Gundam Exia vs GP-02
Exia strengths
Exia is a close combat suit, equipped with seven different swords, all able to slice through armor as if it were butter. It is quick and agile, able to dodge many attacks with ease. Having a system called Trans-Am, it can triple its specs for a brief time.
Weaknesses
Exia is lightly armored, so attacks that land will cause damage. It has beam vulcans and a beam gun, but both are weak and used mainly for distraction. After Trans-Am, the suit is left vulnerable for a time until it's GN Drive can recharge particles.
GP-02 Strengths GP-02 is heavily armored, and can take even the heat for a nuclear blast with little damage. Being so armored, it also has multiple verniers for little loss in maneuverability. It is equipped with a bazooka, and so carries considerable firepower.
Weaknesses The suit is not proficient in close range combat. In earth's gravity, it is hindered, and so cannot fight as well. It has only two main armaments, the bazooka and a beam saber, and when both run out, the suit is helpless.

Mmmm...this is a tough one. A classic battle of opposites. I gotta give it to Physalis, though. It can withstand its own nuclear attack, and Exia cannot. If Setsuna gets anywhere near Gato, then BOOM. End of battle.

Don't forget the speed Trans-Am gives it, it could move away pretty quick. I think its about even though.

But does it move faster than the shockwave from a nukular blast? Besides, it's completely helpless after Trans-Am, you said it yourself. Gato just has to get it on the run to see if it might escape (doubtful) than fire a second shot to utterly decimate it.

It can in fact escape the shockwave, with Trans-Am active it can outrun just about anything

Can it accelerate to 980 miles per hour at a moment's notice within 2 milliseconds? I don't think so. Besides, even if it could, the Trans-Am leaves a 00-universe Gundam completely vulnerable. Gato just has to get a second shot. Do I have to remind you once again that this is a fight, and not a race?

Sounds more like a moble armor then a MS. Your all going on about the Trans-am, what about Setsuna's skill as a pilot.
Remember Exia excels in close combat and u say the other does not. So all Setsuna has to do is stay close. He did destrow that on big gold MA and it was protected by a GN field.
I think Exia could take it down... might take a bit but as long as Setsuna stays calm my monys on him.

Utena is right. Even when the opponent had a far superior suit, he won with skill. ike the Reborns Cannon/Gundam vs 00Raiser, the Reborns was far superior technology wise, but Setsuna was a far superior pilot.

Blah, blah, blah. I'm sick of hearing about Setsuna's on-screen exploits. This isn't a pissing contest (or a race, Mr. Thrusters) it's a one-on-one fight. ALL the piloting skill in the world won't make the impossible happen. My father is an excellent diesel technician. He can fix anything. But if someone drops a nuke on his head, that's not going to help him, now is it? Nuke+anything=disaster. Besides, Gato is also an excellent pilot. He slaughtered hundreds in only a busted-up Rick Dom.
