《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ Circling the last batch of tables with a wet cloth, the boy stood up straight, wiping his forehead with the back of his wrist, then looked back at the table with a content smile upon his face. It was closing hours for the cafe and Taroro was in charge of cleaning off the tables for that day. In fact, he was in charge for a whole week. The boy was forced into it by a game of "scissors-paper-stone". He had won, but unfortunately, the rules were changed at the last minute by two devious waiters and the winner had to clean up after hours, for a week. The boy didn't mind though, it would mean more time away from his home, away from all the rules and control. It was getting late, the owner had already left before him, leaving only the lights to the locker room on and the back door open. He made his way to his locker, packing his possessions neatly into his usual backpack before slinging it over his shoulder. Taroro smiled to himself, looks like that pesky Haunter hasn't shown up yet. Hopefully, he wouldn't at all today.
As he recalled the events that had happened over the weeks, he then remembered how they were stuck with each other now. Or at least, how the boy was stuck with the man. The two had been bounded by "that" contract for about a month now, having the Haunter pop out from anywhere and at any time, made the boy accustomed to it. Sighing deeply, he turned off the lights to the locker room and made his way out the back door, locking it as he left. On this particular night, the ally behind the cafe was even darker than usual. Probably because of the new moon that dominated the night sky, making light sparse at night that time of month. It made it harder for the boy to locate his way out into the main road where his usual path was. It was quiet, only the sound of his footsteps and the chirping of crickets could be heard. It echoed through the empty ally way, it was clear to the boy's ears.
But soon, as he reached a more lighted part of the ally, not only his own footsteps were heard, new ones came, getting closer and closer. The boy paused in his footsteps, taking a quick glance backwards. The light from a nearby lamp, revealed two man, standing side by side. They were grinning, as if expecting the boy. The Rattata, slightly taken aback by the encounter, took a few steps back. Right now, he was in no mood to fight, nor did he have the stamina to do so. They looked though, and probably were, if only two of them were sent here to take him down. Usually, there would be more. Taroro glared at the both of them, but his eyes locked on to one. He had to be careful, anything could happen at any time if he wasn't ready. The Rattata heard a click sound coming from the figures. The boy hesitated. It had to be something dangerous and with how worn out he was right now, there was no way he could handle whatever that was coming. For once, he needed help. But with no one around, it wouldn't be a surprise if it ended fast...____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" For once, Shin was running a bit later than he intended, not that he had much of a schedule. But, he usually tried to catch his new 'boss' or 'master' before he closed up the shop he worked at, and the Haunter knew that this week the boy would be staying later than usual since he had clean up duty. The Rattata hadn't told him personally, but then again, he didn't really need to. Shin knew just about every development that surrounded the boy, especially his work schedule. He wanted to stop by randomly to try and surprise him, again, which seemed to be getting more difficult since his 'boss' was getting used to his 'surprise attacks' since he used them often. Shin, tonight, however, was pretty positive that this new one he came up with would work plenty well, especially with how dark it was. The new moon up ahead really made the streets darker than usual, not that he minded. The Haunter was used to the dark, and didn't have any problem seeing or navigating in it.
After finally reaching the front of the shop, a little bounce in his step with a little excitement that he was having difficulties containing, he noticed that all of the lights were off. "Hmm..am I too late?" he asked himself quietly, glancing around. There was the distinct possibility that the boy had just left, since it wasn't too much later than the time Shin estimated would be when Taroro was finished cleaning up the tables. So, out of curiosity, he crept silently around the building and headed for the back of it. Sometimes the boy exited the back with some of the other staff when the shop owner locked the front door first, so he went to investigate.
It didn't take him long to reach the corner just short of the open ally space behind the shop, but remained in the shadows as he glanced around, looking for any familiar hint of the Rattata. He spotted him quickly enough and was about to call out to him until he realized there were two others in front of the boy, facing him with malicious looking smirks on their faces. Shin had arrived just in time to hear a 'click' coming from their direction. Now, he had never been one to own a gun, but plenty of his 'clients' did, and that click sounded all too familiar.
