Well I know lots of metal bands borrow themes, references, and inspiration from his works but does anybody else here actually read his stuff?

I have a book full of some of his short story's. Its pretty good if you like Edgard Allan Poe type stuff.

I think Necronomicon is a pretty cool guy. eh writes about the eldritch, cyclopean horrors of alternate universes and doesn't afraid of anything.

I really only started reading Lovecraft about August-September last year, and, being a book nerd, I now have no less than three anthologies of his work on my bookshelf.

Though before I got it in book form from my older sister for Xmas, I spent all of the night before reading "At the Mountains of Madness" and "The Rats in the Walls" on Wikisource. Nothing like eldrich horror and cannibalism to get you in the holiday spirit.

Lol. After all, isn't that what the holidays are all about?
