The Mansion
As fitting for such a wealthy family, the Astrum's estate is quite large and well furnished. The entire estate is roughly an acre. The mansion is a towering three stories high and includes a well-sized attic and a cool, granite cellar. Right next to the mansion is the large garage for the multiple cars that are used for commute and any errands that need to be carried out, most of these cars are fancy, large, and, for lack of better word, "souped out". Of course, the house itself doesn't take up the acre, there's also a large backyard. A circular swimming pool with a diameter of fifty feet and is roughly five feet deep is in the back while, a few feet away from it, a smaller circular jacuzzi, twelve feet in diameter and three and a half feet deep, but contains a bench of sorts on the other linings, lies nearby with jets and bubbles. The swimming pools are built in ground and the square around them are paved with marble tiles, each roughly four feet by four feet and customized to fit when nearing the pool, while a pavilion , with the four pillars on the four corners of the paved marble tiles, protects the pool from debris such as leaves. The rest of the estate is turf and some trees here and there for shade, and a large, well cultivated garden. On the far end of the real estate, away from the house and pool to prevent too much accidental damage, is a beautiful garden. A marble path leads up to here, circles around a beautiful multi-layered water fountain, and continues off forming what looks like a Celtic cross. Neatly trimmed hedges protect the path once it nears the garden area. Four cherry trees are on the corners of the garden, trees that will blossom in pink flowers in the spring. Then, flowers of all sorts are here organized into different patterns everywhere, a marvelous and beautiful sight. Butterflies, and unfortunately bees too, can often be seen fluttering around here. The estate is fenced off by a wrought iron fence with the tops of the front gate being gilded in gold. The gates use a hydraulic system to open and close, meaning they are nearly impossible to force open unless with something akin to a ballistic missile.
The cellar of the large mansion is, in and of itself, quite large. It is also where the help, the maids and butlers, who live at the mansion, stay at while the others will commute back and forth. Just because it's the basement doesn't mean it's not nice, since not all too many stay, each one gets their own personal rooms equipped with a HD digital plasma 22" screen mounted on the wall and with a twin sized bed, a wardrobe, and a desk for them to use while a small bathroom and shower is also connected to each room. When heading up to the first floor, a spiraling staircase leads up to the kitchen in the back of the house. The kitchen itself is quite large and generally unseen. Often, food is being prepared here by the chefs. Four, yes four, refrigerators are full of all sorts of imaginable food and only go empty once every time North America sinks underwater. Electrical stoves with pots and pans of all sort are located here, so many that newcomers become dizzy trying to learn where everything is. A swinging double door, similar to the type some restaurants have, lead to the dining room.
The dining room contains a large circular table that can seat up to ten. Not only, the table also has also pull outs underneath that can double its seating capacity. The table is made out of a dark mahogany with a bullet-proof glass cover protecting it from damage. Servers often bring food from the kitchen out themselves. A large TV, that can descend from a slot in the ceiling, is located at the far end of the kitchen to allow viewing pleasure when bored. When entering from the front door, first one needs to unlock the first door, where they enter into another room with a door at the end. Unlocking that door too, they will find themselves in a grand living room. The black, leather couch is cool to feel and each spot on it can recline individually while two love seats flank it. Directly in front of the couch is a small coffee table, also with a glass covering, and on the other side of the room is, of course, the large, large television. The television is also, of course, a plasma screen and wall mounted. However, the TV is 152 inches, yes that large, and can view in 3-D, with the necessary glasses, if needed to. The staircase, also spiraling, is located on the opposite side of the set, on the right from the front door. Near the bottom, lined up along the wall, are mahogany cases of trophies, awards, and statues as well as a black wine cooler filled with various different rare and expensive wines, though it is rarely touched nowadays since the death of Lilita's parents.
Up the staircase is the second floor of the house. Lilita's parents' master bedroom is located here and takes up a good half of the building. With a large bed that goes beyond king-sized and can also recline, a wall mounted TV, night stands on either sides, built in closets, and a large bathroom, it is without a doubt that this room is possibly the fanciest and most luxurious in the whole house. The bed is soft as a cloud and conforms around the user's shape. The closets are filled with fancy clothing of all sorts and various drawers are located throughout the room while two desks are also here. The bathroom contains a hot tub and a frosted glass shower as well as the toilet. The counter top is made of marble, which also tiles the bathroom, with a mirror over it. In fact, all the bathrooms are marble tiled. The other bathroom on this floor looks exactly like the one in the master bedroom. A guest room is located here also on the other side of the master bedroom, though it is much smaller. Containing a king-sized bed, a simple bathroom with just a toilet and a marble counter and sink, one closet and various drawers for storage, and a single desk, it still quite luxurious.
Up on the third floor is Lilita's room, directly opposite the entrance way is, of course, a large bed, roughly the same size as her parent's bed with mostly the same characteristics. It is soft, form-fitting, and allows for a restful night. Why such a young girl needs such a large bed is beyond anyone besides the fact that it's nice to be able to roll around five or six times. Above the doorway, visible from the bed, is a large 30" wall mounted plasma screen television visible from the bed. While the bed is smack dab centered in on the wall on the other side of the room, in the center right is a large desk with multiple shelves and levels, along with eight drawers down the side, a large center drawer to hold any sort of materials needed, two upraised shelves and two shelves below it, giving it massive storage capabilities. A small closet filled with art supplies are located here too, and if any are required all Lilita has to do is ask one of her servers to retrieve more and it shall be done. On the opposite side of the room, the left, 90% of the wall is taken up by a large closet. With automatic doors to it, there are three rotating racks, operated by a remote, that will come out with a wide variety of clothings for different situations, formal, casual, swimming, etc... Behind these rotating racks of usual outfits are an even larger assortment of clothing placed neatly. Of course, what girl's room would be complete without shoes? A separate shelf in the corner of the spacious closet is dedicated to all of Lilita's various shoes that she has. In the far left of the room is another door that leads into Lilita's own bathroom. Like her parent's bathroom, it is rather large and fancy too. A jacuzzi is right against the wall upon entrance with gilded gold jets and bubbles that can be activated by pressing a button right above the tub. A frosted glass shower is located in the corner if Lilita is ever in a hurry. The toilet is located in a separate small room while the marble counter top has three sinks and a mirror all across it. Piles and piles of towels are here, more than one person would ever need. A small flip-down television is also located near the jacuzzi that allows Lilita to watch TV while relaxing.
A library is located up here too in a room near Lilita's room, possibly to influence her to make her more studious, though we all know how that worked out. The library is quite large and stocked full of books. Unlike the rest of the house, which has a hardwood floor, the library contains a calming blue carpet and blue walls. Rows and rows of shelves are filled with books on all sorts of topics. A computer database is located here, visible upon entering, that has a record of every book here and where it is located. Three other guest rooms, looking exactly like the same like the one on the second floor, are also located here in case there is a need to house many people here. A pull-down staircase right outside Lilita's room leads to the attic. Unlike stereotypical attics, this one is quite neat and clean, the servants keep it from getting musty. It is still used for storage and has a lot of old stuff here too, who knows what one can find up here?