In that moment, the world seemed to slow to a stop as the Haunter's mind started catching up with the situation, his eyes finally making out the shape of the object that had made the brief sound. Those eyes of his widened, and suddenly he found himself running towards the boy, faster than he usually moved. His heart was racing, and he quickly closed the distance between the two of them, an arm reached out as he shouted. "TARO!" was heard right before a loud 'BANG' sound, and Shin gritted his teeth at the sudden pain in his side, staggering forward a little. He didn't fall, though, he couldn't, because his arms were wrapped tightly and protectively around a familiar and small frame. Shin didn't pause long though, not wasting any time. He whirled around quickly, releasing his grip as he did so, rushing the two men who suddenly had shocked expressions on their faces. They hadn't expected interference, especially that interference running straight at them with an all too serious and deadly expression on it's face.
The Haunter kicked a leg up, knocking the gun out of one of the man's hands before twirling, using that same leg to hit the man in the face and knock him to the ground. Shortly after, he sent a fist to the other man's face, grabbing him by the collar and hitting him again. "Get out of here!" he yelled in his face, releasing his grip on the man's collar, but not without swiping the wallet of one of them. The two men ran off, and Shin was about to turn around and ask if the Rattata was alright, but his vision suddenly went blurry and his knees hit the ground.
"Sure you wanna trust it?"

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ As the man in front of him lifted up his hand, the boy could now recognize the object that was in his opponent's possession. Yes, a gun. The boy couldn't move, his legs froze and his mind went blank. Not only was he at a great disadvantage to begin with but now, he was dealing with a dangerous weapon as well. The men didn't hesitate to pull the trigger, his finger squeezed it slowly, teasing the boy. When the trigger reached it's final point, the boy shut his eyes, his head turning away automatically. 'BANG' the shot was fired, echoing through the deserted ally way, breaking the stale silence. However, strange enough, he didn't feel a single sign of piercing pain like he had expected. Instead, it was replaced by a familiar voice that shouted out his name.
The boy opened his eyes, feeling something, or someone wrapped tightly against his body. Quickly, he opened his eyes, he wanted to know what had happened, why he wasn't shot. No, he needed to know. A dark figure was upon him, the familiar red eyes and the voice from before, didn't make it hard for the boy to realize who it was. His eyes widen as it fell upon the wound caused by the gunshot. It was true, the man had taken it for him. He felt his heart sink. Of all the people, it just had to be this guy. The blood from the man's wound oozed out quickly, but it didn't stop him from countering the two men. Despite, the pain the bullet wound might have caused the Haunter, it didn't take him long to send the two men running for their lives. But as soon as he did, the man collapsed.
The boy stared blankly at the Haunter, trying to take in everything. "Sh-Shin!" He cried out, finally realizing his position, he rushed to the man's side. Just to make sure the man wasn't... dead. The boy checked for his pulse. His finger put pressure on the man's neck, waiting for a pulse. And there it was, still beating. The boy sighed, relieved. Of course, he hadn't expected the man to die from that shallow wound he had received from the shot but one could never be so sure. However, if the wound was left open for too long, it might be fatal. At least the man was still safe for now. Taroro reached into his pocket, pulling out a handkerchief that had so happened to be there and pressed it against the man's wound. Red quickly replaced the white handkerchief, seeping through it. "Hey, wake up." The boy stared down at the man, he knew it couldn't wake the Haunter up but there was no harm trying, right? Feeling slightly ticked off by the man's actions as the boy picked the man up with what ever strength he had left in him, he frowned, his golden eyes looking softly at the motionless Haunter. "You idiot..." he whispered, feeling his chest getting heavier. ---------------
Now, there was no way he could return home. It was hard enough for him to bring home an injured animal and now he was stuck with... an even bigger one. There had to be some place he could go, some place nearby. Luckily, the boy was familiar with the area. It didn't take him long to find his way to the place, dragging the man along with him. It was a brightly lit hotel, a few blocks away from the Cafe the Rattata worked at. The fees wasn't expensive and it had a medical shop located conveniently beside it. He picked up a few medical supplies from the store ,before heading into the entrance of the hotel. There were stares aimed at the boy, struggling with the heavy male. Heavier than him at least. To prevent any questions or suspicion, the boy faked a smile, "He's drunk," he mentioned, making the staff at the counter nod politely. The receptionist typed a few keys on the computer, locating a vacant room for the boy. In a few minutes, the Rattata was already one his way up to the room that he was provided with. Unlocking the door to their room, the boy pushed it open and somehow, had the strength to rest the man on the bed. He looked at the wound, closely examining it. It was shallow, something the boy could deal with, without having to report the situation to a hospital. However, he would have to do it fast, before the man actually bled to death or something. The boy flinched a little before sliding off the Haunter's tight top, he cleaned the wound, dabbing it with a cotton bud and antiseptic. He wasn't sure if treating these kind of wounds were the same as an animal's, after all, it was the only kind experience he had. But what choice did he have right now?

