North of the railroad tracks that cross Inaba's main highway are even more shops, though less tooled towards everyday needs such as the Tofu shop and the beef bowl place, and aimed more at specific wants such as Tatsumi Textiles and Konishi Liquors. The town layout was obviously designed with this segment of interests in hand, but that hasn't prevented it from being just as busy as it's counterpart in the South, with some eateries and a local shrine making it just as quaint as the second half of the hub of Inaba. Because of the strange interests that a few residents have however, these buildings are packed together a bit tighter, leaving back alleys for unscrupulous business or the purchasing of things that neighbors would frown upon, such as depression medicine and 'unsightly things' in the fickle Japanese mindset. Near the edge of this area is Junes, adding to it's business, acting like a buffer between the southern area's family businesses and the large megastore which crushes competition.
Other important locations that can be visited in the Downtown District include:
-Aiya's Diner -Souzai Daigaku (Beef skewer shop) -Konishi Liquor Store -The Shrine [Shrine Charms, etc.] -Tatsumi Textile Shop

A thick cloud of miasma gathered as a body steadily formed, until Rangda the demon witch manifested in the midst of the Inaba town. "Ah, after ten thousand years I'm free! It's time to conquer Earth!" Rangda let out a callow laugh as it breathed deep the air of the human world, barren of miasma as it usually was, though this town seemed thick with the power endowing stench of their world. It was then that Rangda's impromptu revival was cut short by the sounding of a holy noise which caught it ears and caused the demon to claw at it's ears soundly for a few moments in annoyance before it regained it's composure and looked up to see the things which now challenged it and harkened the powerful demon's attention, the figures of angels gathered to put a stop to the resurrection of a beast that had meant to sleep for eternity in the waged war that took place between it and Barong. The noise that Rangda heard was the sign of the approaching enemy , as two Virtues gathered to defend the town. Where they had breached into the world was unknown, but it was obvious they'd had contact for some time already though as they angled through the streets easily, familiar enough with the human creations. "Demon, this world will be one of Law and guidance! Those who summoned us were correct in assuming your kind would try to sway this world. Prepare to die." The two Virtues prepared to attack, obviously higher class angels than the Powers who had once appeared in a similar situation, though the person who had orchestrated that was now put away from doing more harm. The mystery of who was summoning angels into the world of humans was cut short however as Rangda began to fume at the interference, raising it's hand against them despite their warning of imminent defeat."Fools! I am here as an emissary of his lord Beldr! I will be a harbinger of his reign over these pathetic humans!" The strange witch raised it's hand as the blade like claws gathered a mass of sparkling energy within them, a sign that it was casting a spell without hesitation as a Maragion caught both in a wave of fire, removing the angels from it's presence. "As long as we serve lord Beldr, we are unbeatable! Now I will pave the road for my master to come forth again. Burn before the witch of corruption!" Rangda floated just above ground, dancing through the air back and forth, up and down like paper as gravity continued to have no binding on it, fire gathering in it's hands again. The entire Downtown District would be it's sacrifice, an offer of suffering to the one whom knew true cruelty in the form of betrayal! The humans had no idea what had happened to their master Beldr, who was once considered like a shining god and beacon to the world, rather than the demon he was now. But cast from heaven as he was he had begun a guiding light for the demons to follow, and the hellfire and brimstone that lay in his wake would be a path for their kind to rule and usurp heaven's grasp in this new world!

Zeo was just walking home from letting the cops handle the taken far too early love interest of his when he ran into the group of demons and what have you in the same District. "The hell is that? Some sort of dude like, witch like crazy deal? Oh man, I'm starting to see things." Zeo rubbed his eyes a bit tiredly before looking up again and seeing that it was still there, as well as the red misty stuff which made up the miasma that brought the creature here. "Guess this isn't an illusion. Hehey...HEEEYYYY, you big ugly tranny from Hell! Why don't you go back to where you belong!" Zeo shouted, jabbing a thumb into his chest to show just who was going to put it there if it didn't obey. Sure Rangda seemed like something out of the ordinary, but he was a machine created for a purpose, and that included fighting things that might hurt people on a daily basis. "You want to tangle with powers? I'll give you powers you soulless lowlife piece of TRASH! You're wrong if you think you're more Demon than me!" Zeo shouted, though this was actually the first time he'd encountered Demons personally. For now he speculated it was a Shadow of some sort, or maybe a Persona, with the user hidden amongst things. Of course since Raidou was his girlfriend it was kind of a surprise he didn't just ask her, though that wasn't something he could find out easy either.

Aselia Bluespirit
A figure soon dropped out of the sky, white wings spread wide as the figure held up a weapon that seemed a cross between sword and spear; a long, straight blade, but a long handle as well, that she carried as if it were quite light... though logic dictated that such a weapon actually be somewhat heavy. "Nn." the girl said firmly as she looked at the demon. She launched up towards Rangda a moment later, ice sheathing her weapon as she moved up to attack and charged the weapon with an element. It was the job of Agents of the Yatagarasu to stop demons that threatened innocents, after all, and while she wasn't a Kuzunoha, Aselia did know her duty. With or without help from anybody else, she intended to see to it that this demon ceased to be a threat.

