I want to be creative at the moment, but after 4 college semesters of studio behind my belt I feel creatively drained.
How can I jog my creativity and paint/draw something? Every time I try to paint or draw I tend to get a headache and I'm not able to think freely.
What are some ways you guys excercise your creativity?

hm...
I have issues with creativity at times..
Sometimes a good read on a story will get me thinking about the characters, and since I am in an rp that I love, I am always asking if I could draw the characters...
Other times, just a break from everything is what I need. Its like a restart or something... I log off the computer, go out of my room, and either sit down and watch tv -which I hardly ever do... idk why I don't watch a lot of Tv.- or go outside, go out shopping with mother... spend a day with a friend... And just let my mind wander the whole time. On different ideas.
Also, I like to lay on my bed and look up at my ceiling. It has a texture, and sometimes I see little pictures. Trying to make something out of the pattern gets the mind working.
Other times, its just a matter of looking at other art work, and going oh! I love that pose! I know what I can draw with it as well! Its like using a picture as a reverence. If you start to see it as something different, you know you found your insperation..
Oh geez... I left you quit the book. I do hope any of this works.
-also, I find that if I am having a block of any creativity, its because I have to much on my mind. So I open word, and just write what evers on my mind, and keep writing until I can't think of what else to write. lol, it helps clear your mind as you basically dump it all on word, and with a clear mind you can think of pictures and stuff. ^^-

well you could relax first and let the inspiration come to you. go out into the city or into the nature and maybe that will fix it ... if always works for me .. if not I'll just enjoy a movie or anime and I'm back in the game ... you can also get read of all your energy and than .. after a good sleep you'll be back .. have patience and it will be solved .. I hope. sweatdrop hope it helps .. redface

Honestly? I watch cartoons. I think it actually helps if you have something to do, a show you follow besides that you have never watched before, start listening to a new genre of music altogether or just do something that is absolutely new to you. That usually gives ideas like nothing else.