"A trickster's smile" It took him a bit to actually gain some of his consciousness back. After all, Shin didn't often take bullets for people, this was actually his first time doing it, which was a surprise. Why did he do it anyway? Well, he didn't have much time to get into that thought since the pain in his side was making itself more and more known the further he came back to reality. "Nnn..." he mumbled as he gradually opened his eyes a bit, blinking a little. He glanced around, trying to figure out where he was exactly. Last thing he clearly remembered was chasing off a couple of hired idiots, and now he was in...a bedroom? No, it wasn't decorated much like a normal bedroom. A hotel? Shin almost made a move to sit up, but just the slight motion of it caused a pain to shoot up his side and he immediately went back to laying down. "Tch-sss..." he mumbled again, gritting his teeth once more and wincing.
After glancing around again, he came to realize that the person he had shielded was in the room with him, and cleaning his wound, but he could tell the bullet was still inside. It was an uncomfortable feeling, having some foreign object buried in his skin, and painful. He sighed to himself before speaking, "At least their aim sucked," he half teased, chuckling a little. The situation wasn't exactly what one would call 'funny', but the Haunter just had the habit of trying to make serious moments just a bit lighter. And, from his point of view, the Rattata looked like he could use a little humor, though he probably wouldn't see it that way.
"I'm going to have to ask you for a favor, 'boss,'" he started, speaking a little quieter than usual, "the bullet is still in there, you're going to have to take it out." Shin looked over at the boy, his expression was serious but he tried to put a small smirk on his face for him. "If you can handle it, that is," he tried to tease, but it was obvious he wasn't looking forward to what the boy was going to have to do. Part of him was recoiling at the thought of the pain he was about to be in, and for some reason, another part of him didn't want to have to make the boy do something like that. It seemed too..cruel? He wasn't exactly sure what it was, and would've handled it himself but he wasn't exactly good with precision on that sort of thing.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ I was unexpected of the Haunter to have acted as he did before. The boy thought about it as much as he thought about the wound that the Haunter had. The sound of the man moaning broke him off from his thinking. His eyes looked calmly at Shin, instead of the usual serious glare he gave him. If anything, the boy was just grateful that the man was awake. He didn't mind the halfhearted comment the man had made about the attackers, he was just glad the Haunter was conscious. Smiling softly, he dabbed the cotton around the wound a little more, then placed it aside. Taroro turned his attention to the Haunter lying on the bed, surprised by his request. Never in his life, had he taken out a bullet from a wound before. But it wasn't everyday that something like this happened to him either. At least he wasn't the one who had the bullet stuck in him. He could imagine the amount of pain the man must be going through right now and didn't make any objections.
