Chernabog was incredibly pleased, things were coming along exactly as he had hoped. He was proving to the lands of Telk that the monsters they reviled and wanted to eliminate could easily band together. Despite their differences, despite their strengths and weaknesses the Reign of Terror had become strong. Strange bonds had formed between his pack members, and they shared a common enemy in those who thought themselves better, pure, good. He had watched Liriel's brood grow into a fine example of what they stood for. He was proud of them despite the small flaws he found in them, so long as they stood together, protected the chinks in each others armor that was what mattered. The pack had strength of mind and strength of body and though it had been hard to keep everything in line none of them were tearing each other throats out, a success.

Tonight he wanted to display his own pups to the pack, he wanted to show them how strong the future was. He also intended to prove to his pups, his pack, and himself that no child of his would be coddled or given special treatment. If his own spawn were unworthy to someday rule over the reign he could always look to Rumor his adoptive daughter to manage. Naturally he also had his ice queen by his side, and if anything should happen to him he had no doubt in her ability to rule, but cunning such as hers needed strength behind it. He had watched her brush dangerously close to the edge of some force greater then himself when the pups had come, six strong lives struggling to escape into the world from one petite body.

He shook away such thoughts, they were for the future, tonight was something different. He wished Kiara were here, he needed to introduce the younger set to her, to tell her she and Static would be training them in the ways of war. He stepped up over his den onto the sharp jagged obsidian, the rock had probably once been smooth but now bore signs of where his claws had dug into it. He lifted his head feeing the p***k of pain as the metal dug into his flesh, but he was accustomed to the pain. He let loose a long deep howl uncaring how far it carried, let the world know that tonight they gathered. Fire red eyes slowly scanned over the dark forest, only a tiny sliver of moonlight came down and flickered off of the rocky terrain, the rest filtered out by the looming foilage. They were there, some closer, some further, but he knew they would come, they knew he wouldn't call them without good reason for them to all unite was rare...and dangerous.

The howl roused him from sleep, he knew he should probably be awake but he was sore. His king had been relentless of late probably because Cassius was old enough now. He had grown into the long bulky muscles, he had also found metals near the human encampment. He had cloaked himself to cover the worst of the scars though many still showed. He was lucky though, because he was alive and he knew that he would be at the front of the army the king would be proud. He shook an old limp from a hind leg and then shook off again harder the metal chain holding his cloak on jingling.

Something was going on tonight, and he didn't intend to miss it, perhaps new of their alliances and enemies would be shared tonight. More curiously perhaps he'd catch a proper look at the pups they all knew were in the den but had rarely been able to catch a glimpse of. He ran towards the central clearing and skidded to a stop creating a dangerous spray of sharp black shards. He lifted his head gazing up at the frightening image of their king, frightening to the fools who opposed them perhaps but to those within the reign who had come to see him instead as a symbol of their strength, their power, he was as much theirs as they were his. is head slowly swung about to see where his mother and siblings would come from, as well as his other pack mates.

She stood tall, and once the howl was sent through the air, she looked at Truth and motioned her to follow. Keeping herself fit had been easy enough, seeing as she had been doing her best to make sure her pups were trained in the utmost ways of the warrior. They would not have the excuse that they had had poor training.. No.. They would know their place and would fight to keep it.

Her orange pelt rippled with muscle. She had heard of the male named Ba'al.. The Goblin King had spoken of him and she had been curious, if not a bit standoffish. After her first litter of pups, she wasnt all that ready to meet someone else that would be joining the ranks.

User Image

She sat at the clearing, waiting for the King to show himself. Times were much different now, and she had been doing a rather good job of making sure everyone was knowledged and prepared for battle.. Not that she was expecting a battle but by god they would be ready for one nonetheless.