Valem Helmyre 'Demon; looks like a rogue one...' Valem thought to himself from his vantage point atop a nearby roof; shifting out of his illusory guise. He couldn't hold the guise in combat anyway; not like Kai could at least. He needed his energy focused on one thing if the situation got bad. Valem had used the guise of Captain Bravo of the Embryon in order to traverse the distance safely without being stopped by any Embryon who may have recognized him. When he'd come near the pulse of energy's source, he found his way to the rooftops and began to move from roof to roof in order to secure a higher view of the situation; also to keep himself a safe distance from whatever caused the disturbance. Clicking a summoning tube once; he brought forth Abaddon, a Tyrant-class demon, and allowed the armored being to overlook the scene with him. "Do hyu know anythink aboot dis von?" Valem whispered to Abaddon; who shook his head No in response. Abaddon's chains were clutched carefully in the demon's hands in order to reduce their shifting; which would alert the demon to the extra presence if his hearing was above that of normal beings. Best to watch and see what happened before entering combat; if the demon showed a weakness early in, Valem could strike from above against it and potentially critical an unaware foe; otherwise he would have to attack normally and try various means one after another; a tedious process that he had neither time nor energy to waste doing.

Asuka Bokuro
Asuka rode up to the scene on the back of her newest companion Orthrus. She placed a hand on both of the demon's heads and lowered her own. "Keep quiet, there are others here, but I want to asses the situation first, okay boy?"The Orthrus quietly nodded both heads and replied quietly "Whatever you say Mistress.

Valem Helmyre the message resounded in thought-speech to Abaddon; Valem knew the demon could take care of himself to some degree; and more importantly he could maintain a mental link with the demon and keep tabs on the fight while keeping to his own agenda. So long as he was careful not to come under attack, he wouldn't have to summon a new demon and disrupt Abaddon in the process. < If that thing starts attacking, engage; but if the situation is beyond your control; you know what to do. I'm going to keep tabs on this fight from a distance, hopefully somewhere I can grab reinforcements if necessary.>and with that, Valem quickly maneuvered himself several rooftops away before returning to the ground level. Keeping watch over the freed Demon, Abaddon's unseen eyes glinted through the darkening twilight far better than any human could; the demon appeared to be a fire-wielder; something that could prove a hazard to the city. Human construction was so flimsy when it came down to it; their towers of steel could be melted away with a single blast of empowered flame and the creatures would be fearful thinking it was some terrible fury of hell come upon them... When really it was their own terrible design choices. After all, the steel chains that had bound him lay around him, the bonds broken and now his weapon.

A laugh that was not only creepy, but also filled with an ambient menace that only demons could give off reigned in the air as those who had appeared waited patiently on the sidelines, giving Rangda enough time to gather itself and stablize it's own power in the real world. "You are right to cower, mere humans! Let me flush you out of your holes, heeheehee!" The miasma swirled from it's finger tips as it threw a Mustard Bomb at the nearest building where the white winged girl had descended, demolishing a good portion of the wall with it and sending up a spray of the gas for the fools to breathe in if they insisted on putting up any resistance, something that would be unfathomable for ordinary humans with their weak beings and selves, helpless against it's sadistic laugh which tainted teh air."What are you waiting for, come out to play my minions!" The demon witch let loose a wave of it's energy, tainting the air as a gust of wind blew out of the alleyways, and then a pair of civilians began to stumble out, as if mesmerized or confused. A black haired man looked up at Aselia and reached towards her, grasping feverishly. "H-HeLp..." The voice was unusual, as if whoever it might be was clearly not in their right mind, though the body language easily gave that away as well as they lumbered forward. Meanwhile a blond, punkish looking figure swaggered towards Asuka and where the Devil Summoner who left were, before stumbling halfway over and landing on the ground, flailing and gripping at it's chest. "Grrrahhh..." The moan was equally abysmal, and after the noise faded the figure stopped moving, perhaps unconscious or dead from the pain. "Heeheehee...I'd love to stay, but I must away! Beldr's resurrection begins today!" Rangda laughed again as it began to float higher, moving over some buildings and out farther into the District, perhaps attempting to escape to perform the actions it'd mentioned before; acting as fuel for Beldr's conquest in the human world.

Aselia Bluespirit
Aselia didn't seem to have terribly noticed the man that had stumbled out of the building, as she'd taken off earlier and shot through the air towards Rangda. With her weapon charged up to hit a lot like Bufu spells, the swift girl swung for an overhead slash at the demon, clearly attempting to take it down hard. The effects of her Atma probably didn't hurt in that regard; the girl's wings weren't there for decoration, but were actually quite practical, which meant that escaping into the sky wasn't really an option against her... for her, occasionally, but not against. Which was more of an accessory than anything else. Go for the source, her teachers had explained. Often, when the head is slain, the body will follow. Eliminate the root of the problems, rather than plucking off flowers and leaves, and only then can you be sure it won't grow back. Aselia had people in town that she truly cared about, and this demon wasn't going to get away without a fight!