He stared down the man, his smile fading into a slight frown at the Haunter's teasing. Honestly, if the man wasn't in such a terrible state, he would be receiving another punch from the boy right about now. The Rattata rolled his eyes, reaching for the medical kit he had bought from the conveniently located medical store. Searching through it for a moment, he pulled out a pair of tweezers, then turned back to look at the Haunter. "Do you want me to make this hard for you?" He smiled, threatening the man while clipping the tweezers together. He wasn't trying to be mean, but he wanted to get back for the man teasing him. Although the boy really couldn't find the heart to cause more pain to the guy, so he let the thought slide. The lighting wasn't ideal for this kind of operation, but they had to deal with whatever they had for now. With tweezers in one hand and cotton in the other, Taroro moved his head closer to the wound, narrowing his eyes. The light reflected the bullet very clearly into the boy's sight and he put the tweezers close to it. His hands were usually steady, but the thought of causing more pain to the Haunter if he made a mistake, was bothering him, making his hand shaky. His tweezers clipped gently at the edge of the bullet and he tugged it slowly, carefully. He couldn't stand the sight, blood was still leaking out, but only when the bullet was pulled out closer towards the surface of the wound. ____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter blinked a bit at the boy's words, but didn't bother responding. He was too busy bracing himself for what was about to happen to make some sort of come back, which was probably for the best since his thoughts were along the lines of 'since when was working with you ever easy?' Not that Shin was bothered by it, he liked the liveliness the Rattata had, and being kept busy was something he enjoyed. Relaxing after a long day was only truly worth it when he had been busy enough to really enjoy it, and his days seemed to be filled with excitement or amusement ever since he started working for the 'young heir'. He smiled a little to himself, briefly, grabbing some of the hotel's comforter in both hands as he prepared for more pain.
His eyes followed Taroro's movements as he leaned in closer, losing sight of the tweezers. It didn't take long for him to feel them though, and the bullet edged in his flesh. He could tell the boy was trying to be gentle and careful, but that didn't stop it from hurting any less. Pain was shooting up his side more than before, but he was trying to keep himself quiet. Shin gritted his teeth again and closed his eyes tightly, gripping the comforter in both hands with a good amount of force. His body went a bit rigid, but he tried to keep it as relaxed as he could so that it was easier for the bullet to come out. He'd seen some movies here and there where people got shot and had to get the bullet removed, but for some reason, he couldn't help thinking they were under-exaggerating it a bit. It was taking most of his sane mind just to keep himself silent through the tugging the tweezers made. He almost felt pathetic, but, given that he'd never actually been through something like this before, it was understandable. His pain tolerance was fair, but that was mainly for pain on the surface of his skin, not something launched into it.
He could feel his blood leaking out of the wound, it was almost sickening, but he bared with it. It wasn't too much longer until the bullet was finally pulled out, and almost immediately after his body relaxed. Shin panted a little to himself, glad to be free of the pressure and now in a lesser pain than he had just been in. "For the record," he mumbled, glancing over at the boy after a moment, "let's try to avoid this sort of situation next time." The Haunter didn't have to take the bullet for Taroro, but then again, part of him did. It was something he couldn't figure out, even for himself, but the thought of the boy being in the position he was currently in only made him cringe inside. He didn't want to see that, not ever, if he could help it.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ As the bullet plucked out of the wound, the boy cringed at the amount of blood that was oozing out. Quickly, he covered it with the cotton in his other hand, putting pressure onto the wound to prevent any further bleeding. Taroro sighed in relief, putting both the tweezers and the bullet down onto the bedside table. Almost three quarters of the bullet was covered in the Haunter's blood and it would have been bad if they had left it in there. He took hold of some medication, while at the same time, he heard the man make a comment. The boy pursed his lips, knowing that it was mostly his fault that the man had gotten himself into this painful situation. If had hadn't been so stunned like he was before, he could have kicked those man down and continue with his usual daily routine. But no, at that moment, he just had to freeze. "...Sorry...," was all he could say. His heart felt heavy again and it was harder to speak, looking down at his lap, his hands rested on it, clenching them. He couldn't make any eye contact with the man, or even look at his for that matter. The boy was usually responsible for his own actions and because his mind was fixed on this being his fault, he had to deal with the consequences. And that was making sure the Haunter was in full health. "I'll take responsibility for this..." His eyes looked away, picking up another cotton bud from the medical box. The boy was reluctant to stay with the man for so long, let alone tend to him. Why did this kind of situations happen to him? Putting him in a tight spot every single time. He didn't like it, not one bit. But he had no choice, if he were to walk out now, his best source of information would be left to care for himself and he just couldn't stand the thought.