She did not take it easy on the pups, as she hadnt with Rumor as a pup through her own training. She had noticed Truth had become something of a nuissance to her. She liked the girls spunk, but she had no desire to train in the ways of war. She felt sure she would work her way up within the pack in other ways. The only thing Static could think of was whoring herself out as her mother had done.. But she wouldnt allow it.. Not her ward, not again.

It had been rough. The hunt, the attack, the kill, all of the in-between research and word of mouth that he had to follow to do this mission that his to-be King had given him. Even with Lilith at his side, it was rough, and he had no idea at the beginning if he was going to be able to manage the mission or not.

But he was strong, both physically and mentally, and didn't give up. He was set on murdering the wolf that had backstabbed the Reign, and though he wasn't yet part of the pack he himself took it as a blow to his own being, because that's how he knew he would be able to carry out the difficult mission without getting himself or his sister killed.

Ba'al panted a bit while dragging the corpse of the wolf in his mouth, holding her lithe neck between his jaws so tightly he knew he's broken through the jugular long ago--everything in the wolf's neck was snapped, shattered and broken, making it feel even stranger...he hadn't been able to keep her alive, his lust for blood and murder too strong once he had finally come across her.

The long howl made his ears perk, standing tall as if it would help him listen clearer, before looking to his sister and breaking into a lope towards his, hopefully, new King. It didn't date long, even with the lifeless body of the female wolf in his mouth, and he could hear his sister running along behind him, proud and strong.

Slowly, he brought himself to a trot and lowered his head and tail. He could feel the fur along his back still standing on end from the adrenaline, and the blood was still warm and wet across his chest, paws and mouth, though he had made sure to let her bleed out enough that he wouldn't leave a trail behind them to bring more wolves to them. Once he could see Chernadog, he lifted his head a bit and his sister came up on the other side of him, stepping up to their King and dropping Selene in front of the stone he was standing on, bowing their heads to him in respect.

"We've brought back the traitor for you," Ba'al breathed, keeping his voice apathetic and not as excited as he knew he wanted to be, "We couldn't keep her alive long enough for you to end it," he said apologetically, looking up to the large wolf before him.

Lilith had accompanied her brother on this mission, in hopes of also getting into the pack that resembled their first family so much. Well, family was a bit strong of a word--she wouldn't quite call it that. But either way, it felt somehow welcoming to be surrounded by wolves that had the same point in life--which was strange, seeing as she wouldn't have thought she'd ever surround herself by wolves like this ever--ever again.

But the idea of this mission had been too terribly appealing for her to turn it down.

Dropping her head respectfully when they approved Chernadog, she didn't speak, let her brother do all that himself as he looked up at the large wolf, almost expectantly. They had both worked hard to get to this traitor and kill her, and now they were just hoping, praying even, that this was what their to-be King had wanted, and that they had completed the mission with little to no mistakes, to prove that they were good enough for this pack.

It felt strange, being woken up from her spot in 'hiding'...she knew that the King knew she was here, and knew about the pups, but she had yet to be presented to the alpha and she didn't know for sure how he would react to her pups. Aitou knew the basics of the pack and how it was going to work, but she didn't know the fate of her offspring when it came to this pack in the slightest.

Moving to get up, she nosed Kaikon, who was still there with her, and moved to stand up as the pup shook himself off and moved to pad to the front of the den. He looked like he'd fit in well with the atmosphere of the pack--strong, already muscular and fast, smart...her daughter seemed to be out with Freki, where ever he had gone, so she was just going to...go alone.

Aitou was small, but strong. She could hold her own, which is why she figured Freki had actually let her into his den in the first place. But she'd never really gotten a clear answer from the male, and wasn't all that interested in finding out anymore.

Escorting her pup towards the meeting place, she just hoped she'd run into Freki, or even Geri, on the way so it didn't seem like she was trespassing.

Vahrenheit was happy. All these other wolves. He could help do all the work for them, whatever they wanted. He'd love to please them and work for them. He wondered if someone would lay claim to him?

