I sooooooooo can't wait to see this movie, it looks so good, and it's about Gay Cowboys! ^^ I have heard about what's happening in America though... how many people can't see this movie because their cinema has band it?

I didn't even know a movie like that was coming out! eek I'd have to check my theater to see if there's any news on that. They shouldn't ban it though, stupid people discriminating against gays/bis -_-
My friend's going to be pissed. She loves cowboys/horses/etc, and despises gays.

It's Heath Legers new movie. I don't remember who the other actor is though. sweatdrop The people on a review show here in Australia (There's two of them, and theyr old, and very hard to please when it comes to movies)both gave it five stars out of five! I was sooooooo shocked, I thought they're give it less because of how picky they are... which hopfully means it's really good.

hehehe i just knew this would come up. The stupid movie is a limited cinema release, as was Doom and Sin City, So my cinema wont be getting it for ages, if at all. (crosses fingers)
The other actor you were looking for was Jake Gyllenhaall, star of Day After Tomorrow.
And as for it not being shown by some cinemas, those are the cinemas in the white states, where its like a time warp back to the early fifties in morals and equalities. But thats no shock to me.
In a way its better cause you just know people are going to wanna see it more now. rolleyes humans.
As for that movie show...i think i know the one, normally screened on the abc or sbs...cant remember. They are a bit fussy but you got to remember this is a book translation so they normally go easier on them and plus i think they are slightly biased to those films...the romance ones...
They hate action and horror...not to mention out of left field movie...i cant wait to see what they are ganna say about QT and RR new 2 films in 1 with intermission grind house horror.

So did I... I'm just surprised it didn't pop up before I had to start the thread. ^^
Darwin (Which is where I live) Doesn't start showing it until the 31st of Jan... so I've got to wait a bit longer... so not fair, but hopefully it'll be worth it. ^^
And I was talking about the people on ABC, they're ten times harder to please then the people on SBS, I mean, come on, the people on ABC gave Constantine(Sp?) a 1. 1! And it was such a good movie! So yeah... anything they give a five to is worth seeing, just to see why the most pickiest movie show people gave it such a high rating.

Saw Brokeback Mountain. I'd already read the short story that it was based on and I spent most of the movie cringing and waiting for the end. That and listening for my favorite quote. I got both and cried like a little girl.

It's playing in a theater nearby my house, but there's no way in hell I'd be able to go watch it without my parents and/or siblings disowning me *chews on teddy bear*
When I'm older and live by myself with all my shounen-ai/yaoi goodness, I'll buy a DvD or something off Ebay and watch it. xd

Never read the short story. Do you know where I'd be able to find a copy of it on the net?

*is laughing hysterically* So me and my mom are watching Access Hollywood, and a commercial comes up for Brokeback Mountain. So I start rambling on and on about how I want to see it and how I don't care if it's about gay guys *cough* and how it's golden globe material and what not. My mom despises girly gay guys, she doesn't particularly mind the guy....gay guys I guess. But she thinks it's stupid that there's a movie like that, and thinks everyone will think she's crazy if she takes me to see an R movie with Gay guys.
So we comprimised and she told me she'd buy me the DvD and give it to me when I'm older rofl Ah..I love my mother.
Oh and for those that want to know where the story came from..... Close range : Wyoming stories by Proulx, Annie (taken from my local library catalog. I reserved it already >_O)