Dripping the cotton bud with the medication, he turned his head back to face the Haunter. With his usual serious expression on his face, he glared down at the man. He decided he wasn't going to tell him that the medication would sting. It was finally time to get back at him, for all the times he intruded into the boy's privacy but he was going to do it in a less obvious way. Secretly, the boy smiled inside, his stern look still plastered onto his face. He lightly dabbed the medicated cotton bud onto the man's wound, cleaning it so that the bullet wouldn't cause any infections. Then taking out a roll of bandages, he unwrapped it, then stared back at the man again. "You're going to have to sit up somehow." he paused a little, unrolling a length of bandage then continued with his sentence, "I can't pick you up like an animal." The boy only stated that because the Haunter was probably well aware by now that the boy tended to injured animals. Although they were much lighter... and softer than the man lying before him.

"A trickster's smile" He blinked a little incredulously at the boy's apology, staring for a moment. He apologized? To him? Shin almost felt like pinching himself to see if he was really awake or not. He knew the boy wasn't too fond of him, at least that's what he thought, so he never expected to hear that all of things being said to him. The Rattata's next words though kind of made him realize why he had said it in the first place. 'Obligation' he thought to himself, smiling a little briefly. "Your father is training you well," he commented, not too fond of the thought of the Rattata's father. He was just so...terribly boring. The thought of the man alone brought the Haunter's mood down significantly. If there was anyone that Shin would label a 'killjoy', it was that man. But, he had to admit, when it came to business he was a resourceful, cut throat and very successful guy.
Just as Shin's thoughts were starting to get more deeply involved, and he was seriously considering hanging up a picture of the man on one of his home walls to throw darts at, whenever he did get to one of his 'homes', there was a sharp sting in his side. "Nnnnhnnhnnnn-," was all he managed to get out between his, once again, clenched teeth. It sounded almost like a pained and strained, quiet laugh of some sort, but his face was far from being amused. Shin winced again as the boy dabbed the medication onto his wound, gripping the comforter again briefly at the sudden sensation in his side. Fortunately, it didn't last too long and his body relaxed again when it was over, sighing to himself. What exactly did he do to deserve this? He paused for a moment as he thought it over, chuckling a little to himself, 'Plenty,' his mind supplied.
His attention was pulled back to the Rattata as he spoke again, chuckling a little at his words. "True enough," he replied, agreeing with the statement. The Haunter shifted after a moment, moving his legs over the side of the bed to sit up, as if he were seating in a chair, and faced the boy. He held the cotton to his wound, putting pressure on it so it didn't bleed a profuse amount when he sat up, wincing a bit as he did. He sat up perfectly straight, which both relieved pressure and created some, but he kept it from his face this time, growing a bit accustomed to it. After lifting up his arms a bit from his sides, he asked, "Will this do?" looking back at the boy. He wouldn't tease the boy just yet, not wanting to distract him from doing something that would help the Haunter start healing.
It was only then that he realized his shirt was off, and it felt a little odd being suddenly half naked, not that his body wasn't in shape. The Haunter was always moving and putting himself in unusual positions that actually helped tone his body. There were three long scratch looking tattoos on his left side that reached from half way to his stomach and stretched across to the middle of his back, two of the same kind also on his right side. They matched the ones on the left side of his face, almost looking like purple colored scars of sorts. He couldn't remember when he got them, but he'd had them for quite a while.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The boy only watched as the man lifted himself up from the bed, wincing as he did. Looks like it wasn't as hard as the Rattata might have though. The man did pretty well, at the same time, keeping a stable position. Not bothering to reply the man, he started to wrap the bandage over his wound. A few layers of it were required here and there but it was no problem for the boy, since he had some experience with the supplies, the process was over in a jiffy. The bandage was tightly wrapped halfway around the man's torso, preventing any blood from flowing out. There was nothing to be said, nor was there anything else to talk about. The boy packed the medical supplies neatly back into the kit, shutting it and pushing it to one side. Without making a single sound or even looking at the Haunter, Taroro flipped out his cellphone. He stood up from where he was and turned away from the man, punching in a few keys on his phone before placing it against his ear. "Hello? Yes, I'm afraid I won't be returning tonight..." He spoke as soon as he heard the other line pick up. It wasn't his father, nor was it his mother. It was just one of the servants. His parents never really cared much for the boy's life. He was free to do anything he wanted, as long as he didn't disobey his father. "No... I have an important matter to attend to, please contact my father about it." After his last times were said, he snapped his cellphone shut, turning his attention to the Haunter.