He grinned, aloof, keeping his head low but watching the gathering. He really, really wanted to go up to everyone and just ask if they wanted him to do something.

The howl filled Liriel's ears and roused her from her quiet daydreaming, practically pulling her up onto her paws. She shook off her foggy dreaminess and made her way purposefully towards the shadow of her alpha's den. Her stride regained its usual grace and sauciness as she fully awoke and sashayed to her place amongst her other packmates before the den, taking her seat. It seemed like it had been forever since the pack had met last..and her days had been blurring together as of late. She had met someone interesting and new, and oh how she wished for the next chance she had to speak with him again, and lately her duties had not eaten up much of her time. She hoped, secretly, that the King would send her out to terrorize someone, as filling her days with mundane tasks just made them creep by all that much slower.

Baal startled at the sudden noise as well, his train of thought broken and rattled as he realized that the call was a summoning. He had been walking along the boundaries of the packlands, practicing his stealth: controlling his pawsteps and minimizing the noise he made as he slunk through the underbrush. Of course, at the same time, he was also on the lookout for Aranel as he practiced, sticking around the same area as where they had first met and attempting to track her scent.

It would all have to wait, though, for his loyalty was to the pack first...pretty women grudgingly being second in line. Baal picked up his pace and turned tail back into the pack lands, jogging comfortably along to join the gathered pack outside of the Alphas' den, and he quietly took his seat beside his mother as soon as he spotted her.

His earlier encounter during his hunt had delayed him significantly. His hunt had ultimately been successful, but he was acutely aware that he had wanted to be back near his King's den by sundown, which was well past. He had not counted on either the distraction of a pretty female wolf, nor how large the white stag had ended up being. It had become clear that he'd need to shed some of its weight in order to make good time.

He had torn the less meaty forelegs from the shoulder sockets, and had torn both hind legs off at the hock. The blood soaked into his already red coat, making the fur mat uncomfortably, but his pride at accomplishing this feat for his Alpha distracted him entirely from the discomfort. The stag had put up a valiant fight, not leaving Khorr unmarked from their conflict. The outcome had been most satisfactory regardless.

Even so, the carcass had been terribly heavy. He'd dragged it through the sunset hours and into the night. He'd gotten into the pack's lands after moonrise, and just in time to hear his King howl the summons to all. Growling to himself, he seized the dead stag by the hide above its shoulders and pulled all the harder, determined to reach his goal as swiftly as was possible.

((I have no uncert, sorry!))

She awoke to the howl. She'd been taking it easy the last several days, without an assignment from their Alpha. She yawned lazily for a moment, but then was lunging to her paws and bounding through the darkness to heed his call. Unlike so many females in the pack, she had never cared to court their Alpha whatsoever. He was too much for her, and not to her taste. He made an admirable leader, but was not the sort of wolf for her to desire as a mate.

As such she'd been left entirely out of the vying for his attention and affection. Instead, she was able to purely focus on her job as a canny and lethal force doing his bidding. She was neither big nor small, not terribly broad nor noticably thin. No, her skills were not in brute force as most other warriors excelled in. Her strategy was more subtle, more underhanded, and in certain circumstances more effective. She was quick, lithe, and very nearly silent.

She moved through the tree shadows now with a faint smirk on her face. Perhaps their Lord would have a task for her and others, taking away the boredom of having little to do the last several days. She flashed a grin in the darkness, eyes and fangs glittering in the intermittent moonlight. Once in the meeting clearing, she did not surge to the front, nor hang in the back. She merely found herself a comfortable spot from which to see, hear, and be seen by the King should he need to address her. Once in place, she sprawled in languid grace.

