 I actually saw the movie a while ago but I thought it would start a fantastic conversation. I doubt there will be many spoilers but just to be safe I put up the warning. Why I put this as the weekly dicussion isn't to discuss the movie, although I'm sure that will come up and is more than allowed, but to actually discuss the process of inception and whether you believe it is possible. Especially for those who easily enter others dreams in their sleep. Do you think it would be possible to plant a thought in someone's mind? At the same time, do you think it's wise and do you feel that you would have to let that person convince themselves it was their idea and let it grow naturally?

First off, I saw the movie today. Wow. ******** wow. Loved it blaugh
Next, yes, I think it is possible to do it. Ive never tried it myself, because Im kind of against it [ unless its to my enemies, the bastards... ] but all they were doing, really, was dreamsharing. And taking full control of their conciousness to change the dream as they saw fit. I was just discussing it with my friend as we left the place. I can do the same thing, to an extent. I recall my dreams, and my subconcious makes the world. All I can do, for now, is control my own actions and process', and fight or do as I will within them. Thats, of course, in my own mind. When entering the minds of others, I simply watch, rarely, if ever, impede on them. The otheer things they were doing, is actually another kind of going to upper reality. Dream sharing is another form of upper reality, to an extent. As is, upper reality has certain traits in all of dreams, but when it isnt "fully" upper reality, you cant call it that. I dont want to say when they speak of it, but going to limbo? And staying brain dead or what not for who knows how long? That is an example of upper reality, which starts in the dream world, and can affect you deeply in the waking one.
Again, movie was A+++

I actually have done that before...the whole-dreamsharing with someone. In order for me to do it...I just have to be touching someone. I often would spend the night at a friend's house, and we both would wake up in the morning describing the same exact dream. I am also able to this from a distance if I have a deep pyschological connection with someone. I don't do it often, but it does happen. So I do believe in the whole idea of inception. By the way want to see the movie, but haven't yet...so don't ruin it for me. lol jk.

I know I've shared a dream with my sister once (or at least I think it was a shared dream. We had the exact same dream on the same night.). It was nowhere near the level of the dreams they had in Inception, however. I've heard of people planting thoughts through hypnosis before, but never dreams, so I'm not sure how possible it actually is.
It was a pretty wild movie though, and I think I'd be a bit freaked out if it were completely true!

I loved that movie too, I have had dreams about people I know but I believe they are only projections of the people I know. My friend and I have had similar dreams but they always have differences and end differently... I think it would be awesome if you could actually dream share.
