What happened to us? I remember when there was a time when this forum was very active. Did everyone lose interest? Did we all just grow up?

I think I'm about as active as I ever really was. I suspect most people can guess at the various likely reasons and such for the drop-off. But I don't see much I can really contribute here, since fixing "this" has come up a few times now.

I check everything out, but never really post due to not knowing what to say, or not being interested

Grad school has been sucking out my soul...I'm done with it for the next month, so I'll hopefully have more to say.

It feels as though the majority of the occult guilds I'm in are kind of slowing down, and have been for months. Maybe it's just Summer languor, but I dunno.

Real life happened.
That and I spend more time researching now than I do discussing that research. Seems that when I post about the more hard-science aspects of psi no one seems as enthusiastic or interested as I am.

Seems that when I post about the more hard-science aspects of psi no one seems as enthusiastic or interested as I am. I think that most people are just attracted to the more "iffy" part of the paranormal and are not interested in squeezing through the more complicated aspects of it. For example, some of your experiments such as the one with Hieronymous Machine have been a little difficult to grasp from a technical aspect or for the magnitude of its importance, but i want to believe that your projects as well as many of the paranormal guild's "veterans" are indispensable to our community. And for what it's worth, thank you

I've been reading papers on parapsychology for a while now, looking for insights, trying to glean anything useful from the work that has already been done so that I can maybe make the jump from "what if" to "how to".

Zurine What happened to us? I remember when there was a time when this forum was very active. Did everyone lose interest? Did we all just grow up? All of that sounds about right. I lost interest in this guild due to a lack of "magic" in my own life and because I felt that no-one else here was really interested enough in the guild to help me bring it back to life.
I just had some ideas though, so Hey! You might want to check back soon. Although if you don't see anything a few days from now it's safe to wait a little longer.

You best be talking bout me, gangsters.
It's more fun participating in real life and using magic then trying to do it in a "theoretical" environment. It's fun to talk about, but I feel less gets done.
At least we aren't those other guilds. Right everyone?