Kaida had been in the middle of contemplative meditation a few paces away from her families’ den. She had spent most of the day alone, in the middle of a self examination and as such hadn’t seen Liulfr since that morning at some point. So it was with mild exasperation that she blinked her eyes open and glanced over her shoulder in the direction of the summoning call. She of course had no choice but to answer the call, however she did have a mini fight with herself about it. She didn’t particularly want to go and immerse herself amongst so many other wolves where the potential for a fight was large. Nor did she wish to be around so many and out in the open like that. She had become a master of blending in with the shadows, going unnoticed even if she was in an open group. However that didn’t mean she enjoyed being around that many at one time. Though… this was a chance to gain a large amount of information, and information was key to ones survival. Perhaps this wouldn’t be an absolutely dreaded meeting after all. Besides she hadn’t seen Liulfr all day and he was bound to be there, and if he was there it was best if she was there to protect him should the need arise.

With that she stood shaking out her coat and started off. As silent as the night itself and as fast as the wind herself, she made good time reaching the edge of the clearing where so many had already gathered in mere moments. She hung back in the shadows her eyes drifting over those gathered, realizing she knew none that were present, at least not by anything but name. As such she waited taking a seat in her shadowed area to wait for the appearance of her brother or one other member of her family.

Verdigris moved slowly and silently towards the summoning, his head low, but not much lower than one would expect a youngster to hold it in the presence of his superiors. The runt of the litter kept an eye out for his larger siblings and any other wolf that may or may not pose a threat to his well being. The small creature did not wish to show any sort of weakness, as he had no desire to be ranked as a slave within such a great pack...

But they were all so big.

But there, there was a slave. A rather cheery looking one. He could possibly dominate over him? Deciding to strut his stuff and to make himself look less downtrodden and weak, he plopped on his rump, right beside Vahrenheit, and cleared his throat.

"You, what's going on, eh?" He looked towards their leader, obviously curious as to what was happening.

Olivine was excited, her father perhaps may not have the utmost faith in her, did not favor her the way he clearly favored her littermates - but today she would not disappoint him and today she lay her eyes on the rest of the pack. It was an important day and she would be observant and proud and well behaved.

She'd already spoken with Lyco, told her to keep from chewing on her paw or other such habits while in the presence of others. Lyco hadn't taken well to the comments but Olivine had learned how best to handle her sister early on. And Osan'gar? Well there really wasn't much to tell him - he just had to look proud and noble which by birthright he had little trouble doing. Yes she was sure this meeting would go well.

Moghedien lay serenely inside her and Chernabog’s den, as serenely as possible with six pups mulling around her. They were already displaying a great deal of personality range between the lot of them and already she could see small alliances forming between siblings and who stood alone. Already they were aware of what was excepted of them, their father had made that terribly clear to them as soon as they would be able to grasp the concept that they were the pups to the alpha’s of one of the largest packs in Telk and more to the point the Heirs to the Reign of Terror. The full complexity of this would not truly dawn on them until they were thrown out to the pack to begin their training and development, something she herself had known and first of all had failed at, she wondered then what lay ahead for her first litter of pups and even as cool as she was Moghedien could not help to feel a little fear for her pups lives.

She herself had gone threw a lot to bring them into this world after all. Though her petite beauty was renowned it was not a body build for birthing pups and a large litter at that. The litters of first time mothers were always a cause for concern but for Moghedien that has been escalated and after a long labour the birthing process began and was long bloody drawn out affair and there was nothing really to be done to help her, again another task in her life she had to battle alone with. The last pup had come eventually but she had had no strength left in her to look upon her work with achievement as exhaustion had rapidly grasped her and placed her into a deep sleep while her body recovered from the ordeal.

She watched with icy cool eyes as Chernabog strode out onto the precipice outside of their den and raised his head and let out a ferocious howl which reverberated off the dens walls with its force. So here another chapter began in her life, truly instated now as alpha female she would official take on that roll to the Reign and also the presentation of her and Chernabog’s pups, whom she would also have to watch carefully over the coming months.

Nayeli had been with her mother, walking silently down the path and smiling to herself. She was still a good bit protective, so the dainty red, black and white wolf had not ventured from the lands or met any of the.. harsher members of the pack without her mother there to keep an eye on her.

