Agh, that sucks. D= I have no idea what my band would do without band camp...we'd be really bad. Do you know why it was canceled?

Saiuu Sad crying my school's band camp was cancelled as well due to lack of participants. A lack of participants? I thought it was required for everyone who wanted to do marching band. Unless your band program was canceled as well?

I don't know about your
school, but at mine, it's
optional to be in marching band.
So, if you want to be in concert
band, you aren't required to
march. (I say this only
because some schools require
you to do marching band if
you are in concert band)
So, perhaps the band program
wasn't canceled, just the
marching portion.

I know why it was canceled. The head band director quit, and one of the assistant directors moved to California, so we're two directors short. Everyone was required to go and it happened every year. It wasn't really a camp, it was more of going up to the school in the morning every day for two weeks. We came back around 4:00 in the afternoon. But I was really looking forward to being able to go to band again. I'm just glad school starts August 23.

no matter the cause. our rival school didnt have one because of a participation problem so our county is forcing the kids to at least do parades which sucks because than they dont care and it sounds bad on there part im glad we still get enough people somehow
