Pluto && Ethan && Sherman
The sunlight was strong that day, streaming through the stained-glass windows of the royal library. Not a cloud marred the blue sky and the wind was gentle.
Next to one of the windows, on top of a cushion, was curled a small eevee. He was of normal colouring, brown and tan, unusual in the mix of different species that dwelled within the Kingdom. Around his neck hung a thin silver chain, at the end of which it twined around a large clear crystal, within which was suspended a shard of rock covered in moss.
The eevee was lying over a book, reading it intently, turning the pages every once in a while. One paw constantly played with the Charm around his neck, the item that was key to his chosen evolution.
The Library was empty that day, with only a few others quietly sitting and going through their books. So when a Salamence and Arcanine pushed open the door, it creaked and echoed loudly through the room. They padded alongside each other, careful to keep quiet as to not disturb the peace, but both of them made click-clack noises as their claws scraped against the ground with each step.
The eevee looked up as the pair approached, and sat up straight, holding himself with pride.
"Yes?" The eevee asked quietly, his dark brown eyes darting between the Arcanine and the scarred Salamence.
"Pluto, you know of the disappearances lately?" The Arcanine asked. The Eevee named Pluto nodded his head, flicking an ear in interest.
"We just came from the bulletin board. A young Chikorita went missing and a note was left behind, claiming that the one who took her is also behind the numerous disappearances." The Salamence explained, looking over to the Arcanine who nodded in affirmation.
"Officer Magnezone and the Psychic department managed to track down where the note came from." The Arcanine continued slowly. Pluto stared at the both of them curiously.
"What does this have to do with me...?" The eevee asked. "Surely you do not mean for us to go? I am not a fighter Ethan, Sherman. You two know that."
The Arcanine named Ethan shook his head.
"We thought the award the Chikorita's fiance posted would interest you." He told Pluto, and then dug a paw into the Leather bag he wore at his side, pulling out a sheet of paper. Pluto's eyes widened; it was a Mission Sheet. He took it carefully with a paw and smoothed it out in front of him, reading it:
Client: Galen Azalea the Bulbasaur
Request:
"Please! They've taken my love, Iria! I'd do anything to get her back! There's this thing that's been passed down my family for several generations, a plate of Arceus himself! If you bring my Iria back safely, the Meadow Plate is yours!"

The Arcanine and Salamence watched as the Eevee's ears perked up in interest. After finishing reading the mission Pluto looked up at his two friends, his face thoughtful.
"Do you think it's real?" He asked, a rare hint of excitement in his voice.
"We don't know. I thought it'd be good if you came with us to talk to this Galen. You'll have a chance to inspect the plate as well." Sherman offered, and Pluto thought over it before nodding.
"Yes, I would like to do that." He carefully picked up a bookmark from his side and placed it in the middle of his page. He left the book where it was -the bookmark was the seal of Eclipse, no one else would bother it- and walked off his cushion onto Ethan's back. After making sure the eevee was secure, Ethan and Sherman made their way out of the library.

The Bulbasaur named Galen was crying great, big, sobbing gasps as he tried to tell his story.
"- and when I came home, she was gone. I found a note on our bedroom door...it said...that they have Iria, and...they want a ransom. I don't have that much! Oh, they said not to call the police, but I was scared. What if they...if they..." Galen shuddered, refusing to say anymore. Pluto stood before him quietly, contemplating the problem. His eyes were sympathetic as he got to his feet and patted the grass-type in the most reassuring way he could. His paw brushed the charm the Bulbasaur had on his neck briefly, and a knowing expression came over his face.
"Do not worry. We'll get her back for you." He told the bulbsasaur firmly, and then turned back to his two friends.
"Let's bring Mr. Azalea back with us to the palace, we'll see what we can do." Sherman made his way carefully forward, bending down to offer Galen a seat on his back. The grass-type hesitated before climbing on, his vines pulling himself onto the Dragon's back. He was taking deep, gradually more steady breaths as he tried to calm himself. The sight of the strong Arcanine and Salamence seemed to help.
"Master Eclipse? Does this mean...?" Ethan asked in a whisper as he helped Pluto onto his own back. The eevee nodded and replied softly.
"Yes, it is truly a Plate. We'll gather the money for the ransom to get the girl back."
"We can't let them simply walk away sir." There was a fire in Ethan's eyes as he imagined the criminals who would do such a thing. The Arcanine got to his feet as he and Sherman forced their great bulk through the door frame and out of the Police station.
"Of course not. Do you think you and Sherman can handle them?" Pluto was absently batting at the Mossy Rock at his throat as his mind went through the information Galen had provided them.
"Some pathetic individual going around kidnapping women and children? We'll be fine."