She figured that her father would be there soon, and her eyes seemed to light a little when she spotted Kaida. With a slight sound of contentment, she trot over to the other female and nudged their noses together in a greeting before glancing towards the Great King, bowing her head as she knew she needed to.

Raelin moved behind her small daughter's form, nodding her head towards Kaida before glancing around for her mate. Where had Haemon gone to? She glanced about for the wolf that she so adored, giving a soft displeased sigh.

She, too, bowed to their King, the one that she had been trying so hard to please. Someday she would prove that she was more than just the Blood Shaman's pup holder. Until then she needed to remain quiet and behave herself properly, and try to make sure that her children did as well.

There was no mistaking Damon as he slid through the brush, having been checking boarders while he waited for news on his Mistress. He was proud, of course, much like a new uncle might be. All of his hard work protecting the fair wolf and making sure she ended up with a proper mate had paid off. She was now a powerful alpha of an even more powerful pack. Now there was plenty to be cheerful for. They had secured their position with the birth.

And from what his nose could tell, there were plenty of pups. His grin grew brighter and he moved forward, bowing to the King before looking about the others. He kept his suspcious eye on Liriel, figuring that the femme would not be pleased with the fact that Mog had now become everything they had hoped for her.

Haemon had been avoiding Raelin and his 'pups' for a few days now, he just wasn't in the right mind set to see any of them. It had not long pasted that he had met with the Goblin King and had been told to return to Draug to demand tribute one last time and if none was gained to issue a threat to remind the pack and for all those that would learn of the events, what the Reign would do to those that stood in it's way. Any other pack and he would not of batted an eye lid at but this was testing him, the alpha knew this as well, he was sure of; Haemon's mate's uncle was the alpha of the pack and someone who she cared deeply for and the once of good Haemon held onto for sanity was conflicting with his predominate nature to simply out rip the throat out of an imposing wolf and to teach them no one stood against a blood shaman and denied him of what he asked for.

Haemon knew know he'd have to return, his mind clear of Raelin totally and do his duty and to prove to himself and his alpha that his regard for his mate and her family links would not harm his own and the pack he and Raelin now called home, a hard thing to do but it must be done and one he would do without telling Raelin until after the events had occurred.

Having to avoid his mate and offspring he was boadering the north western side of the territory and often straying outside of the boundaries, there were some bonuses to being a Lord, this freedom to leave the packs territory was one.

User ImageUser Image

His pups were getting older now, Kaikon, though he would never be a large wolf by any standards, was growing in a fine male, he was quick to grasp things and quicker still to recover from errors and mistakes, a marvellous skill. Kera was quiet and stealth like and he could see her developing into a fine warrior also, he couldn't really hope for more from his offspring. On thoughts of his offspring Freki's mind strayed to thoughts of Haemon. The blood shaman whom he undoubtedly feared, though of course he'd never let Haemon know this, had been spending much time coming in and out of the packs territory on it's north eastern boarders but never did his scent lead back to his den, ever curious Freki wondered what was bothering his eldest son's mind to be avoiding his beloved mate so. It had been a long time since last they met and he wondered yet if Haemon had learnt of his younger siblings and who their mother was. A grin crossed Freki's lips and a glimmer of excitement flamed into exsistence.

He was at this point patrolling the boarders, as was his and his brothers, Geri's, adopted rolls while they were not being used as the warriors they were. Nothing was really grabbing his attentions while he was deep in thought, most wolves with any sense avoided this boarders at all costs but a long drawn out howl commanded his attention, it was that of his alpha. How interesting, such a howl would only be issued when summoning the pack to meet, now this was something to excite him, the packs numbers had swelled exceedingly in the last few months and with so many wolves of such a nature found in the Reign things could only really be interesting, never a dull moment when blood thirsty, battle hungry, power driven wolves were gathered together.