He still couldn't believe that he would be spending some 'quality time' with the man for a few days or at least until the man was good enough to be on his own. What was he thinking? He was thought to be responsible for whatever he did, yes. But this, on the other hand, was just something different all together. The boy detested it, he detested the thought of it. Nothing could change the fact that the boy hated this man's guts, not yet. At least the man couldn't scare the boy until he was completely recovered. That was probably the only thing the boy didn't hate about the situation. He looked blankly around the room, then back at the man, scowling at him. "I'll pamper you until you recover..." The boy turned his head away, his face looked disturbed by his own comment, "But only because you saved me..." He didn't want to admit it, but the Haunter did save his life and he was grateful. He had to repay the man somehow but this was probably the best way, and easiest to do so. It was also another part of him that wanted him to stay, though he wasn't quite sure which it was. Could it have been his responsible side or his caring side? Maybe a different part of him, one that he knew nothing about? Either way, the boy had a feeling that if he didn't do what he said he would, he would feel the guilt build inside of him and he didn't like that feeling. But what he had just told the Haunter, was it maybe a little too overboard? It didn't matter, as long as he got the guilt out of his chest.____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" The Haunter remained still as the boy bandaged up his wound, still keeping whatever pain he was feeling from his face, though there was pressure here and there from the bandages. They were tight enough, and Shin had to admit that the Rattata did a pretty good job wrapping him up. It wasn't much of a surprise, though. He didn't know how many animals the boy had cared for, but he figured it had been a decent amount, especially with how he was bandaging up the man now. Shin reached over after the boy was done, pulling out his cellphone from his sprawled out coat and moving to lean against the headboard of the bed as the boy pulled out his own cellphone. He overheard what the boy was saying, but kept quiet anyway. Not wanting to give away who the boy was in the room with, he focused instead on his own cellphone, pressing multiple keys rapidly. If he was to be confined to a hotel room to recover, he'd deal with it, but that didn't mean that he had to stop working. He could do a variety of things from his cellphone, which included finding out who tried to 'assassinate' his employer.
Shin pulled out the wallet he had swiped from one of the men, flipping it open and sending the information to an unknown source. It didn't take long to get what he needed from the wallet, and quickly flipped it shut, tossing it to the side to rest on the stand next to the bed, next to the bullet that came from it's owner. He smirked a bit at the boy's words, glancing up at him briefly as he spoke, "What an honor this is," he teased, returning his attention back to his phone. His fingers were still moving, even as he spoke to the Rattata. Shin was familiar with all of the keys on his phone, as he'd had years of practice. He had to get at least a little 'skilled' with it, since timing was often everything in his line of work.
He grunted a little after his fingers finally stopped moving, "So that's how it is..." he mumbled, more so to himself. After a moment, he closed his eyes and leaned his head back, thinking. Shin was working right now, so he was far more calm and serious than his usual self. There were few times that he actually seemed like a normal person with a steady head on his shoulders, but this was one of them. "'Boss,'" he started, leaning his head back down and looking at his cellphone screen again, "'Permission' to deal with your attackers and their employer." It wasn't a question, or a suggestion, it was more of a statement. The Haunter was going to take action even if the boy denied him the 'permission' he mentioned. Shin wasn't much for revenge, but this particular situation made him change his mind for once.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ The boy stared blankly at how fast the man got his information and he was doing it with a single cellphone and a wallet which he must have swiped from one of the attacker during their encounter. It was probably the boy's first time seeing the man at work and it amazed him even more that the Haunter was still in the mood to do so. After all, he was in no condition to stress himself out. Upon hearing the man's request, or more like demand, he gave the Haunter a cold stare. Even though the boy couldn't be happier that he had located and tracked down his attackers, he couldn't let the Haunter do it. At least not until he was better. But with the way the Haunter acted, the Rattata knew that he would do it anyway. So there really wasn't any point if he declined the man. "Not until you get better." He commanded strictly, folding his arms. He wouldn't stop the man from doing what he wanted to do but he just couldn't let him off in this conditions. Taroro decided that he would let his caring attitude take over. He was simply too worn out from today to care or think about anything. Walking over to the entrance, he locked the door. It was the only means escape aside from the balcony and just to make sure the Haunter wouldn't run off in the middle of his treatment, he had to deal with escape routes somehow. However, only when the man got better, was it possible for him to slip out of the balcony. So for now, locking the door would just have to do. It was the only thing the boy could think of. Something to restraint the Haunter, to prevent him from escaping with his wound still fresh.
