I actually won with only one death I think), followed by Sam, then Edward, Louie and Carl is the hardest. Stock up on lots of ammo, and you can take the short cuts if you stock up on enough food beforehand. Note that these are tips from someone who's only bothered to win once. rofl But they were from a friend and they helped me to get through that one time! ^.^

This is pretty fun, yeah.
See, I never played Oregon Trail. Don't know how that happened. Maybe I'm too young. Maybe I'm too old. Maybe our school just didn't get it.
Point is, I like it.

I've never played oregon trail either. I've played Yukon Trail and Amazon Trail but never Oregon trail. Funny how that happened.

I haven't tried with the grunny yet. I got closer with Edmund than Sam, but there's not much difference; I could see the demigod both times. xP Since it's a holiday weekend, I'll prob'ly beat it sometime soon. Calls are coming in very slow at work.
Also, I feel old. The only Trail game I played was Oregon.

Oh my Gawd. Diedrich is much easier. I finished with a full load of food, 150 spare ammo, 275 loot, and another crewmember alive. mrgreen
Also, I think I'd do better if I killed people off in the beginning. In my losses, I usually had 3 crewmembers alive with me in the end and ran out of food and ammo keeping them fed. I think I can win with Edmund and Sam now. >>;;

Diedrich is indeed much easier. I thought Edmund would be the easiest but he really wasn't. And yes, letting a crew member or two die early really helps.
Have you been taking any of the shortcuts?

Actually, I almost always take the shortcuts. First run I didn't (and didn't do well), and second run I made it a tiny bit further. I usually use Kestrel, Fast Pace, Average Rations, and buy around 3/4+ ammo w/ loot on startup, and as much food as I can carry otherwise.
Thanks, shells. whee It's from SDPlus #189 Alanar. He's cheap and gives a cooler-looking soot effect that Masqerade. Looks evil on SIN skin.
