Ok, so there isn't much in this guild that talks about SSBM, except the one that talks about the rev verion of the game coming soon. so, I decided to make a topic just to discuss SSBM and such. even though most of the people who come in here will be scrubs, no offense or anything, but it is the truth. www.smashboards.com if at any point you dont know the terms being used, go here. at any time you feel the urge to try to prove you are better at SSBM than anyone in the guild, go here. if at any time you feel you know anything about SSBM, go here. basicly, just go here, more than likley you are a scrub, and you need to be enlightened in the depth of SSBM. so just go there, and learn! Videos: any SSBM videos any of you make I will add here. here's some of my vids. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QCQ9XWFG http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1TX7KJ08so, now that the basics are all here for you, discuss! but before you post, PLEASE go to smashboards if you have never been before, because any input you make without going will be invalid, stupid, and pointless. so just go, mmmkay?this is the last chance I'm giving this guild, and if the topic fails, well lets just say you wont see much of me around here anymore.

If we would go there, talk and discuss there, then what is the use of this guild... And what do you mean with "scrubs", something like noobs? ((I don't know it because I've never heard it in this sentence build-up and if its some sort of slang its a good possibility that I don't know about it.))
Please give a good reason why we should go there instead of staying in this guild. Also, if we leave here this guild would most likely die out, that would be a shame.
((Oh and I will watch your vids another time when I'm able to use my own pc or that of a friend.))

I like watching vids such as Zenothlee's "The Egg, Head and the Boot" (I think that's right o.O) Yoshi vid or the I.H.O.P.'s (International House of Pain) Puffstuff.
However, I'm looking for a specific vid called "Thunderstruck" which is a Pichu combo vid. However, I'm having problems finding it -.-
The reason why I play pichu is due to smashboards.com. Landing frames, lag, quick attack special landing, all rock for Pichu. I like my characters agile, not laggy. XD

I know that I still don't know everything about SSBM for a long shot, but I don't need to. All the things I need to know about it I know and I am a capable fighter. I don't see the point in knowning more about it then I already do and sertanly not with the new Console coming closer and closer. And that I don't know all terms... well thats too bad then, aslong as I am able to make clear to people what I am saying I'm perfectly fine with it. Yes I do feel the urge to prove myself toward others, but the only way that I really can do that is by actually playing against them, but since most of them live FAR away that will be difficult. So I will do with what I got. And in this guild I'm feeling pretty comfy and I still earn gold as I post heheheh. And most people are respectfull to others even when there are mistakes made in terms, spelling or even facts. So I have little reason to go somewhere where if you don't really know the terms that they instantly think you're a noob. And I have little respect for arrogant people like that. I am arrogant too, but I at least know how to have Adult conversations and I know how to show respect to others eventhough they may not be able to type as well as others or who don't know a term. But ofcourse this is only my opinion and not of all the others so I can't speak for everyone else. But who knows that maybe I'll look there some time, its about SSBM after all wink . Edit: Yes there are prolly some spelling flaws in this post, but I'm too tired to actually remove them.

XD eh...I hate pichu, way too light and it hurts itself...I prefer fox, he is the same, except a bit more heavy, has a lot more potential in general (for doing combos etc.) and dosen't hurt hiself. not to mention the shine! @roy - whatever helps you sleep at night. really, you will be completley lost in this topic if you know what only a scub does. w00t! I learned to waveshine last night! Peach shal pay for all the suffering she has caused my fox! twisted

But indeed, I sleep well at night. Do you really think that everyone need that site to become so good at the game? You rely too much on others to be as good as you are. Not everyone needs too wink . But as you said, whatever helps you sleep at night hahahaha!

Is there going to be a discussion of SSMB, or was this thread just created to advertise smash boards? It's obvious that noone here is going to be able to PROVE that they can beat someone else, can we get past it? If Smash boards is really all that important to the game, then shouldn't it become obvious once we actually start disscusing it?! So obviously whoever is right will be proved so faster if we ACTUALLY DISCUSS!
...now, for my 2 cents...
Wavedashing, as a technique, is said to be a cornerstone of any decent smasher... However, I've fought many people with and without using it, and I really can't tell the difference in scores. Honestly, if you're good enough to wavedash effectivly, shouldn't that be the sign that you don't need it?

To be honest, no I do not know it, but I still can fight well enough. And I would gladly smash against you, maybe with the new console that we will get that opportunity. And then it will be clear how right you are, or not cool . If not taking atvantage of the use of a informative site makes me a scrub, then I gladly will be called a scrub rofl .

Honestly, if you're good enough to wavedash effectivly, shouldn't that be the sign that you don't need it? all I have to say to this is that you obviously have never fought a good luigi, marth, IC, or fox player. it is key with all of them, (fox because of waveshine) and basicly if you cant do it and you use any of them, you are much worse off. fox isn't really countered by anyone because of waveshine, making wavedash extremely important to him. and I'm just going to ignore everyone in here that is arrogant and retarted, and basicly is doing exactly what the statement I put in huge bold letters said. really, your input is invalid, pointless, and retarted, you are better off just turning around and leaving if you haven't been to smashboards. and if you really want to face me roy, why wait? I will pwn you in SSB online. just search on google project 64, download the emu, and well, everything after that is illegal to discuss here, but if you talk to me on AIM I will tell you how to set up SSB 64 etc. for the compy. many of the techs used in SSBM were first in SSB, and I will show you. and just to rub it in your face, I'm going to beat you with jigglypuff. not kirby, not pikachu, jigglypuff.