Slipping the keys into his pocket, he glanced back at the purple haired man, letting out a sigh. "You work too hard, Shin." He started, folding his arms again. He knew he wasn't the one to say something like that, but now he honestly felt like giving the Haunter a break. Even when he was injured, the man was still hard at work. It was something the boy could finally respect. The Haunter wasn't as childish as the boy thought he was, he was actually dedicated, serious. It sort of made the boy want to take care of him even more now. Taroro made his way back to where his 'patient' was, using his hand to push the man's cell phone down. "You shouldn't push yourself." He frowned a little, his expression was gentle. He didn't know why, but right now he felt calmer around the guy. Even though it might get boring for the Haunter, the boy could only think about how to make up for his mistake. "You'll get to do as you please later. But for now, I won't allow it." He paused for awhile, then narrowed his eyes at the Haunter, his frown still present, "that's an order."____________________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _

"A trickster's smile" Shin just about sent a defiant look back at the boy's hard stare, but soon enough he was turned the other way and locking the door. He almost let the chuckle that built up slip at the boy's misunderstanding, but kept it to himself and decided to play along. He had never intended to physically go out and exact his revenge, no, he had something far worse planned for the men that caused this whole situation. Just the click of a button on his phone could trigger the downfall of any company, if he chose to do it. And, that's exactly what he had in mind for the employer of those two men. Shin would drag their company down without hesitation in an instant. It only helped him when he found out that the 'employer' was one of his previous 'clients'. The man that hired the two 'assassins' may or may not have known Shin was involved, but, that didn't matter. His current employer's life had been in danger, and the Haunter himself had gotten injured in the process, and Shin was ruthless when it came to his job.
The man was about to push the button anyway, but the Rattata moved just fast enough to lower his cellphone down, blocking his chance to do so. He glanced up, almost ready to retaliate against the boy's actions but the expression on his face made him stop somehow. The boy's face was was...gentle? Whatever words he was going to say, however irked he felt, for some reason it gradually faded. Shin was calm again, until the boy's final words. He chuckled out loud for once, smirking a bit afterwards, "Yes 'boss'," he teased, finally giving in and closing his cellphone, setting it back into his coat pocket.
After a moment, Shin glanced around the room again, still leaning back against the bed's headboard. It was then that he finally noticed it, something that would come up sooner or later. "You got a room with a single bed," he mentioned nonchalantly, actually a little amused with the situation. "Seeing as I'm injured..." he trailed off, grinning a little deviously at the boy, "looks like you're gonna have to share the bed with me." Shin patted the space next to him, teasing the Rattata a little more with a playful grin on his face. He was quite amused at this new development, and the boy's reaction was probably going to be even more amusing.

《♠Taroro ℕezumi♠》 ___________________________________________________________________ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ He was surprised to hear Shin agree with his command, normally the man would tease a little more before he actually agreed to something. This was turning out to be better than what he had expected. That is, until the Haunter realized that there was only one bed in the room. The boy honestly hadn't noticed it himself. He was too busy fussing over the man's injury that he didn't even ask the lady at the counter for a room with two separate beds. 'I should have asked for a more expensive room...' he thought to himself, feeling agitated by the man's comment about sharing the bed. "I'm not sleeping with you!" The Rattata growled, returning to his usual strict tone of voice and his face tensed up. Although it hit him that it was was his own fault that he had gotten a single bed instead but with the Haunter's condition right now, he couldn't change rooms anymore. He would have to live with it for now. It was frustrating how every mistake the boy had made was just another opportunity for the Haunter to tease him. Glaring at the man again like he usually did, then panning around the room. There was nothing else he could sleep for the night, besides the chair he had rested on previously. This wasn't good, he might actually have to share the bed with the Haunter.