"Shadow lets get out of here!" Ryan said after they left their marks somewhere on the outskirts of the dormitory's outer security wall; a big happy rainbow from a bag of awesome Skittles. They came running towards the Northen District, Ryan saw a large cloud of miasma. "What the hell?" he muttered seeing Rangna fighting Aselia. Shadow was growling at the demon. Ryan looked around and found a pipe, and taking it, he slashed at the air like a sword. "This might work," he mused with a smirk, appraising his new weapon carefully.

HaJiMe YoShImUrAPretty boy and ex-serial killer Hajime came sauntering out of the Konishi Liquor store with his patented gentle smile on his face. A smile that wouldn't indicate anything of his evil past; It wouldn't show anything of the atrocities he has committed. His stiff leather shoes crunched softly on the pavement as he walked out into the night. The town was so calm so beautiful on a night like this. Sure he had lost contact with his little brother and little sister and sure he was beginning to run out of the medication that kept him docile, but he didn't have any worries. No worries about his siblings, no worries about his medication running low it was all going to be alright. Yoshizo was a big boy and could definitely take care of himself, and wherever Chihiro was sent by those embryon guys she must have been okay, especially after the power he saw her using. Hajime walked down the street with his light cheery smile on his face until he came to the little path that led up to the shrine where he had been spending most of his nights with a big bottle of alcohol and his thoughts. He could feel the boredom welling up inside him, the same boredom that set him off in the past. He was beginning to need the thrill of the hunt, the thrill of holding that precious heart and then engulfing it. Cracking the top of the sake bottle Hajime lifted the cold glass to his lips and took in his first sip of rice wine for the night. The little shrine was relaxing for a night of drinking and Hajime was loving it tonight. As Hajime imbibed the sake his normally cool and calm demeanor slowly melted away and he became less and less reserved. Once the bottle was half gone Hajime was really gone. Raising the bottle to the sky he grinned as if he was making a toast to an unseen companion. "We-hic-ll here is too you nu-hic-number one...I thuh-think your name wa-was Hanako." Taking another swig of sake Hajime let out a smokey laugh that by now would probably have become synonymous with another member of the Yoshimura living in the sleepy town of Inaba. "Oh...Oh you too number two... you were na-named Ai...Uh thin-hic-k it was Ai ah-at least...You were my favorite! I swuh-swear!" Looking around carefully Hajime seemed to be checking to make sure no one was watching. Raising the bottle of sake back to his lips Hajime chucked the rest of it and then tossed the bottle up into the shrine where it shattered into a thousand pieces on the offertory box. Haji sat for a moment just staring off into the knight sky and then his head shot the the side. "Shu-up! No one asked you abo-about anything!" Hajime's head snapped back to attention looking in the other direction. "No! Shu-shut it nuh-now!-hic-" Hajime yelled to himself angrily shaking his fist and grabbing a small bottle of green pills from deep in his left pants pocket. Popping the bottle open Hajime shoved a bunch of pills into his mouth and dry swallowed them. Slowly Hajime drifted into sleep, as his heart rate and breathing were slowed by the drugs. "Time for sleep..."

HaJiMe YoShImUrAPretty boy and ex-serial killer Hajime had been having great drug induced dreams. Young beautiful women danced around Hajime while he lounged with a bottle of wine and cake and presents surrounding him. They skipped and twirled as he gorged on food and delicious wine. Well he was dreaming until someone decided to wake him up. It was a dog's barking that woke the 25 year old college graduate from his slumber. The dog clashed with Hajime's idealistic dream, he hated dogs, not because of anything in particular but they never seemed to like him much. As the young man with the dog approached Hajime was roused but he kept his eyes closed hoping they would just leave him alone. Alas his hopes were dashed when the kid spoke to him. One blue eye opened hastily, and from behind it's blonde shaggy shades he could appraise the young man who decided to talk to him.Hajime moved his leg to avoid the pipe being used to poke his leg just to let the boy know that he was very much aware of what was going on. He didn't seem too shady or weird but the way he spoke to Hajime was interesting. He was obviously taller, and older than the boy but he spoke to the older boy with such familiarity. For someone like Hajime who was brought up traditionally he was a little insulted. "Don't call me dude. I am older than you treat me with a little respect..." Hajime's voice was harsh, like it would have been if he had caught his siblings doing something bad. Shaking some hair from his face Haji stood up and patted some of the dust from his jacket. "I can sleep wherever I please just so you know. But maybe you should get yourself somewhere safe." Hajime nodded sagely to the advise he gave the boy. It was good advice after all with all the murder going around you could never be sure. "You never know which person you wake up from a sound sleep on the steps of a shrine is one of the murderers who has been killing the townspeople." Hajime smiled snarkily. It was true, this kid was lucky he had only found Hajime and not someone else.

"what do you mean?" ryan asked pressing on the the curious info he gave him.