Freki looked to the sky and barked a command at Munin who seemed to hang in the air and then all of a sudden drop a metre and then with a rapid beat of his wing took off. Freki lowered his gaze to the tree line and then flickered them down to Kera whom had come to stand at his side, he growled at her, 'Keep up.' Freki did swooped his neck around and lowered his weight to the ground and pushed it back and then sprung forwards and began a looping gait towards the main den area. However after noticeable period of time he turned to looked back over his shoulder only to catch the briefest of glimpses of his daughter, his eyes narrowed, he wasn't a great father he was two concerned with his own desires however he wanted to see Haemon's reaction to seeing him turn up with a daughter, son and a mate at the pack meeting. He suddenly hammered his left paw into the ground letting his forward propulsion spin his back legs out behind him as his rapidly span about and when a quick shift of weight he jumped forward charging at Kera. As he closed on her he winked and in one fluid motion he flew by her grabbing her by the scruff of the neck and again spinning about and charging towards the denning area once again.

User Image

Moments later their was a rustle to his left and his glanced over to spy Geri, he stared at his brother long enough to catch his eye and then looked forward once again in the direction he was heading. The brothers ran in sink to each other and as Freki slowed the pace Geri mirrored him. The brothers came into view of the other pack members and both quickly, calculating cast their eyes about the scene. Freki caught Aitou's eye and winked at her. He made his way over to her and took a place by her side, dropping Kera rather carelessly on the ground where the pup starred up at him rather ruffled by the experience by not wholly surprised by the ordeal and sat next to her brother. Freki took no notice of his pups as he looked around for Haemon, though his eyes only found Raelin and a smirk developed on his maw he kept his eyes on her hoping she'd look his way.

Geri watched as his brother advnaced to the b***h that had recently gifted the world with another load of his offspring and he snorted and left Freki to it. Geri was only interested in a little tail as often as he could grasp the opportunity but that was the only thing he thought a female was good for thus he didn't really have any plans to get to know the female whom had interested his brother of late, he just hoped whatever it was Freki was trying to achieve he did it soon and then dumped the burdensome b***h. For now though he stood at the back of the gathering crowd and cast his eyes about, taking the sight in.

Haemon, at the time the alpha's howl penetrated his ears, was contemplating whether to leave for Draug's pack lands but he could not ignore such a summoning. He rose to his full height, taller than the alpha male but he held no mast to his body and only seemly to possess enough muscle to function he looked like a young sapling tree. He began gliding across the ground like a shadow stretching across the ground in the afternoon as the sun tracked it's course before dusk, though a sudden desire filled him to reach Raelin; such a summoning of course meant the pack was gathering and Haemon wanted in that moment to be by her side.

He focused on his heart, encouraging the blood to flow rapidly around his body, passing through his lungs and gathering plenty of oxygen to supply his lean muscles and avoid cramping, he pushed on, gobbling up the ground as he closed onto his desired destination. Multiple minutes pasted as he gusted across the vast area of land that was the Reign's territory and he came into it's heart when he was physically struck and stopped in his tracks, so many wolves already had gathered their blood flows pumping in various rates around their bodies, such a sensation it had been a long time since Haemon had been this overwhelmed. He had to shut it out for a moment and he walked a few paces on wobbling legs and then regaining himself he trotted into the clearing. His eyes did not focus on any wolf in particluar, he was looking for the red, white and black pelt of his mate, he caught sight of his brothers but didn't really take in the full sight, not yet.

There! Off to one side he caught sight of Raelin and he made his way over to her. Slightly apprehensive at first, not knowing how she'd take his absent over the last few days but he knew her well enough, she'd not show him up here, hopefully she'd learnt that lesson. So he came to her side and leant into her, the base of his shoulder pressed against hers and he whispered softly in her ear, 'Hello my pretty.' He closed his eyes in the briefest of gestures and singled out her blood flow out of all the others and felt it pulse against his own.