He disliked the thought, like every other thought he had of the dark man before him. The Rattata gave in to his fatigue and having no other choice, he scowled, making his way to the other side of the bed as he did. Examining at the empty space where the Haunter had patted down, he sat on the edge reluctantly, before sliding himself onto the bed. He knew the Haunter was going to say something, he just knew it. After all, the man didn't pass up any chances to tease the boy. Not that he knew of anyway. The bed was soft and comfy, and he felt the tension of today slowly fade away. He could finally rest. The boy was tired. In fact he was already tired from before the event had happened and now, he was even more. He was tuckered out from the events that he had encountered today and wanted simply to laze around without any disturbance. That especially applied to the man next to him. Taroro covered with eyes with one arm, then letting out a sigh. He didn't care if the man was going to tease him again. Although, since he was injured, he probably couldn't do much. At least, that was what the boy thought.

"A trickster's smile" He laughed a bit at the boy's reaction, but stopped soon after, wincing, a hand automatically shooting to his side at the brief pain. The boy's reaction was pretty much what he expected it to be, and he finished his laughing with a chuckle instead, which didn't cause much of any pain. 'Looks like laughing's out of the question,' he thought to himself, unpleased with the fact. He'd have to take it easy on himself for the next few days, and laughing apparently was included on the list of things he shouldn't do. The rough vibrations and movements of his abdomen only made his wound hurt even more.
Shin watched as the boy finally caved in and moved around to take a seat, before sliding onto the bed. He moved his coat out of the way, for both of them. It had some things in it that would probably not fair too well if they were sat on, and he didn't want the boy laying on it anyway. After bunching it up a little next to his side, he played with the fur lightly on the top of it, a habit of his, and leaned his head back again, closing his eyes. He was getting tired. Normally he'd still be pretty awake, but with all the excitement that had been packed into those somehow long hours, not to mention the bullet wound, he was a bit exhausted. The Haunter glanced over at his 'boss' after a moment, starting to realize he was about in the same position. Normally he would've teased the boy a bit more, but he found he wasn't exactly in the mood. For once, the Haunter just wanted to sleep for a bit.
It took much longer than it would've if he wasn't injured, but Shin shifted himself a bit, moving back to a laying position on the bed and plopping his head onto a pillow. He didn't care that he was on top of the covers, sleep was calling, and he wasn't going to resist it this time. His eye lids gradually lowered, pulling his coat a bit closer to him like a child would a blanket. Not too long after, sleep took over, and any distractions or pain that he was aware of faded to black. ___________________
When the Haunter woke up, his eyes were still closed, but he was very vaguely aware of something in his arms. He didn't stir immediately, and his mind was still asleep for the most part, but after a few minutes he made a typical, but quet morning groan and gradually opened his eyes. It was a slow motion, and he had to blink a few times to actually see clearly, but upon his blurry vision starting to clear he noticed a soft and lavender looking object in front of his nose. He stared at it blankly, his mind starting to take note of the weight in his arms, something much heavier than the coat he remembered holding to himself when he fell asleep. In fact, it was far too heavy to be his coat, and thin, too.
Things were finally starting to register as his mind gradually came out of it's just-waking-up fog. There was a slender boy in his arms, a rather warm one at that, Shin noted. He wasn't exactly freaked out by this fact, but he did feel a little odd somewhere inside himself. Some sort of strange feeling in his stomach, and he was pretty sure it wasn't the bullet wound in his side. In truth, sometime in the night the Haunter had turned on his uninjured side, facing the boy, and at some point the two had ended up sort of 'hugging' each other in their sleep. Shin was still staring a bit blankly at the top of the Rattata's head, trying to figure out what he should do, but his mind decided to fail him this time, and he was stuck motionless with a ticking time bomb sleeping in his arms.
