Gypsy sighed as he padded across the fields. He was hungry and alone. "I can't find anything here to eat yet." he muttered before settiling down sighing once more. "And I haven't found a temporary den yet. Looks like I'll be sleeping out under the stars tonight."

Songpaw was slightly ahead of the patrol, though made sure to stay close. She trotted through the undergrowth happily, Nightsong trying his best to keep up without hurting his back. She scented the air, smelling a rather odd scent. "Hey Nightsong, do you smell that?" she asked, blinking as she continued to pick up the scent. Nightsong padded next to her, pleased at how quickly she scented it. "I smell it." he replied, trying to make out the scent.

Dreameyes tasted the air. "Its some other cat. A rouge it seems." He recognized. "The cat's not moving rest perhaps. Songpaw stay close and don't let your guard down." He told Songpaw. He nodded to Nightsong before going low and stalked towards the scent.
Gypsy looked up and around. He caught the other scent of other cats. He could smell a she-cat with in the group. But that as as far as he got.

Songpaw glanced around, trying to scent the cats' location. "He doesn't smell harmful... he smells like a normal loner. Can I check it out? Please, Nightsong?" she mewed hopefully. Nightsong was uneasy about it, but knew that the apprentices' senses were more keen and could tell more. She must somehow be able to tell whether he was bad or not just by his scent! "Alright, but keep your distance, and your guard up at all times." he replied awkwardly, the apprentice smiling and trotting off.
She perked her ears and scented the area, carefully padding toward the scent. Finally the scent was stronger from where she was behind a hazel bush, and she could tell that the cat was close. Closing her blind eyes, she twitched her ears and took in a deep breath. She had to make sure that the cat wasn't harmful. Observing him for a few long moments, she opened her eyes. "H-Hello?" she mewed softly.

Dreameyes stopped and stayed where he was watching Songpaw and the other cat.
"Who's there." Gypsy asked standing up. Ready to run if he needed. But he felt a certain softness in the voice that made his fur go back to normal.

Songpaw padded out of the bushes wearily, scenting her way toward the rogue. "Don't worry, I wont hurt you." she assured, slowly walking up in front of the cat. "You... you wont hurt me, right?" she asked awkwardly.

"No...I would probably have just run if you tried to attack me.." Gypsy said calming down. He stayed where he was and asked "Wh-who are you?"

Songpaw stayed silent for moments on end, just wordlessly observing the rogue. "I'm Songpaw, an Apprentice of HazelClan." she finally spoke. "What are you doing here anyway?" she mewed, keeping her tone soft to make sure she wouldn't scare him.

"I'm just looking for some where to sleep. I won't stay long, I'll be gone the next morning." Gypsy replied his arm bands clanked together for the first time making a small tune.

Songpaw took a few moments, trying to identify the clanking sounds. "No, you don't have to leave..." she trailed off, wondering how she would pull off helping a rogue. "If you really mean no harm, then I can help you find a good place to sleep tonight." the apprentice finished, keeping her voice somewhat low in case Dreameyes was able to hear her. "And I can sneak you some prey, too." she whispered.

"No I couldn't do that..." Gypsy said and sighed. "I only wish to have a home again...after my owner died my life was differ-" Gypsy cut off for a moment and looked up at the sky and then to the ground. "Its going to rain." He said with a sigh.

Songpaw blindly looked up to the sky, scenting the air for dampness, and was baffled. "How did you know that? The air isn't even damp yet!" she gasped. She shook her head, trying to focus. "Well, I can always ask Shiningstar, our leader, if you could join HazelClan." Songpaw suggested.

"I can tell by the way the air blows and how the clouds look." Gypsy explained and thought about the possible home he could have. "That could work to." Gypsy explained but added "But I don't know how well your clan mates would like me. I was owned by a Twoleg. And a strange on at that. She ready signs for other twolegs..and some of her readings came true." He explained before sighing he remembered once more "By the way...I'm called Gypsy."

"Gypsy..." she whispered, the name sounding completely odd to her. Nonetheless, she scooted a little closer to the rogue. "I know. My Clanmates probably wont like you. But I've heard great stories about Kittypets, like a former Kittypet being the best fighter in the clan!" she replied, sightlessly gazing up at Gypsy. Even though she couldn't see, there was a determination in her eyes.
