Weasel-chan I'm feeling dumb for asking, but what is TVTropes? It's a wiki consisting of plot devices in modern media - if you have a favorite book, TV show, movie, or video game, they probably have a breakdown of all the plot devices it uses. For example, this trope page is for my favorite band.

Also, it's very useful for when you're trying to do things like weave a story of your own; you can look at what makes each scenario work and what to try and avoid, such as making a character a Mary Sue, or Boring and Invincible.**
Just try not to stuff them in carefree abandon though, no good will come of that.

Just try not to stuff them in carefree abandon though, no good will come of that.It's not really useful at all. You can't write a good story if you're trying to achieve some stereotyped character or story.
